He's right. A conference that features a stripper of any sort is not a Christian conference, no matter what they choose to call it.

Since it's a men's conference at least a female stripper wouldn't have promoted faggotry, even if it would have been a problem for other reasons.

More like a counterfeit Christian conference...or a feel-good hot-tub Christianity conference. Or a meetup of the synagogue of Satan.

He's right, they wouldn't allow a female entertainer to do that, a man doing it is still the same sin. It's sad that being chaste is somehow not considered Christian now.

The problem is that the churchs are businesses, and they don't want to alienate ran through whores and single mothers looking for a tradcuck simp to pay their bills.

Chastity has become more taboo these days than gay stuff was 100 years ago. Apparently, there should never be any hindrance to (wo)man's desires and satisfaction.

It’s because they’ve been making their bed with the faggots and so we see in real time the goalposts of Christianity moving further away towards degeneracy

Matthew 18!

Oh that's well and fine, but the church was already a witness against you and everybody was offended - you subjected the whole church to a male stripper performance. Pastor Mark wasn't throwing him under the bus either... he just had reservations against hiring a male stripper for a church service, just like everyone else who was forced to see that.

John just ran up and went OY VEY! I'VE BEEN FOUND OUT!

Treat him like a pagan or a taxcollector.

Matthew 18

"18 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven? 2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them, 3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven. 5 And whoso shall receive one such little child in my name receiveth me. 6 But whoso shall offend one of these little ones which believe in me, it were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and that he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe unto the world because of offences! for it must needs be that offences come; but woe to that man by whom the offence cometh!"

Etcetera, Etcetera.

I'm confused. Did the other guy mean a different verse? Because I don't know what this has to do with anything.

Dealing With Sin in the Church

15 “If your brother or sister[b] sins,[c] go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over. 16 But if they will not listen, take one or two others along, so that ‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’[d] 17 If they still refuse to listen, tell it to the church; and if they refuse to listen even to the church, treat them as you would a pagan or a tax collector.

18 “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be[e] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[f] loosed in heaven.

19 “Again, truly I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything they ask for, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three gather in my name, there am I with them.”

Ok I can see that now. I got tired of reading it after the first half. That's why pastors make the big bucks.

Depending on your church, you hear that one a lot.

It's the "don't air the dirty laundry" clause that lets them keep it on the down low when pastors have affairs or other corruption gets noticed.

Matthew 18 is one of the most abused verses and yeah, it is used that way often unfortunately because people don't read and hold abusers accountable.

"if your brother sins against you". This scripture is to deal with personal issues, like if another christian has sinned against you, then you should follow Matthew 18. It is definitely not about public teachings. Public teachings are rebuked all the time publicly in scripture and to say its wrong is just retarded.

An easy example, and there are a lot more than this, is in Galatians Paul rebukes Peter publicly, openly, in front of everyone for his behavior (Galatians 2 ish I think?). Because he cares about the impact his bad behavior has on the church as a whole.

Edit: As long as your heart is love for God and love for others, then as a Christian you should go for it, publicly rebuke away.

The left hates Mark Driscoll. “Christianity Today” had a whole podcast series dedicated to hating on his church Mars Hill.

90% of Christianity is white slave mentality Christianity these days.

"Turn the other cheek" and "To the least of these..." heavily reenforced without context.

Even if you aren't your synod likely is.

What's a "Stronger Men's" conference doing having a male stripper?

People need to understand how ridiculous the double standards are regarding men's sexuality in modernity.

At my work, there's a poster in the lunch room advertising famous male strippers coming to town for a show. The girls at my work have talked about male stripper performances in the morning meeting.

Can you imagine if guys posted advertisements for female strippers in the lunch room and talked about going to the strip club at morning meetings? For sure a woman would report to HR that it makes her uncomfortable.

This is because our society actually oppresses male sexuality while enabling female sexuality. That's why at a conference like this "Christian" conference you can have a male stripper because all the women think it's cool, harmless, just a little fun because women's sexuality isn't vilified like men's sexuality. Now, bring a female stripper and the women would have a fit because men's sexuality (men being attracted to hot women) is bad from these women's perspective. And the Christian simps are just as bad in enabling this.

I mean, it was pretty well known over a decade ago that women were absolutely going to movies like 50 Shades and Magic Mike as pure pornography and were open about it entirely to everyone.

They brought their families to it, they discussed it openly, they included underaged girls in their parties and discussions about it. It was treated as a wacky fun time.

Even Twilight a few years earlier had 40+ year old women openly lusting over teenaged boys.

In Chapel in high school one time they brought in these performers who did stuff like break bricks with their heads and rip phone books in half "for Christ". They kept their clothes on, though.

Even if this conference had replaced the stripper with the brick-breakers, I think an even better use of the conference's time would be (eg.) telling young men to be wary of dating/marrying "reformed" OF whores.

The fact they have any sort of people dancing on stage at all tells me the conference organizers don't understand how late the hour is.

So… the pastor that condemned practicing Yoga as not Christian puts a male stripper up on stage - presumably as a show of acts of strength and uh… flexibility?!

I’m presuming the kid is a born again Christian and that’s why he was given prominence?

But then you should NEVER cite scripture as an invective. Real Christians would know that, let alone “Christian leaders”

“By their acts shall you know them”

The pastor who called it out, Mark Driscoll, is the one who is against yoga. I have no idea who Lindell is, but he's the one who put on this show as far as I know.
