Nothing new, there was a study done that showed 80% of black people would vote not guilty if the perpetrator was black, even if they believed they were guilty.

Larry Elder retried the case with the same jury and he couldn’t have made it any clearer that he was guilty but they still voted not guilty. It was a mock trial of course. At the time I wanted him to be innocent but when you look at the evidence at the very least he was there and paid someone or he had help. Shouldn’t have used Furhman because defense made it all about him. Plenty of other evidence.

Yeah, to be honest this is a very old issue.

That being said, the LAPD really did shit the case. If OJ didn't do it, he knows who did, and it was probably his son.

His son had a rage disorder where if he wasn't on medicine the smallest offense could trigger explosive, totally out of proportion violence. From memory, apparently he wasn't taking the drugs at the time because they zonked him out, Ron and Nicole had slighted him by refusing an invitation or something like that, and his whereabouts were unaccounted for during the murder window.

Not enough evidence to believe his son did do it, but enough to believe he could have. You'd have to also believe OJ would cover for his son, would have to explain the boots and the gloves, and so on. So still 99% OJ did it.

I found this interesting as maybe the first time I saw the media actively cover up information to push their beliefs. They finally showed an interview with his medicated son and said look at this calm normal dude he couldn't possible kill anyone #conspiracytheory and suppressed the true story about his son's problems and whereabouts.

Those drugs probably zonked him out because he doesn't have a real mental illness, and is instead a raving lunatic.

Rage Addiction and Conduct Disorders are pretty standard mental illnesses. They are also ones that the only real cure for is either incredibly difficult struggles to change over years of therapy or being literally lobotomized on meds (this is the option most take).

Unless you want to argue that they are so common among a certain demographic that they cease to be mental illness and are just the norm. Which might be a tree to bark on.

I'm not familiar with 'conduct disorders'. But, rage addiction sounds like an addiction to me. So I don't think of that as a mental illness.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Adamrises 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

Conduct Disorder is basically used as a generalized diagnosis for children who have an extreme need to act up. Basically just misbehaving to a point where its beyond normal and not entirely related to poor environment, and quickly leading to them committing acts of legitimate violence and crime. Can range from just a little shithead to an outright monster.

In adults its usually called Oppositional Defiant Disorder, which is basically the same thing but a little less openly violent and criminal and usually more passive aggressive and snotty. Probably not relevant in this case, but I don't know the kid specifically in this case.

Also addiction is one of the most cornerstone mental illnesses possible. Because every addiction is either a conditioned response (all mental) that is maladaptive or a chemical issue. Which if we throw out mental illnesses that are chemically based, then bipolar and depression and a lot of others will be thrown out too.

Which again, I'm not opposed to that idea but its a pretty big discussion.

I think I'd heard maybe once before that OJ's son might have committed the murders. Funny enough, if there is enough evidence to reasonably suggest his son did it, then a "Not Guilty" verdict would be legally correct (reasonable doubt. Though he'd certainly still be guilty of other crimes if he had knowledge that his son murdered two people and then covered it up.)

– fauxgnaws 1 point 2 years ago +1 / -0

OJ would be an accessory after the fact which I think would also be the same murder charge.

If you're an accessory during the crime they you get charged also with murder, but not sure about just covering it up.

They burned some restaurent while rioting over the shooting of a black criminal on realease from jail "for covid" who was past-out in the drive-through lane, blocking everyone, drunk-driving behind the wheel, and when woken up and interogated by cops, got violent, grabbed the cops' tazer gun, shot at the cops while running, and the cops shot him down in response.

They won't find a single black violent criminal they don't want to avenge as long as there are White people to blame. Scott Adams is right.

The lying press bears alot of the blame, falsely-framing it as "racist cop killing an innocent black man for the crime of falling asleep in his car in a parking lot". Every aspect of the media framing was a lie.

These people aren't human beings in a philosophical sense. They are barely sentient walking jars of conditioned responses. They do not think terribly hard, merely responding to external stimuli rather than pondering anything.

That was the mostly peaceful Wendy's takeover in Atlanta. They let them occupy the restaurant they burned down until somebody shot a child in a parking lot at or near the "protest." People are also used to the cops defending their own, but in this case the woke mayor had appointed a woke police chief, too. So the first thing they did was throw the cop under the bus, and then that lesbian bitch they made police chief got so much heat from the actual blue that she was forced out.

By the time Floyd ODd on camera, the establishment has the system perfected. They can basically activate the feral NPC masses within hours using government and coordinated media outlets pushing the race baiting.

Not once did anyone push for civil and order. It was purely validating the violence and pretending it was "mostly peaceful"

As someone who was neck-deep in a progressive leftist bubble at the time, I can confidently tell you that much of America was naively baffled by the verdict. A lot of “good colorblind whites” chalked it up to the privilege of wealth, class, fame, etc. They couldn’t fathom that non-whites were not observing the identity politics ceasefire and were, in fact, consolidating their advocacy and activism along purely ethnic/racial lines. For those who could not view the world through the prism of honest racial politics, the OJ verdict made no sense whatsoever.

If they're going to exploit the whole "Jury of your peers" for the purposes of jury nullification then hwyte people should as well.

I hope Daniel Penny's lawyers are smart enough to see that.

If you can get any white people on a jury. IIRC Penny isn't even from NY which is why he is white. A jury in NYC ain't gonna be largely white. I think they will try to get the venue moved, but I don't know if it's going to work.

While, in theory, a single refusing juror can hang a jury, that's not the same as an acquittal in a case like this. They also have to be pretty tough to stand up from a lot of threats from a judge and prosecutor. Those are all false threats, but you have to know that. They will tell you that it's illegal to use your own judgement and that you have to explain yourself and negotiate the facts with the other jurors. You don't, actually. But they try to not let people on juries who know that.

Nobody ever calls me for jury duty. I can play dumb really well, and then I would just get in there and refuse to convict for any crimes I think are bullshit or any people I think are innocent.

Blacks are the superior race in this respect.

They always publicly support their tribe against other tribes regardless of the circumstances and, most importantly, irrespective of any other abstract considerations such as "honor" and "integrity".

It's not superior behavior at all. These violent criminals they refuse to convict mostly target other nogs, not the white devil. Having them locked up would help black communities the most - but moat of them are incapable of thinking that far ahead.

Blacks do not view themselves as part of the traditional American nation. They see themselves as a parallel nation existing within America’s borders. As such, their internal disputes are a “domestic” matter that doesn’t involve the law enforcement institutions of a “hostile foreign power”.

This is all just theater, of course. Because black demographics are more violent and more criminal literally everywhere on the planet.

▲ 7 ▼
– when_we_win_remember 7 points 2 years ago +7 / -0

That doesn't really make sense with them wanting to be around white people.

They say "nobody wants to be in the ghetto."

But if you're going to be a parallel nation, you should want to live with all blacks.

The courts are one place where AI could actually be useful. Right now we have a system where the prosecution prunes and curates evidence to tell a story, the defense does the same, and a group of 12 people, none of who can truly be impartial because they're human, pick which story they like better.

In less than 100 years I could see it being technically possible to simply dump all the available evidence into a computer, and it would automatically exclude things that were inadmissible, analyze what remained, and give a probability that the person was guilty.

The use of AI creates a whole new set of concerns, but I can't see how that can be any worse than a system where a juror can flatly admit to something like this and nothing can be done about it.

Well, to be clear, there were accusations of romantic entanglement. Made all that much odder by the fact that they were divorced. Actually, I think the most official version we have that has OJ guilty -- the prosecutor's theory -- is that OJ was jealous of his ex-wife's new bf. That is the only motive we have.

Was he messed up in the head, yeah thanks to both his upbringing by his father and the industry.

Was he a pedo? All evidence points to no because the way they 'got him' was thanks to the stupid way Californian legal system works, the civil court case was before the criminal case.

Him and his lawyers settled the civil case without disclosing ANY defence so when the criminal case came up, the prosecution was blindsided by all the receipts he had to show he wasn't a pedo. But public went 'then why did he settle if he was innocent?' so that's why he is still tarred as one.
