China has had so many internal issues for CENTURIES that I doubt that was the plan or if it was they were little more than a shell company
Think the real plan was to diminish US hegemony and replace it with international organisations like the UN, EU, WHO, IMF etc and the pandemic was a test run for it.
It failed but they're still trying to persue the plan anyway which is why this year SO much has broken down because they won't acknowledge they don't have the resources to continue so I think we're ending up at having NO global power, maybe several regional powers and even corporations controlling some regions.
China is simply not meant to be a conquering nation. They built the most powerful navy in the world in the 1400s, well before Columbus, then they just sort of stopped using it for no good reason.
I didn’t see the original 5 guys post. For me it was the “gamers are dead” articles that opened my eyes.
Then I saw the same playbook in comicsgate and sad puppies. All that was prelude to 2016.
Then I started thinking back and saw that the rot started a long time before that. Like the day I realized every single article on io9 was about being gay, black, or female. Or a gay black female. Or that time Scientific American had a message from the editor saying that they were going to “make a stand” and be political… but the articles already were.
Then I started thinking back and saw that the rot started a long time before that.
This is the step a lot of people miss. Sure it takes something of them and theirs being affected to finally wake up to what is going on, but not many then take it beyond that event and ask whether it's been happening beforehand. Far too many will follow the Gell-Mann amnesia effect and compartmentalise a problem which offers the leading cause too much leeway in escaping appropriate scrutiny.
Cheers bruv - I can still remember the scales starting to peel from my eyes that fateful day. It didn't happen overnight, but I eventually got myself better situated in life after leaving Libchurch™. Hope much the same holds for you and everyone else here (even Imp).
A happy birthday goes out to my fellow leaders of Gamergate. Wayback Machine archive is here for those having trouble with archive.is today.
So, what have you learned over the past decade which makes you think Gamergate is still a cause worthwhile enough to shack up with the other 3 or 4 people (Tops!) who fight the good fight?
Any favourite moments?
Post anything you want about Gamergate, the past ten years and the ten ahead :)
(police talking to crying woman) "What did they [gamers] do?"
(crying woman) "They... they leveled up!"
~~ DIRECTED BY DICK WOLF ~~
edit: For those out of the loop, it was a Law And Order SVU episode ("inspired by real events!" TM) about Gamergate-loving nerds gang-raping a woman in order to... gain high score points in a virtual game of some kind... Which totally for realzies happened... Apparently. And after the travesty of the episode, the screen goes black, and DICK WOLF just flashes across the screen (as Richard Wolf is apparently the director of that episode).
Early on when we sent mass mails to various advertisers so they pulled from gaming "journalist" websites.
Sadly reddit just implemented a rule of "you are not allowed to post the email of a person in a company" (which is obviously only applied against the correct targets) and killed that.
Killed it? That kept going off reddit for a long time, I didn't even recall they tried that until you mentioned it. Reddit was never the primary discussion zone for any of the real autists coming up with ideas and actually doing shit.
My local Five Guys had free peanuts that were pretty good, and the fries were decent. The burger was skippable. Thin and overcooked. I like meaty juicy burgers.
I've yet to have Five Guys. And it's a half hour drive at least to the nearest one. And I have no reason to be out that way. It sucks, I can't justify a trip over there.
Gamergate felt like a turning point in my life, just a landmark event where everything before and after it happened are distinctly different eras of my life. It's upsetting to look upon the world now while remembering how the world used to be.
He deserved really what he got. If you read his actual words and everything after, he was knowingly playing with fire and not willing to learn his lesson on a lot of mistakes. He even came on KIA itself and tried to softball on Zoe still.
I have sympathy for him, I've suffered my BPD girl misery too. But if you don't take that misery to heart and come out of it willing to swing the bat, then you are a naive fool destined to be taken advantage of.
I don't know. On one hand, being a guy - and knowing firsthand how powerful that drive to seek out a girl is - I'm incredibly sympathetic. I've been married for a while now, but I still remember what it was like, so - I get it. On the other hand, we guys are also blessed with greater faculties of reasoning, and (especially) logic, and - at some point - it's totally on you if you're not making use of it.
This d00d had obviously fallen in love with his idea of what this particular woman was, and not what/who she actually was. She had (painfully) demonstrated the difference(s) to him many - many - times. It's just so crazy that he had seen how big of a piece of shit she actually was (not just to him, but to everyone), how big of a liar and a hypocrite she was (again - not just to him, but to everyone), many, many times, but he still couldn't convince himself that she wasn't a genuinely bad person for that long? WTF? It's not like she was super attractive or anything, either. She's was a pudgy girl with somewhat big b00bs, and a disgusting amount of tats.. Looks aren't everything, but I mention this because sometimes a guy's stupidity can make "sense" when you take into account that the reason they're making so many stupid decisions with regards to a particular girl is because he's allowing himself to be manipulated by her looks. I don't see how that can be the case here. Anyway...
Guys really need to get this concept into their heads: you have this powerful drive to seek out romance with a girl. We all know it exists. We all spend giant amounts of time building up this concept of what a great partner would be like. We base this on everything we've experienced, all sort of media we've consumed, games we've played, etc. Then we run into this potential partner, convince ourselves that she's exactly that ideal, and then proceed to allow our "drive" to render all our logic/reason inert, and it renders us extremely vulnerable to being easily manipulated.
People need to work a lot harder to see the women they're dating as they actually are, and not as this ideal that they're imagining them to be. I know it's hard, but it's on us to do that, and to not allow yourself to be so easily manipulated - all over the ideal that we're imagining we're dealing with.
Edit: One more time, because it is still so incredible to me. How in the FUCK was this woman, wit these looks able to manipulate so many guys into bending to her will, by fucking them? Seriously???
Was that how she looked in 2014? Either way, she literally did it again, with Alec Holowka (probably butchered the name) committing suicide because of her false accusation
But before he emptied the contents of Quinn’s private life into the gaping maw of a bloodthirsty Internet, back before he instigated the most vicious online backlash against feminism in a generation, there was a first date.
It's easy to forget how insane the reaction was from so-called journalists. The whole article is full of over the top descriptions like that.
Sure some "Game developer" was working whatever mojo they had at their disposal to get recognition and finally be made relevant for existing - that happens all the time. The "Journalists" hold themselves to higher standards which are shown to exist through their actions and words.
Gamergate was never about LW, it was always only about the sheer hackery of industry shills lining their pockets and appetites to whoever was available to their appetites at any given moment and they were as defunct as any Atari 2600 game made from the mid-80's onwards.
That house of cards sure kept toppling all the way to the White House and across the globe as it has been shown that the entire Fourth Estate is full of shysters who have no clue as to what they are doing and that goes to even the most basic premise of self-protection.
Fake news as always been fake news but a slight retraction with a promise to be better in professional conduct in the future would have sated most people's complaints but - No - there's a ting brained ego in the way and this Internet thing can be contained. Just call them all the bad names and this will all pass.
Great job you frauds, you took both yellow journalism and Gonzo journalism and managed to make it into a methed up Muppet-urine trickle in a backslash of an imploding sewer across the entirety of the 'Social constructs' known as "Truth", "Accuracy", "Objectivity" and "Accountability" so you can get the slightly better ramen noodles and the odd holiday to South East Asia to pretend that you were ever important.
The rot has always existed, GG was a great red pill delivery system though by showing a micro-scale version of what the big leagues do. The pulitzer prize for example has always been a joke, the guy that covered up the Holodomor got one.
The image of honor and integrity these faggots ginned up for themselves over a century getting stripped from them in 2014, and then hammered again in 16 by Trump, has been highly entertaining for people that know how much of a bunch of faggots they really are.
I remember the gamers are dead articles. The massive comment graveyard preventing people from discussing it, much less about LW1. If they hadn't Streisand effect'd so hard, I'm sure people wouldn't have realized just how right GG was.
They will tell you how wrong you are when you show them the truth, and they'll do anything and say anything to stop you from being heard, almost like a group effort to remain relevant. So they can continue their incestuous nest of favor currying and throwing people under the bus who step out of line. Even the perpetually persecuted wikileaks founder Julian Assange said "So you noticed. Keep looking, it goes all the way to the top."
I always thought it was funny that Arthur Chu's article was a little late, as if he was like "yeah guys me too. I also hate [thing] please love and appreciate me because I too hate [thing]"
The timestamp on the big GAD pic is not visible, but I swear his was like an hour behind everyone else's, as if he threw it together with a malaprop headline 'it's dangerous to go alone take this' into 'it's dangerous to go alone why are gamers so mad' in that time and quickly posted it to get good boy points.
Yeah in a normal world, the slut and the five betas she banged would have all been fired and it would have honestly been the end of it. Instead, for some weird reason, the entire fucking world circled wagons around this feminist thot and called everyone misogynist. Almost like this ugly thot spreading her legs for reviews was just scratching the surface of the corruption in that industry.
Was amazing watching this woke cornered beast thrash around
Can you believe that we managed to make the once-fringe theory that the elites traffic and rape children for blackmail by intelligence agencies and who knows what else not only a proven fact, but mainstream?
Fuck, if I realized an hour earlier today was the anniversary, I would have got a burger and fries for dinner, but I already had pizza. Oh well, we don't have Five Guys here anyway.
What a fucking ride the last 10 years have been, I still remember when this shit originally came out and the Internet Aristocrat video that blew it up.
Amazing to think how this little document led to SO many breaking conditioning that most Western media is struggling for relevancy.
wasn't really part of gamergate back in the day, pretty much disregarded like most people as some nonsense kerfuffle and moved on with my life.
started paying attention to this kinda stuff after the dreadful ghostbusters remake trailer dropped. Let's just say my eyes were opened and leave it at that...
I read the zoe post later, but after rereading it, I'm trying to decide if this chick is a straight up psychopath or if she has BPD (think amber heard for a more recent example...)
Hope he's doing well. I made a small contribution to his legal fees back in the day. It's been a rollercoaster for the last 10 years and still only feels like we're on another chain lift before the next drop.
Towards the end, Literally Who told him something that made him change his mind about not giving her another chance. He doesn't say what it was to protect her privacy or whatever.
I'm guessing she lied about being sexually assaulted or something like that?
It makes me wonder if Eron learned his lesson, because it was clear he didn't right after the lawsuit ended. He just wanted to go back to being a no-name dev and stick his head in the sand from the chaos around him. Even expressed retarded left wing views like being pro-BLM.
If he's still shilling for the left even to this day we will know that there's a generation of broken men like him that vote Democrat that has to be addressed one way or another (and no, not THAT way folks, let's not get too glowie here).
We need an example for them to look up to. It's not me as I'm nobody to emulate but there were plenty I looked up to and that helped give me something to strive towards.
It will happen. It might just be that the culture they come from is not as pleasant towards the wahmen folks as the one said wahmen killed off.
Never thought I'd be here ten years later, but the horrors persist and so do I.
Here's to another ten.
What's crazy is the real horror probably hasn't even hit yet
Piss Earth 2025.
I don't think the powers that be will be able to hold this thing together for another 10 years.
I don't think they plan ta. ww3 kill off a bunch set up China has the new world empire and keep pillaging us hard...
China has had so many internal issues for CENTURIES that I doubt that was the plan or if it was they were little more than a shell company

I hope ya'll are right place is a shithole its people some of the worst used in the world and we're catching up fast...
China is simply not meant to be a conquering nation. They built the most powerful navy in the world in the 1400s, well before Columbus, then they just sort of stopped using it for no good reason.
Jewbook says 66.6% (kek) of mankind will be wiped out in minutes at some point. Two thirds is the figure the bible gives.

GG2: SBI Boogaloo earlier this year when more and more people started to realise GG was right all along.

It could be worse~
At least you're not Anthony Burch

I'm sure all of Hollywood thanks him for his involvement with the Borderland series and the huge success that has had at the box office this year :)
Thanks now that'll be stuck in my head for a week

Not a favorite moment, but a favorite piece of media: The Stair Muffin

All I wanted to do was move stair muffins.

Save yourself the trouble and make some burgers at home. Five Guys is severely overrated. Home cooking is where it's at.
Most fast food is overrated. They build for quantity, not quality.
Gamergate felt like a turning point in my life, just a landmark event where everything before and after it happened are distinctly different eras of my life. It's upsetting to look upon the world now while remembering how the world used to be.
This drama was new to me, and that man clearly deserved better.
He deserved really what he got. If you read his actual words and everything after, he was knowingly playing with fire and not willing to learn his lesson on a lot of mistakes. He even came on KIA itself and tried to softball on Zoe still.

It's a learning when to walk away maturity. It's important in life all around.
I agree, and that's why I offer him little sympathy. He clearly learned nothing and was willing to victimize himself again to avoid doing so.

The pic at the Bottom is from a Boston Magazine article dated April 2015.

My grandma said it best. There's a difference in believing, and wanting to believe. Some people take kindness for weakness.
The courts also silenced Gjoni with wrongful restraining orders. https://archive.ph/cL6oj
Some in 4chan think it was all a setup to censor there that got out of control.
