Women were among the very first to brew beer, ever

Clever way of saying “men did it, but I guess some women maybe were involved too”

Remember when that Netflix series had to create a fictional female chess prodigy in order to stick it to Bobby Fisher because he claimed that women weren’t good at chess?

I suppose if logic was their strong suit, they wouldn’t have had to fabricate an example to support their worldview.

You mean while currently there have never been top tier women chess champions? Women’s leagues exist for a reason, and it’s not to “draw more women to the game”

Judith Polgar was quite respectable... but if you look up her back-story, you'll see why.

I caught the first few minutes of that movie on TV a couple years ago.

The very first scene features three black women driving to NASA for work. They're pulled over by a caricature of the southern good ol' boy cop who proceeds to demean and harass them.

(((Hollywood))) wants everyone to think that black people are harassed everywhere they go.

Yep. In-group is your worse enemy. Women are their own worse enemy. Blacks are their own worse enemy. They try to sabotage each other and keep each other down. Its very weird.

Yup, see things like "coconut" or "bounty", which is a coconut based chocolate bar, both used as pejoratives to describe someone as "brown on the outside but white inside". Anyone who "steps off the plantation" is attacked by their peers.

It’s essentially motte and bailey. Find some woman who ostensibly contributed to something in some comically small way, then blow it completely out of proportion in order to claim ownership of the entire project. Narcissists do this regardless of gender, but women are far more prone to cluster B.

You might say they’re a bunch of Bs.

This is a common spell they cast.

THEY put US in bikinis

No one put you in a bikini. Women are not a monolith, and you do not speak for women.

Those particular women put themselves in bikinis, freely, in exchange for compensation. This employment was only made possible by those women strictly adhering to diet and exercise, which cultivated their physical assets to the extent that it became possible to generate return on their investment.

Plenty of women wanted to appear in those ads but didn’t qualify. Would you qualify? Of course not. So you have every motivation to decry the ads and the company as evil. Because they don’t benefit you.

Why should we listen to you at all? Because you own a vagina? I thought I could just ask the nearest chick with a dick. It’s not like you have any means to disprove his membership in the club.

Hell, I’ll just consult myself. My self-issued woman card is valid in 2023. I think those busty bimbo ads are great. Welcome to your new world, sister.

Based on the before and after of the "sexual liberation" and really women's liberation as a whole, the bikini would be less sexual than what they openly wear for free just to walk around in daily.

They never seem to acknowledge that in their "they are sexualizing us!" whine. Because for most of history you might see some cleavage from a particularly hefty woman at the bar at best each day. Now I can see the entire outline of a stranger's snatch on the sidewalk.

It really is fucking weird how the more common skimpy outfits became amongst women in everyday public, the less appropriate it is to make ads showing that?? Dumb ass upside down society we're in.

Plenty of women wanted to appear in those ads

Everyone remember when grid girls were cancelled because it was demeaning to women or some other bullshit reason when the more likely one is jealous ham planets didn't like the competition?

Those jobs are probably filled by drag queens these days 🤔

We did it, Reddit! We kicked women out of work they enjoyed and replaced them all with men! A truly inspirational tale of equality and diversity in the modern world 🤡🌎

See also: cheerleaders.

No joke, outside the US, the same shit as happened to the grid girls/promo girls, happened to them…

Same story, same result.

But again, noticing that pattern probably makes me a “sexist transphobe” or some similar bullshit… 🤷🏻‍♂️

Massive revisionist history to pretend women “made beer” which is about as historically accurate as Dionysus inventing wine

Women invented wine, history, water and air. FACT!

Nah, we’re talking “I base my whole identity around this fact”.

While the tweet calls it new, this vid was released March 7: https://archive.is/wip/WqfLe

Also some guy was claiming Miller is owned by AB Inbev but that isn't true: the Miller brands were sold to Molson Coors during the SAB Miller merger. Haven't fact checked all of this infographic but it seems legit, will help you know what brands to avoid if you want to boycott Bud and/or Coors: https://twitter.com/ConmanProline/status/1658134733904285703

There is a LOT you can still do in Europe, including fighting against any company that is supportive of the flooding of your shores with muslims.

▲ 4 ▼
– AntonioOfVenice 4 points 3 years ago +4 / -0

I know of no such company. Companies are rarely political here that I have seen, but when they are, it's not supporting flooding the country with Muslims. I'm sure they're lobbying for it behind closed doors though.

Ben & Jerry's to this day has political messaging on its packaging. And the whole 'endogamous racial couples are a rarity these days, get with the program' commercials were basically started in Europe.

You've never seen a commercial that tries to paint the demographics of Europeans as anything but White? You've never seen any billboard where the composition is designed to promote racemixing? You've never been bombarded with a perpetual propaganda campaign designed to distance the company from the people who built and bought the goods up until 5 years ago? If so, you're unbelievably lucky and I'm envious.

I've got an opposite problem: There's a Czech beer brand where the owner is a massive shitlord. He got under fire from cat ladies years ago for using pinup girls in ads, so he said fuck you and had them modified with his own face and then plastered that on IRL billboards. The seething was incredible.

Beer with balls

There's a woman behind everything

Actual blakface, that one caused so much salt lmao

Problem is, I don't like their beer all that much, and it's not easy to find where I am anyway.

Yeah. It's a family business and not very big, so chances of finding it anywhere other than CZ are pretty slim... although looking at Wikipedia it looks like they're actually exporting to quite a few countries, huh. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bernard_Brewery

Yeah, because identity politics and beer mixed so well for Bud Light.

If I really want a beer, I can get Shiner on tap probably anywhere within 200mi of my house. Further, I'm sure I could find Sam Adams or Yuengling. Beyond that I bet I could pick up some Pilsner Urquell or something. This is just beer I think of off the top of my head and I'm not even knowledgeable. Point being, you don't even have to try to find a good selection of alternatives.

Years share same dates and you can look up what previous years share the same dates as current or next year and buy sexy beer or nudie calendars from 70s-90s back when men could be men. Makes great presents for dude bros for Xmas.

It's such good shit.

I miss Bill. And George. And Chris Farley. And Uncle Buck John Candy. And John Belushi.

TFW my favourite comedians all had some kind of substance problem. No wonder three of them were dead by 33 and a fourth [Candy] by 43. Hicks at 32 to pancreatic cancer, Belushi and Farley at 33 to drugs - speedballs both with Belushi receiving a mixture of cocaine and heroine while Farley's was cocaine and morphine.

Carlin was the only one to make it past that and would keep going for almost 3 more decades dying at 71.

Yeah, she was on Broad City, and was the less attractive, less funny of the two, on a thoroughly unfunny show…

Which is quite an achievement, seeing as the other one is an ugly lesbian…

She sucks, in short.

Which, of course, suits corporate just fine.
