Like not just " i have misguided opinions" or "im stretching the truth" kind of lies, but the straight up lie where they KNOW they are lying and where they tell you "the square you are seeing is a triangle" kind of lie. I've seen some times over the years before where they lie so blatantly like this but this Yasuke discourse takes the cake with how much they are lying right now.

I lived and worked in Portland for a couple years. I can say with 100% certainty and confidence that they absolutely do this. I have heard it myself. Nothing in my life has been as bizarre as realizing that I was listening to someone who thought everyone in the room 100% agreed with him going on a tirade about what "fascists" deserve.
My (actual) boomer mom's friend in PA talked about wanting to "Bonanza" the whole American south to "fix things." I will never forget who it is I have to contend with.
The midwest is starting to get this way on the other end of the scale. "Democrat hunting season" is a meme amongst the rural folk here, but more and more over the last 2-3 years I've noticed many of them have stopped smiling when they say it.
