Yeah but that was just a tease than anything, I mean at least 3/4 of the game as Helgahst, with how the Vektans and ISA are like now, the grey zone that's always existed has gotten bigger that you can easily place them as the underdog protagonists.
Unironically despite the get-up, the Helgahst have an interesting backstory as it was written by a team from the Netherlands that knew there was more to WW2 than just 'Germany Evil'
They colonised Vekta and made money off the resources of Helgan, when they wanted independence from Earth and the ISA by extention, the ISA attacked resulting in the first intergalactic War that the Helgahst lost and were forced off Vekta to Helgan which was inhospitable to human life. They were expected not to cope and submit to the ISA, instead they mutated due to the planets ecosystem and created the Helgahst.
There's more but in the first game and following titles, there's a lot of emphasis that the bad blood caused by the first War is the reason why Helgahst consider victory at ANY COST a legitimate action.

If this gains any traction at all, and I doubt it'll get much, it'll be at best, someone's third game that they play now and then when their main game is down for maintenance, or they can't find a match fast enough for their liking. But knowing game publishers, it'll be rife with all the bullshit that does not respect player time, thinking that this is your main game and you play nothing else.
It also appears to be rife with people on the dev team that do not want the normal gaming player base, so fuck 'em.
