UK's Crown Prosecution Service has designated some passages in the Bible as ‘no longer appropriate’ to be stated in public and doing so could be a form of unlawful harassment under the Public Order Act. (twitter.com)

First thought that I had as well.

Along with including the Talmud.

Gotta be "inclusive" afterall.

I get the reprecosity, and agree with your intent.

Just remember: the whole point of the Talmud is that it isn't quoted in public, that's the Torah's job.

Hell yeah.

Your religious scripture get banned, and your religious scripture gets banned, everyones religious scripture gets banned.

Gotta be inclusive, don't want anyone to feel left out, this is "current year" after all.

Wonder what the progs reaction to that would be?

That's because Muslims have honor. Similar to Christians. I am not Muslim but it's clear to see the differences between a honor religion and a merchant religion. If you wanna know why American capitalism has turned so evil towards its own people you only need to reference the Jewish control over the system and realize it's part of their faith.

And in a sane world they would immediately lose all authority since the UK is a constitutional monarchy, who's head of the Church of England and they are trying to ban parts of the text without seeking monarchy approval

I miss the days people met an executioner for that..

100%

They are also silent and sitting on their hands while they are being replaced by Muslims. In fact, all of the UK's problems can be traced to their suicidal embrace of "multiculturalism" (read "Islamification").

There was a female politician that eventually sued people for defaming her for her role in the Rotherham scandal. She's now campaigning for the female victims but everyone knows she's guilty and her multicultural 'don't be mean to the Pakistanis' attitude is what caused this scandal to spiral out of control.

“There are references in the bible which are simply no longer appropriate in modern society and which would be deemed offensive if stated in public.”

Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Gotta protect this:

Amendment I Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

Keep it safe.

Those verses are handily all in a row for easy remembering of which ones are now dangerous. They're the section that starts with "In The Beginning...", and a couple lines later finishes up with “...The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.” , give or take a line.

So no persecution over religious creed... I'm pretty sure that is a fundamental human right. I hate all religions and even I call bullshit on this.

That reminds me of that video from Mark Dice where he ask people in the street to sign his petition to ban the Bible completely, and people just signed it without asking questions at all.

Just give it a little bit more time before the entire book is actually banned, and people will clap for it as "freedom against white supremacy". This is just the preparation of the slippery slopes, as we've seen countless examples so far.

“This document is not the forum for religious debate, but the bible contains other material recognizing slavery (Exodus 21:7), the death sentence (Exodus 35:2 and Leviticus 24:16) and cannibalism (Deuteronomy 28:27).

Funny how they keep slamming down on Christianity, when all those passages are from the Pentateuch / Torah / Tawrat , basically shared books with Judaism or Islam.

I believe this is the passage that was considered "threatening or abusive words":

Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. -1 Corinthians 6:9-10

The other verses that would be excised from the Crown Prosecution approved Bible:

If a man sells his daughter as a servant, she is not to go free as male servants do. -Exodus 21:7

For six days, work is to be done, but the seventh day shall be your holy day, a day of sabbath rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it is to be put to death. -Exodus 35:2

Say to the Israelites: ‘Anyone who curses their God will be held responsible; anyone who blasphemes the name of the Lord is to be put to death. The entire assembly must stone them. Whether foreigner or native-born, when they blaspheme the Name they are to be put to death. -Leviticus 24:15-16

Because of the suffering your enemy will inflict on you during the siege, you will eat the fruit of the womb, the flesh of the sons and daughters the Lord your God has given you. -Deuteronomy 28:53

For context, this is the topic sentence for the section of that last one:

However, if you do not obey the Lord your God and do not carefully follow all his commands and decrees I am giving you today, all these curses will come on you and overtake you: -Deuteronomy 28:15

If I remember correctly the CPS didnt say this, someones lawyer was arguing that the bible was no longer relevant.

The CPS hasnt, as far as I can tell, ruled on the case yet.

It’s all so incredibly predictable. The fact that the vast majority of people have no idea what’s going on right in front of their faces is a testimony to the moral decay of Western society.
