Alimony can only exist if the marriage has already eroded. The very fact that you can not only get divorced, but be given a huge payout for life in doing so has already proven the institution is dead beyond a meaningless romantic gesture.
Women in their chimp like brains will straight up say whatever words they think work best to emotionally manipulate you, despite them being in clear violation of even making sense.
What on earth could be more damaging to the institution of marriage than dangling a big fucking financial carrot outside the exit door?
Do these nakedly self serving hoes really not have a less obviously false way to shill for their gibs?
If this isn't proof that modern marriage is an anti-male scam I don't know what is.
Its been an anti-male scam from the moment no fault divorce entered our legal system.
It had plenty cons beforehand, but that was the tipping point where it went from being either pro-male or even neutrally setup to purely for women's benefit.
Reptile-like brains, you are thinking of the reptile brain. Chimp brain is more like "GIBS ME DAT reeee oooga booga booga WUZ"
No, that still sounds like women.
While it should be treated harshly, I believe this is actually an insidious redefinition.
She says that putting limits on alimony erodes the "institution of marriage." She used the word 'institution' deliberately to subvert it into something literal instead of the typical use as a allusion to marriage as a "holy institution" referencing it's establishment by God himself. Rather her meaning was that of the government institution(s) that are engaged to supplement, interfere, and ultimately replace marriage (of which alimony is an important part).
Deliberate corruption of a term against it's classic connotation for political repositioning.
Oh, no! She might have to get off her fat ass and working for a living. The horror!
She might also be afraid that she or some of her golden girl friends will have to move from Boca Raton to Tallahassee or something.
Screw you for sharing that! Now I have I have a wicked headache.
this is perfectly consistent with family values. These women have exited the family and have no value.
TIL permanent alimony exists (or did, I dunno if other states have it?)
It used to be the default, which is why It's mostly older women still cashing in. They pushed the Strong Independent Woman shtick so hard that even the notoriously corrupt family courts now need a pretty strong excuse to grant it. These days they use child support as a backdoor way of accomplishing the goal, but that's time limited.
Boy oh boy, I wonder what imp has to say about this.
Probably some deranged screeching about how it's all part of women's evil plan or something, but still.
Fuck de Simpis and his more feminine way.
Or some equally retarded shit.
Yeah, but I wanted to see him call him desimp, as he goes against women.
The cognitive dissonance is hilarious
Shame our tranny whacked him. I would have wanted to see his reaction as well.
While not Imp's take, the non-feminist negative take I have seen about this basically is a mix of accelerationism and drawing attention to that screenshot that's been floating around about the powers that be walking back a little bit of the woke stuff in preparation for trying to get more men (and especially straight white men) to sign up for the military and die in the next round of forever wars. So since this would appear to match that idea, this alimony change is bad because it lulls men into a false sense of security.
At least, that's my understanding of the non-feminist negative take.
I can see that argument, but I think it's a drop in the bucket compared to what needs to change in order to get men back into marriage or signing up to fight for a society that hates them. A good start, but we're a long way from forcing these clowns back into their tiny car.
Already? I think I saw him posting yesterday so that may be a record
He hasn't posted in 2 weeks.
Thought I saw a comment of him this weekend. Probably an old page on mobile that wasn't refreshed
It's ok, fren. He'll always be with us. :'(
What did he get a timeout for?
His comments about women. I always say that if he hasn't posted in more than a day it's a safe bet that he got rule 16ed for saying something about women that our tranny janny didn't like.
I mean, those rules exist for a good reason, because open race hatred attracts unwanted attention.
It might persuade him to take Trump's cock out of his mouth for one second, but probably not.
He's probably too busy tied up in Antonios dungeon rn anyway.
That's a mental image I didn't need.
And yet, now you have it.
They really do need to just hate fuck and get it out of their systems. They'd both be happier.
...I don't hate him though. Nor does he hate me. Ever noticed that he never responds to me in the vitriolic way he does to some others?
🤣
DeSantis is a TRAITOR and NOW puppet for vetoing it the first time around. He is bribed and blackmailed by feminists. He probably received a huge payoff for his first veto, but because of the Imp's heroic efforts to expose his TREASON, this time he chose to hide how much he is a feminist puppet by signing it.
Ayo based? Who is feeding DeSantis these W's that no one asked for? I can't remember Imp even talking about ending permanent alimony.
Imp turned against DeSantis when he vetoed last year's version of this bill. He's absolutely in favor of ending that corrupt practice.
A large improvement, but still fucking onerous.
Consider the possible liability a man must shoulder for the common case divorce with a median length of first marriages ending in divorce is ~13 years, with men being aged ~43 at that point.
Source: https://www.bgsu.edu/ncfmr/resources/data/family-profiles/schweizer-median-age-divorce-2018-fp-20-18
That would fall under the moderate-term marriage, per this law:
15 fucking years of payments for a 13 year long marriage.
Not including child support, if there are any kids, for which there is NO assumption of shared custody in Florida.
Amen. Give them nothing.
These are cumulative?
In the tiny part of the bill I read it said "or," which would make more sense.
I sure hope this is what is meant.
I mean, objectively, the concept of alimony is beyond crazy in the world we live in, but at least this is a step in the right direction.
It makes more sense from the perspective of how divorce courts work, too. They can consoder multiple motivations for alimony, but you only get one package. They may use the longest justification tho.
Unfortunately, they are not mutually exclusive. It's whatever combination of forms of alimony the court decides is "necessary".
At least it can't be forever anymore.
Alright, I wasn't really keen on DeSantis trying to dethrone Trump in the Presidential race, but now he has my attention.
Anyone willing to take even a meager swing at the fucked up state of marriage and divorce with an eye towards unfucking the situation has some merit to them.
Desantis giving up a useful institutional position as governor, when we need strong governors to fight the fed, is both a selfish move on his part and a tacit denial of election fraud. It is a belief that Trump actually lost instead of the citizens having voter fraud perpetuated against them.
Desantis is more directly useful as governor than getting into a slap fight with the candidate that people actually want for president. His running is disloyal and short sighted, if he is actually a good man and not simply trying to climb the ladder.
He's term limited out in 3 years, so don't give me that. Furthermore, this is has nothing to do with 'election fraud', which is vastly exaggerated to begin with. They rigged the election legally.
He's just making sure women don't get stuck owing men.
This must be an appeal to Miami/Palm Beach voters.
Anyone marrying without a prenuptial contract is nuts.
Did Ron ask his wife’s permission for this? After all, she’s a man of integrity and honor.
It is obnoxious shit like this why I really hate Onlytrumpers like you.
This has nothing to do with the primary and you tried to use a conservative victory to make a baseless personal attack against the wife of DeSantis.
For the record Trump let his liberal daughter Ivanka and his rat son in law Kushner run his White House.
DeSantis does not delegate his policy to anyone in his family.
I don't see DeSantis supporters ever attacking Melania Trump.
OnlyTrumpers not be psychopaths challenge. Difficulty Impossible.
I was just curious, because I don't recall MegoThor getting in any primary slap fights with you, so I checked his post history...
In like the last 6 weeks, 2 or 3 mentions of Trump, and one time mentioning DeSantis when responding to some of your typical TDS 'spergery.
Projection. Utter, pathetic, predictable projection.
While I think he goes too far in his attacks on Trump, he has also said that he would support Trump if he wins the primary. The same cannot be said of some of the DDS spergs.
Show me an instance where I ever attacked Melania Trump.
You can't dumbass because I don't baselessly attack the spouse of candidates that I don't support.
I have seen Onlytrumpers like Alex Bruesewitz, Gavin Wax and Joseph Ford Cotto constantly attack DeSantis's wife while no one who supports DeSantis has ever attacked Melania.
You are a fucking retard to even try to equate me with this guy.
OP attacked DeSantis' wife. Raptor criticized him. He was accused of 'projection'. He said that he never did what he criticized OP for, namely criticize Trump's wife.
Yes, but you are also a faggot so it evens out.
Nobody forced DeSantis to run. If he had waited until 2028 he would have been a shoe-in for the Republican nomination. As it is, he’s being used by GOP RINO’s as a spoiler candidate to split conservative votes to make it easier to rig another election against Trump. If he can’t see that, then fuck him.
Hardly. There are people who would have been shoe-ins, but when they ran they were massive disappointments - like Fat Fattie from New Jersey.
It's good that he's running. I support Trump, so DeSantis should lose gracefully in order to be the presumptive 2028 nominee.
Comment Reported for: Rule 3 - Harassment
Comment Approved: Not anywhere near the level of vitrol required.
You mean the speech to harass people in their own homes? There's nothing protected about the "speech" of projecting slurs onto someone's private residence.
Although, this is largely due to jews being a bunch of sniveling pussies expecting daddy government to protect them. If someone projected shit on my house, I'd shoot them dead.
Signing the bill in Israel is fucking gay though and obviously meant to pander to jews.
