If black people were always in Europe, why would we have travelled to Africa to enslave the ones there? There should have been plenty available right next door.
well Europe and the British isles do have a rich history of slavery, especially amongst the Viking cultures. they just enslaved other Europeans and British isles natives because that's what was available.
slaves being primarily black is 100% a post revolution American thing, and that was only because Africa was the best place to get cheap slaves at the time. Britain had long since stopped sending over convicts to be indentured servants.
To be fair that show so silly and funny. At least they weren’t trying to push that it was based on some lost ancient history which I’m sure they’d try to do today. Plus the show had the guy who played Scotty
It's actually astonishing watching older media, even just back to the 90s. Movies and TV shows which have main and/or background casts which are entirely White, or documentary films of once entirely White Western cities and locations. The acceleration of the Kalergi plan is insane, and there are still people who don't see it, and some who actively deny it despite the evidence, because the "authorities" told them so.
The same reason the Black Hebrew Israelites believe that black people are just better people and yet somehow defeated by the filthy white animals, I suspect...
They'll convince themselves this is real.
For it to be real, white people must have perpetrated the most total genocide imaginable, stolen all their land, history and success and left them to rot in Africa.
They'll either demand reparations, and/or that we be genocided in return.
I don’t know how many times I can say this is insane. Also I can’t believe how far the BBC has fallen. I love their pre diversity obsession programming. Never thought I’d see the day where I run from the BBC. So black people were everywhere but in Africa? Gotcha. I remember I read an essay a while back saying it would’ve been very rare to see an African that far north in Europe and if you did see one in Europe it would’ve been in the southern part of Europe at a trading hub or something
I always knew there was something about Blackadder that was bothering me. Some tiny, single historical inconsistency. Now I know what. FIX THIS, THE BBC! Put your balls where your money is and give us the blackwashed remake we all want (to ignore).
The funny thing is, they are plausibly correct in that ancient Briton's may have had darker skin. however they're making a very American mistake by conflating skin color with ethnic origin. to my knowledge, sub-Saharan Africans did not make it to the British isles until trade and conquest opened up in the world became more well traveled. even then, for centuries a sub-Saharan African in the British isles would have been rare and unique.
Everything I’ve read says the same thing about Sub-Saharan ppl in England back then would’ve been very rare. Until now, because to justify ridiculous period pieces today they have essays that claim it was always diverse

Also black people apparently genocided native americans now

I guess if you don't count Africans enslaving each other long before then.
Or the Arabic slave trade.
Amazing the problems you solve when you geld your slaves before it becomes an issue.
true
I’ve tried this argument. Not worth debating
According to the Nation of Islam, White people were created through selective breeding by Yakub on the island of Patmos about 6600 years ago.
Even their headcanon is a self-own. They lost to a slave revolt or whatever lol
No, homeboys are from there too

This is full-on revisionistic history targeting minors.
They've been doing that to us in government schools for the last several decades.
On the bright side, at least this is better than the way these fuckers usually target minors.
Ironically, they've never embodied their name so thoroughly. Truly horrible (at telling) history.
They are just continuing to lay the foundation for total white genocide.

So... if UK was always black. Why is there racism?? Rofl. Hahaha.
We must speak out about these terrible black colonizers.
The same reason the Black Hebrew Israelites believe that black people are just better people and yet somehow defeated by the filthy white animals, I suspect...
This makes me sad. There are kids that are going to believe this,
Sigh, I remember when they were good and informative in a fun way for kids now they're nothing more than another boring lecture tool.
Think most of the original cast moved on anyway.
Why is it ALWAYS black? Never anybody else who secretly owned history or invented everything.
Somebody explain this.
Because by elevating blacks they make everyone engage in absurdism. In what world are blacks the pinnacle of humanity? Absurd clown world
Other races can sometimes pass.

Cool, let's make King Henry and Bloody Mary black, maybe we can retcon most of the leaders of the East India Company to be black too.
As someone with Scottish AND Irish lineage I don't think it's unreasonable for me to demand reparations from the Black community.
Gibbs!!
If I were black, I'd be so embarrassed/enraged by all this pandering.
You don’t know the half of it. But sadly I’ve seen plenty of black ppl who cheer on this garbage
As I've suspected for a while, it's like they want racists.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiit.

by believing it we'll summon it forth!
