... But why did this have to be the catalyst? Why did it take a milquetoast neocon getting killed in front of his family on camera for all the world to see to wake your average person up to the realities of, among other things, spiritual warfare (see also Ephesians 6:12 on my previous post)? Why did Joe Blow ignore our warnings (of those who bothered, anyway) until what was warned of came to them?

Honestly, it concerns me. Maybe I've just OD'd on paranoia but it almost seems like there's outside momentum pushing this along. I feel the same about the patriotic stirring in the UK. I generally don't believe in 'people power'. I'm a lot more sympathetic to elite theory. I don't think anything changes in society without somebody in power wanting (or allowing) it to change.

The lesson they should have learned is that when you deliberately ignore safety regulations that are there for a good reason, and think you can ignore the laws of physics, you will face dire consequences. If Chernobyl didn't happen, most of the propaganda against nuclear energy would be dead in the water. Charlie Kirk was closer to being an everyman than the vast majority of right wing media figures, so his assassination struck a lot closer to home for most. For example, the left calling Alex Jones a "far right, istaphobic, fascist nutjob" isn't a hard sell to the center. Saying the same about Charlie (who by all appearances was a good family man that simply tried to talk to the other side) is many times more difficult, especially because the left consistently overuses/misuses words that should have strong meaning.
Now throw in that they were negatively affected by and still vividly remember the Covid response, the Summer of Love, the Biden presidency, general lefty smugness/overreach/hypocrisy, the absolutely ghoulish public grave dancing and celebration, the nastiness sent towards the widow and children, and how quickly and viciously the left turns on those that lose their favor.
An "Oh shit! The left hates me, and that could have been me, and they would act the same way towards my family!" moment is easy.
I choose to look at it from a different perspective. Charlie Kirk's death could have passed without much fanfare and been memory-holed like so many other senseless deaths. Instead it is fueling the cleansing of evil from our society, and I think there is a non-zero chance that this is a divine will. They say God works in mysterious ways, so perhaps he knew that Charlie as a man of faith would be at peace with serving the Lord's will, and that will was to cleanse the evil that has taken root within our society. You don't dislodge that easily and it would take something significant to do that. Charlie is the instrument of that will, tragic though it may be for those who mourn him.
I agree. I'm not really religious anymore, but I know enough about the Bible I think, to know that as much as Charlie would miss his wife and children so much, it's nothing compared to the joy he would feel of being in the presence of his God.
Honestly this might sound corny but I hope for his sake that Christianity is real, just so that I can feel like his death is a reward for him and not just disappearing into the abyss.

Somewhat surprised as well -- some normie channels I followed had a bit of a wake up call and a bit of a course correction in their thinking.
Seeing a good Christian lad lose his life in real time when he was only preaching to follow God, work hard, start a family, and raise kids, was enough to galvanize some people in how they think about how the world actually works, giving them the necessary epiphany that there really is evil in the world.
I think that had there not been an orgy of celebration over the murder of Charlie Kirk that this awakening would not have happened.

It accelerated them because Charlie, in his effort to live according to Christ, effectively acted like a Christ figure. His death acts as a sacrifice that will give others courage and spread his message further than he would have, even while alive. The Christians are definitely onto something useful with their mythos.
