This was always one of the most confusing contradictions in the leftist worldview. Has anyone tried telling a lib that we can't be racist because race doesn't exist?
You have racial checkboxes for everything in lib world, but if race is just a fictive social construct then anyone should be able to check any of the boxes, right?
The rebuttal would most likely be "you have such a poor grasp on the concept that it sickens my delicate vegan stomach" but I feel like there should have been millions of people that objected to this. It's such a nonsensical pair of ideas.

Don't fixate on contradictions when it comes to leftist doctrine. leftists constantly contradict themselves, and they are either too stupid to know it or don't care. some other examples:

That's why men can be women and women can be men or non-binary but also trans which requires one to be either a man or a women despite them not being a man or a women.

I was with some relatives once and my in-law started saying how White people aren't really a race because White people were racist against each other. He said in colonial America they considered Irish and Italians to be niggers and therefore not White.
I didn't want to get in a heated argument since I was with family, but I said, "Why do we use the term people-of-color then? We consider that a politically correct term, even though it's inherently exclusive. It's only defined by the exclusion of White people from that group."
The group just got quiet and nobody replied for a while until the subject changed.

Simple rebutal : Legally, the Irish were considered White otherwise they wouldn't have been allowed pre 1965 immigration reform.
That there were cultural / ethnic conflict between different White ethnicities dosen't negate the fact that Europeans / Whites form a racial group ( with subgroups ).

My favorite was when I asked a leftist, who’d been complaining about the audacity of that woman who pretended to be black, why changing gender was okay but not race. They explained that you can’t become black because being black encompasses a history of racial oppression and cultural heritage that you simply can’t be part of by tanning. I asked how a man occupy a history of suffrage, feminism, and patriarchal oppression simply by putting on some lipstick and declaring he’s a woman. I was told that’s different because it’s about gender.
There's double standards in all aspects of leftism. Reminds me of a sociology course I had to take I college. They mentioned one majority white school and how all the black kids ate lunch together because they were victims of racism. Then the next story was a majority black school where the white kids ate together....because the white kids were racist.
Or here's a good one. White men who date beyond their race always had bad intentions (ie viewed Asians as more traditional, etc). But white men who refused to date outside their race were just plain old racist

As other mentioned, there is no arguing with a leftist but the concepts do appear in center left people so if that ever comes up in to discussion ask them to define racism.
What passes for racism is usually just tribalism and pattern recognition. No one hates because they don't like melanin.

If you want to have fun with it, wait for a lib to call you racist (shouldn't take long), then accuse them of furthering "systems of Whiteness by racialising [whatever you were talking about]." I've had that in my life. My Dad has been convinced that he can't be Hispanic because he's actually German. He speaks Spanish and is from Argentina. The way we lump groups together has been entirely arbitrary, but no one expects to actually talk about it. They want the quick catch phrase and stop there. Heck, most of the US thinks Hispanic = Mexican. Since my dad is t Mexican and spoke German and Spanish growing up he can't be Hispanic.
If I bring up traditional Argentine stuff like Maté, which doesn't have that accent mark in real life. It's the only way I can convince people I don't want to mate or go to pub. I have to spell it that way so my wife can look for it at Publix and I can enjoy some conversation time. None of this will be known among people claiming to celebrate Hispanic heritage. They want the stereotyped Mexican image, and that's it.
In the same way, they claim white people are one chunk and can't handle the idea of separate people's. German Christmas has flaming trees and demons. Santa has horses. They've worked hard to sanitize it and make it I to this weird Americanized idea. English Christmas has terrible food except the pies.
