Eisenhower backstabbed McCarthy, signed the Civil Rights Act and the Refugee Relief Act, destabilized the middle east for Israel, and expanded Social(ist) Security.

No amount of upvotes will change the fact that every cell in your body has a Y chromosome and that you are physiologically male and always have been since the day you were born. No amount of Instagram followers will change the fact that eating more calories than you burn will make you fat. No amount of retweets will change the fact that you cannot radically restructure society and expect it to work the way you want it to, solely because you want it to, whether that be abolishing the police or gutting your industry in the name of fighting climate change.
Second, the lies the progressives perpetuate are horrible. They want to believe that the world is fundamentally and irredeemably racist. They want to believe that police officers are gunning down dozens of unarmed black men every day and getting away with it. They want to believe that covid kills or permanently debilitates everyone who catches it. They want to believe climate change will kill billions of people over the next decade. They want to believe that we are perpetually minutes away from roving gangs of Nazis dragging black and queer kids out of their homes in broad daylight and violently raping and/or murdering them in the streets while no one says anything. They want to believe that all of this injustice, humiliation, and violence isn't just inevitable, it's irresistible. You are forever doomed to lose at life because of your identity and/or you are complicit in perpetuating this engine of destruction.
But what is really fascinating is that when presented with evidence that all of the above isn't true, they don't feel relief, they get defensive and angry. When they are given apologies, they don't accept them. When someone else points out the contradictions and faulty logic, they cover their ears and double down. Every time progressives get a reality check, they don't realize that what they have been doing is foolish and doomed to fail for obvious reasons of the laws of physics, biology, economics, or human nature. They double down, and they double down hard, because their self-esteem is on the line.

I actually feel like they don't realize they're lying. Leftists learn a "value system" that at its core is built on the foundation of lies; however, leftists don't think this (or know this). They believe the core of their moral values are in fact true.
What ends up happening is something in reality will clearly show that the value system of a leftist is false; however, in order to accept this conclusion the leftists would therefore have to challenge his foundational core value-system as a whole which can be daunting and very uncomfortable for people. Therefore, instead of challenging their beliefs when new information is given to them which would normally force people to have to accept a different perspective, they run all sorts of mental gymnastics to avoid having to accept that their value-system is based on false notions. In some cases, they "outright lie" but in their minds they aren't lying. In the leftist's mind, they are being true to their moral value system which they believe is true and although they are saying a lie, in their mind it is believed to be the truth because of these core foundational moral values being false to begin with but accepted as true.
