The 19% who can fool a personality disorder test are the really dangerous ones.

News flash!: mentally ill people can suffer from several mental issues than just the one!

I'm not really dismissing the study that much, but it's been known for centuries that the method you treat a health issue can make a situation worse than better. 'Gender affirming care' being more dangerous than those drug advertisements that list off side affects for curing a small issue.

Its also pretty obvious to anyone with a brain that tranny isn't a starting point, its a symptom. No one just becomes a tranny with a healthy functional brain and its the trooning that makes them develop comorbidities. They are always broken first, and then the grooming and broken society offer them an insane idea that only a broken retard would consider a good idea.

There is a reason why literally all of them seem to have autism, which studies conducted by idiots will often misattribute as a personality disorder.

Narcissistic PD is especially regularly given priority to autism or other basic ass social dysfunctions, simply because it makes for a much more catching title to sell you what you already want to think.

In this case, tranny bad so Narcissism makes them sound bad so thereby no one questions it.

Nah, most of them really do have NPD. That’s why they demand everyone else participate in their delusion. If they didn’t have NPD, they could simply exist as trannies without being compelled to change society that we all have to worship them.

That’s why they demand everyone else participate in their delusion

This sentence also applies to people with heavy autism and OCD, among a bunch of other mental illnesses. Heck what you just described and their common stereotype sounds closer to Histrionic Personality Disorder.

But NPD makes them sound like worse, so its the one people want to ascribe to them, while OCD and autism doesn't so its not considered. And Histrionic requires knowing things beyond the surface level memes that a Youtuber or talking head taught you.

I don't particular care which one they actually have because they are a problem regardless and have lost any right to sympathy, but everyone should always be careful when "studies" come out that confirm what you want to hear. It doesn't magically go from "lol soft science, woke pozzed field" to "legit study, irrefutable" when it confirms to your beliefs.

In what way do people with heavy autism or OCD demand others participate in delusion? This isn't something that I've observed. Depending on their exact circumstances they may ask for allowances to be made, but that isn't nearly as common as transgenders demanding capitulation to their demented rules, and there's no delusion involved.

One of the most common forms of OCD is "if I don't open the door 17 times my uncle will die." Which is both a delusion and a narcissistic "I'm the center of the universe" belief. And if you try to prevent them from doing that, they will lose their shit and panic. They aren't demanding you participate, but you must allow them to perform their ritual which is a demand to at least enable.

They may be aware of it being delusional, but most trannies are in fact aware of their delusions being false too and are deeply trying to deny it with "validation bombs."

And many untreated autists are rarely able to conceptualize that the world isn't a logical place full of rules and numbers and patterns, which is why they struggle to navigate the social sphere. Those who can adapt do, but those who don't (let's say the stereotypical "incel") are often losing their mind because the world won't conform to what they believe is the most logical, graspable form.

Which is why the autism to tranny pipeline is so common. Because they see "women have it easy" and "women make people horny" and think "therefore is I become woman, it'll be easier and I'll make them horny." Among other delusional beliefs.

I won't stand on it being a complete match, but its a heck of a better one than "nope, its all NPD. A dude trying to copy Jordan Peterson taught me that word after he learned it on r/raisedbynarcissists!"

Eh, there's still a big difference between an irrational belief that an individual feels they have to adhere to, and an irrational belief that an individual forces everyone else to adhere to. That's where the narcissism comes from. You could say there's a bit of egocentrism in someone thinking that their irrational rituals would affect their uncle's health, but it's not narcissism as its understood and defined. It's more of an irrational anxiety and detachment from reality. There's definitely delusion involved in all cases though.

I can see where you're coming from, and thank you for explaining your perspective, but I just don't agree I suppose.

Its fine if you don't, because I also don't think it is really the answer most times.

I simply don't agree with people picking the "evilest, worst sounding" personality disorder that a study in Iran, a country you'd never trust to begin with, and running with it as gospel.

So my entire point was less that I had the answer and more "don't trust studies wholesale because they say what you want them to say."

I think an important subtext is that personality disorders are essentially untreatable compared to other garden variety mental illness.

And on top of that, even if you did have a treatment to offer, people with PDs are in denial and would never take it.

I can't really fault them for that one. If you were diagnosed as "mentally ill" by modern medicine, would you want them fucking with your brain?

Besides all the "The Science" and "Big Pharma" memes, even Psychiatry deems people with Personality Disorders irredeemable.

They ironically don't have a pill for it.

The Personality Disorder diagnosis is essentially an institutional label for sociopaths.

The most shocking part of this is that they were actually willing to do the study. Of course this will be spun as everyone else’s fault for not accepting the narcissistic troons

If you've ever argued with an actual troon, the number one response is always that they kill themselves because of BIGOTS LIKE YOU.

Makes perfect sense. People who kill themselves because I exist are the epitome of mental health.

Conclusion: The findings of this study revealed that the prevalence of personality disorders was higher among the participants, and the most frequent personality disorder was narcissistic personality disorder (57.1%), and borderline personality disorder was less common among the studied patients.

Maybe it's time to ask why that is. Spoiler alert: They troon out because of those personality disorders, particularly NPD. There's no greater source of narcissistic supply than being a troon. If the societal response to troonery was "Get back in the closet you faggot, and if I see you within 100 yards of a child you won't live to tell the tale." the number of troons would decrease by 57.1%.

Not to rain on the parade, but this is in Iran.

Probably slightly more crazy than in places that encourage trans.

Objectively speaking, Schizophrenics would also typically respond better in an affirmative environment, but that doesn’t magically get rid of the disease

What I mean is that over here trans get benefits from it, like affirmative action, attention, encouragement (they perceive these as benefits). There's tons of kids that do it just because they're lonely or peer pressure.

Peer pressure isn't really a big mental disorder, that's just kind of how kids have always been.

I would think in Iran, but certainly in Russia, the weirdos don't have that kind of attraction or foothold that pulls in kids that just have normal teen angst. They're not doing it to fit in or their friends are, they're full-on psychos.

While I don't necessarily endorse that it is 'demonic possession', basically any behavior that is regarded as negative is labeled as a 'mental illness'. With the body, you can easily tell what is health and not, but for a mind, there is much more of a subjective element

In this case however, it's hard to argue that cutting off your genitals is actually adaptive.

I am slightly... confused, I guess.

I read the article, and their methodology seems sound. They used recognized and peer-reviewed clinical assessment tools. Their sample is solid, recruiting from patients who were already linked with the hospital seeking the old chop and swap.

But... I have the same question as to how they recruited people from this particular population to submit to the research. And I have bigger questions about how this article came out of the University of Tehran of all places.

I guess I assumed that the social contagion hadn't reached Iran, or that they wouldn't be tolerant of it. Even if they are, a sample size of 70 seems high for Iran.

I also have lingering questions about bias in the research. Again, based on what little I know about Iran I assume this kind of thing isn't tolerated (and the journal of publication has Islam in the title...). I think it is reasonable to question whether there might have been an incentive to conclude mass personality disorder comorbidity in transgenders.

I like the conclusion as much as anyone here, but I will always advocate for good, solid, verifiable data. Given other data I have seen suggesting a high prevalence of autism among the population, and these results contradict/don't address that, I regretfully have to hit this one with a DOUBT.

cross-sex hormones

I will never stop being perplexed at the fact that the supposed treatment for gender dysphoria is to give someone hormones for the sex they claim to feel like, rather than more of the correct hormones.

Here's a more recent review.

Evaluation of personality disorders in patients with Gender Identity Disorder (GID): An update

Introduction: Gender dysphoria (GD) could cause various mental illnesses, but its main cause is unclear. GD patients also suffer from different personality disorders that increase the risk of side effects among them. The present review study is aimed to investigate the most recent studies on comorbid personality disorders in patients with GD.

Materials and Methods: Online databases were searched using related keywords for collecting any related articles. After precise reviewing the abstract of all collected articles, those with more appropriate content were included in our study.

Findings: The prevalence rate of personality disorders in GD patients has been reported to be from 15% to 80% by different studies. In line with the data from previous studies, it was revealed that borderline personality disorder is one of the most prevalent disorders among GD patients. Available comorbid personality disorders cause a wide range of side effects on the normal function of patients.

Conclusion: The majority of studies carried out on the comorbidity of personality disorders have revealed that the possibility of personality disorders in GD patients is high. Anyway, further studies are required to understand the exact effect of psychological care on personality disorders in these patients.
