The court shall make written findings of fact regarding the basis for awarding a form or any combination of forms of alimony, including the type of alimony and the length of time for which the alimony is awarded. The court may award a combination of forms of alimony or forms of payment... to provide greater economic assistance in order to allow the obligee to achieve self-support (page 3-4)
Unfortunately, they are not mutually exclusive. It's whatever combination of forms of alimony the court decides is "necessary".
In the tiny part of the bill I read it said "or," which would make more sense.
I sure hope this is what is meant.
I mean, objectively, the concept of alimony is beyond crazy in the world we live in, but at least this is a step in the right direction.
