Megan Kelly is fairly anti-Trump. She's basically "Trump Skeptic". Her strongest anti-establishment position is being aggressive against transgenderism from a "women's rights/safety" perspective.
However, Megan Kelly also very explicitly said that Nicki Haley was going to be the Vice Presidential pick for Donald Trump. She said that "Trump supporters were going to be very sad about it, but it's true, and you'll vote for her anyway."
This is dead wrong. Trump has never been a fan of an abortion ban, and an abortion ban would be explicitly unconstitutional thanks to the ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade in the first place.
Federal Abortion Ban proponents are from one of two camps:
Genuine religious zealots who think Arizona's 1886 law is just fine and don't realize just how far they have to go to actually win the culture war on this issue.
Establishment Faux-Evangelo-Con politicians who are desperately trying to sink the Republican party in this election the way the tories intentionally lost last week.
Any federal abortion ban is explicitly unconstitutional and unpopular, and the entire effort solely exists to feed into the Democratic strategy of making the entire election about abortion. Abortion is a topic that the right have already lost a nation-wide 'vibe-check' on which is why OHIO passed a constitutional amendment that actually makes it an abortion-on-demand state. Montana and Kansas have taken massive pro-abortion blows as well because of this stupidity.
I think anon is over-thinking this.
