How are they excusing this? Saying it was a test run?

“Those numbers should not have appeared on the screen, and it was an error by WNEP that they did,” the broadcast station reportedly told Daily Mail about the ‘glitch.’ The broadcaster clarified the slip-up that caused a stir on social media, explaining that the numbers aired were purely “randomly generated test results” with no connection to actual vote counts.

“The numbers seen on the screen were randomly generated test results sent out to help news organizations make sure their equipment is working properly in advance of election night,” they added.

I don't believe them. If you're going to do that, you specifically do not want to use randomly generated results. Send everyone results of a 69,420-69,420 tie instead, so there's no way that they can be mistaken for a genuine result.

It's within 10% of the 2020 election voter turnout as well, at least make it some preposterously high number that is literally impossible in the the state.

Yeah, if the split is 69 Kamala 420 Trump with 9001% of precincts reporting there's no doubt that that shit is a test run that shouldn't have shown up. Or even if they don't wanna meme it up, just 123,456 and 987,654 or flat numbers like 300,000 to 400,000 would make it crystal clear. But nah, that shit's a fucked up dry run that shows why they need the practice runs to begin with. They're aggressively incompetent.

the ‘glitch.’

This word being used that is almost never used to describe an error in software. "Glitch" implies it was not the fault of the programmer, which is BS because a program does exactly what you tell it to.

the numbers aired were purely “randomly generated test results” with no connection to actual vote counts

Terrible CYA. Either the results weren't randomly generated and whoever made the results had a bias that they baked into the generation, or they had ChatGPT produce the data with some prompt of "produce mock 2024 presidential election results for Pennsylvania similar to the 2020 election" and fed it that. There was clearly no checking of the data before sending out or some asshole went "this is fine", or the one producing the results is also the person sending it out.

They did this last time with Kari Lake. They aired her opponent winning in AZ, and whaddayaknow, she won! What a coincidence. PA needs to be discounted immediately and investigated for inevitable shenanigans.

PA's in an awkward spot for me since I grew up there. I wanted desperately to leave while growing up, but now I kinda want to go back. It's highly mismanaged, however, that's undeniable.

My family left before I was of age, which is somewhat good. We are refugees. Pieces of my family have continued to live there on and off. But, slowly, they are all disappearing. Either dead or retired elsewhere.

The excuse that it was a "test run" was obviously bullshit, but the idea that a local news station for the exact vote totals 10 days in advance is also a bit of stretch.

I think the simplest explanation is that it was someone posting it and hitting upload as a protest or fuck you. I'm assuming they got fired quietly.

We're less than a week to election day with some shenanigans in PA already happening. Confirmation bias will snap Hanlon's razor in half.

That's my thoughts. This a lefty that wanted to "own the Trumpers" and hit go live with a bunch of test numbers that show Harris ahead.

I'm open to evidence otherwise because they are going to cheat. I just don't think this is them doing anything more than petty mind games.

It's probably a genuine test.

Look, when it comes to voter fraud, you wouldn't see F charts if they already had pre-determined outcomes. They also wouldn't say they need 5 days to count.

▲ 24 ▼
– ailurus 24 points 1 year ago +24 / -0

I want to believe you. But:

  1. As usual, the "glitch" only goes in one direction

  2. There are active investigations in PA about thousands (or maybe it was tens of thousands) of fraudulent voter applications

  3. Law enforcement was actively turning people away from early voting sites hours before the sites were scheduled to close.

PA's system is rotten.

The purpose is to demoralize Trump supporters and rally Harris supporters.

The station isn't 'in on the steal' but it is manipulating public opinion similar to "51 intelligence officers" or Google/Facebook only reminding Democrats to vote.

It maybe be coordinated or just aligned, but it is on purpose.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– Gizortnik 2 points 1 year ago +2 / -0

I don't think it's effective enough to do that. And why are they trying to rally Trump supporters in an F1 race?

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– fauxgnaws 2 points 1 year ago +2 / -0

They were trying to demoralize Trump supporters and rally Harris ones.

And were you watching an F1 race? I wasn't and still heard of this "glitch".

They also wouldn't say they need 5 days to count

Actually, that's exactly what they need.

After polls have closed, the fraudsters are able to see exactly who has voted, so they can start churning out ballots from people who didn't vote and have those ballots miraculously appear in "misplaced" or "found" boxes (with no chain of custody) to be counted in the days following the election.

That's why we get the F charts.

– Gizortnik 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

You're going backwards here. I agree with you, that's why I don't think someone putting pre-built results is how they commit fraud.

Personally, if I were faking an election, I wouldn't send the numbers out stations until the time they would have been sent in a real election.

But if I were faking an election, I also wouldn't be trying to fake an election for the gay fake retards team, because that's not an especially competent group of people and I wouldn't want somebody to do something stupid like accidentally air fake results early.

So who knows? They could be retarded, they could be evil, but in a sane system, neither of them would get to have a say either way. Maybe for different reasons, but disempowered all the same.

▲ 3 ▼
– Flarisu 3 points 1 year ago +3 / -0

If you want to cheat at the elections, you don't run around telling media outlets what the results are. If you want to cheat you tell as few people as possible, because one leak means game over. Running around with fake data submitting to media companies, assuming they will play along, and all their employees play along, is asking for failure.

Democrats are stupid, but they aren't that stupid. I buy that this was just people at the station fucking up - because it makes a lot more sense.

If people are going to cheat at this election, their plan will be same as last election.

Wait till the last hour, see which swing states need only a few votes to push you over the edge, arrive with a small official election team, kick out all the administrators, have very close to exactly the number of ballots you need to push it over, have them come back in and recount, then dip out.

this way, you minimize the impact of your cheating to reduce your chance of getting caught (only the few districts that are close need attention, and only a few piles of pre-printed ballots and small number of people are required).

Their plan will not involve widespread mass media conspiracy lying, because this involves the collaboration of thousands and thousands of people, and among there, there's one democrat who probably thinks "hey, if I leaked this, I'll be a national hero" before the Dems execute them in cold blood a la Seth Rich. They can handle one Seth Rich, but they can't handle hundreds.

lorem ipsum exists for a reason. also layout of election result does not need to be tested. if you fuck that up from your design to live system you are not qualified for the job

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 4 ▼
– ModsAreAIDS 4 points 1 year ago +4 / -0

Then they could put the candidates names as "Candidate1" and "Candidate2" on the graphic to test everything. Text is just text, so there is no reason they need the actual names in there. There is also no reason to have the vote totals be close to realistic either.

This excuse that they were just testing the system is complete bullshit. The media does not deserve the benefit of the doubt, ever. They have proven time and time again that their acts of "stupidity" are actually malice. Anyone who still follows Hanlon's razor is just as retarded as Hanlon was.
