China has had so many internal issues for CENTURIES that I doubt that was the plan or if it was they were little more than a shell company
Think the real plan was to diminish US hegemony and replace it with international organisations like the UN, EU, WHO, IMF etc and the pandemic was a test run for it.
It failed but they're still trying to persue the plan anyway which is why this year SO much has broken down because they won't acknowledge they don't have the resources to continue so I think we're ending up at having NO global power, maybe several regional powers and even corporations controlling some regions.
China is simply not meant to be a conquering nation. They built the most powerful navy in the world in the 1400s, well before Columbus, then they just sort of stopped using it for no good reason.
