I keep seeing this go back and forth. Confirmed, then walked back like 2 or 3 times now. My wife is convinced it is true, and got upset that I was skeptical.

I got the same story from a friend. I reminded him that they said the Germans were spearing babies with bayonets in World War I and I wasn't going to believe it without video proof. He said there was video, so where is it?
All the normies have seen horrible things from this conflict. Hundreds of bodies lying around, Israeli babies tossed around like footballs by Hamas, women raped... I've seen people claiming witness to all these. Apparently on Facebook you can see all this shit Just Before It Got Deleted (tm).
I guess I was going to the wrong source, scrolling war gore threads on /pol/ for days, because all the violence I saw was a couple of dead bodies being abused, a couple of hostages being roughed up, and a woman with mud/blood on her sweatpants.

I mean the pictures are there, you can see them for yourself. What actually happened is a bunch of normal people saw a pile of mutilated babies and thought they'd been beheaded. What actually happened was the bodies were in such bad shape they can't even tell what happened to the head in a lot of cases.

I don't doubt that kids have been killed, but I don't believe anything coming from the moiths of war profiteers.

What Hamas did was brutal and violent enough to have any gut wrenching photos for an entire campaign.
So any embellishment or exaggeration should be met with extreme scrutiny, because it means they are trying to sell you more than just a "response action" and are trying to get you worked up enough to not question anything else.
A rocket or grenade landing in an area where kids are playing, and then you get something unsurprising, but not something a normie would have any reference to.

I don't doubt that there were babies killed in exceptionally horrible ways in that attack, because that's what modern jihadis do, but the 40 babies story was obviously a hysterical lie.
That's really it. No one should seriously doubt this could have actually happened to some extent, but the sheer level they were trying to sell it at made it completely nonsensical to even the slightest thought.
