Tulsi is still a leftist on most issues. This pick would make a lot of sense given that Trump is pathologically unable to choose good people for his administration. If he picks her, she’ll be an awful combination of Pence, Barrett and Milley.

If it’s anything like Trump’s other hires :

Whoever kissed his ass 10 minutes before he makes the decision.

Was there any other method he used?

Don't forget about when his son in law and apostate daughter whispered bad advice in his ears.

Honestly that wasn't how he picked people. It was much more about relying on recommendations from NeoCons.

The things working in her favour is:

  1. She torched Kamala last time effectively killing her presidential run in one monologue

  2. The establishment dems ran a cancellation campaign against her to stop HER presidential run

I doubt she'll be VP but maybe gets a position in veteran affairs as she's been more on that side than any of the other dems.

So many people would tune in for Tulsi Kamala 2.

Harris would get fucking destroyed probably worse than Joe Biden just did.

Cant wait to see how she ruins the administration when she inevitably gets into power.

If he's ruthless about winning, and wants to curbstomp Joe, he will pick her.

However the margin is so large he can win with another pick that will be a stronger America Only choice.

As soon as he makes the pick.

Joe drops out.

Seems pretty obvious what they're up to here.

Just say no to women.

There are no conservative women. They all betray you the second they think the next branch above you is within reach.

I think Ben Carson actually still has a high chance.

JD Vance is still an option, and I'd love it, but I think they'd rather keep him in the Senate, and then bring in Moreno on top of that.

So long as MIKE THE LIVING CUCK DEWINE doesn't intentionally try to kill any chance at winning and starts stumping for Sharrod Brown.

You never know with DeWine. Sometimes he's actually so retarded, you'd think he's more malicious than he actually is.

I called Trump picking a female vp the second Kennedy did the same. They will play optics for people who hate them long before acknowledging their base.

I mean, pandering to appeal to different demographics is kind of the strategy with VP choices anymore.

No women and no browns. I'll never support any of them in my life again. It would be the first time I seriously hesitated to vote for him.

I don't really like Tulsi, but I'm also not going to doompost a ton if she does get tapped. Are there realistically any good choices that aren't a pipe dream?

Tulsi is an absolute master at manipulating social media and keeping people talking about her despite doing absolutely nothing of relevance. IMO, it's unlikely she's Trump's pick, but she'll milk the hell out of the speculation regardless.

This would be a pretty disappointing swerve into the swamp with this uniparty pick. And it would be another in a long (long) line of horrible hiring decisions he's made.

It's going to be Déjà vu all over again.

Given how desperate people can get for a "TRUMP SCOOP" I wouldn't be surprised if he's feeding different info to different internal groups.

Megan Kelly is fairly anti-Trump. She's basically "Trump Skeptic". Her strongest anti-establishment position is being aggressive against transgenderism from a "women's rights/safety" perspective.

However, Megan Kelly also very explicitly said that Nicki Haley was going to be the Vice Presidential pick for Donald Trump. She said that "Trump supporters were going to be very sad about it, but it's true, and you'll vote for her anyway."

/pol/ memes aside abortion is the lowest polling conservative platform which is why the national ban was removed from the agenda.

This is dead wrong. Trump has never been a fan of an abortion ban, and an abortion ban would be explicitly unconstitutional thanks to the ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade in the first place.

Federal Abortion Ban proponents are from one of two camps:

  • Genuine religious zealots who think Arizona's 1886 law is just fine and don't realize just how far they have to go to actually win the culture war on this issue.

  • Establishment Faux-Evangelo-Con politicians who are desperately trying to sink the Republican party in this election the way the tories intentionally lost last week.

Any federal abortion ban is explicitly unconstitutional and unpopular, and the entire effort solely exists to feed into the Democratic strategy of making the entire election about abortion. Abortion is a topic that the right have already lost a nation-wide 'vibe-check' on which is why OHIO passed a constitutional amendment that actually makes it an abortion-on-demand state. Montana and Kansas have taken massive pro-abortion blows as well because of this stupidity.

I think anon is over-thinking this.

I mean ultimate pick in that category would be Alex Jones.

The Deep State would be TERRIFIED having him with veto power over their budgets and actions plus ability to declassify EVERYTHING.

permalink parent save report block reply

Remember this board doesn't represent most voters. Picking Alex Jones would be political suicide

Alex Jones as VP

Then I think the... Speaker of the House would also need to be assassination insurance? And insurances all the way down the chain of command.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 19 ▼
– fauxgnaws 19 points 1 year ago +19 / -0

Tulsi brings fortification insurance. MAGA doesn't trust her, but the landside would be so great that the steal would be completely unbelievable and untenable.

Also I've watched enough Tulsi long-form interviews to believe that she would actually try to carry on Trump's agenda out of duty. Could be a psy-op, but it really seems that way.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 16 ▼
– ModsAreAIDS 16 points 1 year ago +16 / -0

If Trump picks Tulsi, this MAGA voter will be leaving the top of the ticket blank. It wouldn't be a landslide. It would cost him the election. Fuck Tulsi.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 19 ▼
– fauxgnaws 19 points 1 year ago +19 / -0

To believe it would cost Trump you'd have to believe there are more petulant whiners like you than centrists that just need a little extra reason to vote Trump.

What a great message to send re MAGA: chock full of pouty crybabies dead set on cutting off their nose to spite their face.

With friends like these...

If Trump or any other Republican insists on sticking with the status quo of ignoring the base while seeking acceptance from the left, then they can get their votes from the left. That strategy does not, and never will work.

If he wants my vote, then he will pick a running mate that represents my interests. I have zero interest in ever voting for a flip flopping, gun grabbing cunt like Tulsi. If this makes you angry, I don't give a single fuck.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 13 ▼
– fauxgnaws 13 points 1 year ago +13 / -0

If you honestly feel there's more Trump guys who would vote for Biden to protest Tulsi as VP it doesn't make me angry, it makes me pity you having such a self-defeating myopic view of politics.

I get it that if you yourself can't have 100% of what you want you'll take your ball(ot) and go home rather than get 80%. I just think that's sad and pathetic.

I'm not a liberal, so this attempt to shame me into line is a waste of your time. The GOP can either earn my vote by representing my interests, or they can get fucked. I'm done voting for the lesser of two evils. I'm done voting for corrupt, controlled opposition who spend their entire terms catering to liberals. I would rather go full accelerationist and burn it all down.

Or they could do like they did after the Nixon/Agnew landslide and invent a scandal to force the vp out, appoint an establishment replacement, then go after the president.

To be fair, Tulsi is Anti-Clinton. This makes her fairly close to an untouchable in the Democrats and the Deep State. Especially if it turns out those Maui Fires are worse than claimed.
