In early access it simply uses the Mars/Venus symbols to choose your body type, and there is another setting within the character creation for identity. If I remember correctly, the earliest early access builds did not have the identity shit and it was simply tied to the Mars/Venus icons for male and female.

I believe in the full release what they are doing is that "body type" and gender are separate altogether. You select a body type (these are icons from what Larian showed but not Mars/Venus), depending on race there are 2 or 4 options (normal male/female, buff male/female). "Gender identity" and "genitalia type" are distinct settings within character creation.

The "gender identity" setting in both early access and release candidate builds Larian showcased use male, female, and "non-binary/other".

Just to be clear, this game offers an "other" gender option, will feature swappable genitalia (not in early access), allows you to pick any voice with any gender, beards on females, allows you to select basically any skin color for any race regardless if it fits within DnD/FR racial features.

Many of the women are not anywhere near the same level of attractiveness as some of the male characters seem to be. These people really live in some alternate reality that I just can't comprehend.

Just another reminder that no amount of appeasement is ever enough for these faggots.

This man cucked so incredibly hard the moment he announced running for leadership. Shitty pandering and posturing like this is why the right is never able to recover lost ground in the culture war.

Not going to claim to be an expert on him, but from what I have watched of him, he seems pretty consistently against censorship and cancel culture. When the trannies went after that one vtuber over Hogwarts he was doing the whole "not all trannies are bad" thing while shitting on the ones that were terminally online.

I would say he occupies a good niche, but I wouldn't expect him to get too deep into pointing out root causes of some of these problems.

The game follows DnD 5E pretty closely, but adapted into a video game so there are some changes or differences. Early on in early access people were complaining the game was too much like DOS2 with the focus on surfaces, which aren't really a DnD mechanic, and have since been toned down significantly (but not removed). The scale of the characters and traversing the maps is much more similar to DOS2 than it is to BG1 or 2.

As somebody who enjoyed both BG and DOS, but hates DnD 5E, I did actually enjoy my time playing in early access. Expect it to play much more like if DOS2 was turned into a DnD 5E game than if BG1/2 were updated to 5E standards.

Some do. More realistically they only really compare their health care to the US, and simply conclude that, because it's "free" (of course meaning socialized and part of why taxes are so high), it's automatically better than the US health care system.

I'm not going to say the US system is perfect or even particularly good, but at least if you have a moderate to major problem and aren't immediately dying you have the opportunity to receive care in a timely manner. Have a crippling back problem that requires surgery? In Canada, you can easily be waiting 2+ years for anything to be done about it.

I'm still trying to figure out if this outcome was what the Liberals were aiming for all along, or if they are really that fucking stupid that they thought these companies would pay out for news links.

The mere thought that he had more concern about the criminal threatening him and his family thinking he might be racist than he did about anybody's actual safety is honestly terrifying. He just "wanted to be left alone", hoping to set the thug on some other family instead, where he wouldn't have thought twice about the consequences of such an action.

This is one of the most cucked displays I think I've ever seen.

This logic also doesn't work in numerous shithole states or other similar grooming-obsessed countries like Canada. If you communicate and express certain views to your child, and the child mentions it around or to a teacher (or any other groomer in a position of power), you can have child services called on you and your children taken away, with no recourse but to kneel to the lady dick mafia.

This has been going on for a couple of years already. Capcom is just bold enough to admit publicly that localization and censorship takes place during development of the game itself, causing not just the localized versions to be ruined, but original Japanese releases as well. Leftoids can then point out that the localization is faithful to the Japanese original and that it follows the creator's intentions.

This is going to get much worse before it gets better...if it ever will get better.

My family tried to pin "dog uncle" on me after my sister got herself a dog. I said never to call me that ever again, and thankfully they haven't.

I love and respect animals, but they are not people.

What even the fuck would be considered offensive in these games? Having played them all originally, I legitimately can't think of any instance of potentially offensive dialogue.

I'm sure the government response will be to create a requirement to sell food product that is free of allergens if they sell products that contain them, or some other similarly stupid shit, because they will never reflect upon the consequences of their shitty legislature and think to roll it back to something reasonable.

Well that sucks ass. I was just looking at getting an audio interface and as far as I've seen, Focusrite has some of the best hardware quality at the entry level.

Spit on a cop, they will violently arrest you and throw a sack on your head, Spit on somebody within eyesight of a cop, the cop just laughs.

You are correct, but Naoki Yoshida has already expressed himself to be relatively progressive as far as Japanese people go. He has expressed sympathy for trannies at least once in the past when talking about removing gender restrictions from some armor in FF14. Because of this, I expect on some level he is vulnerable to appeals to emotion by gaming journalists demanding more woke shit in games. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid and he continues to just try making good games instead of appealing to certain demographics.

Government health care is rationed health care. God help you if you have a less than common condition or one that is not easily diagnosed, there is a decent chance you end up dead before you actually receive meaningful aid.

I'm fairly certain most Japanese people aren't aware just how hostile gaming journalists are to their supposed audience. They don't often get to hear directly from players saying not to inject woke shit because it gets filtered out by their woke western branches when relaying feedback, so I think a lot of them assume gaming journalists are representative of gamer's desires, at least in the west.

There was a time when schools drilled it into your head not to post personal info online, particularly your name or location. I can only assume privacy and security isn't even mentioned these days.

This is a very good point. Gaming is too much about the numbers now rather than just making some cool shit. The future of metroidvanias is probably in indie games where they can still capture the magic of games without being completely sanitized by corporate.

While I enjoyed Dread, I agree with you on pretty much every point and have also never felt the desire to replay it. I think it was inevitable for the series to go the railroading route given how Nintendo tries to add things to games to make them easier for bad gamers. Veteran players are supposed to sequence break by going through those heated rooms and such, but those all feel very clearly intended as sequence breaks by the devs rather than feeling like natural exploration.

What Nintendo does nowadays is write the Japanese script for their games to mirror censorship and localization fuckery that would occur in the west, that way people don't complain that the game got butchered in localization, and for whatever reason people are more willing to accept shitty ESG practices in games if all versions of the game suffer from the same woke garbage instead of it happening during localization.

This is going to get worse over time.
