I work for the American branch of a Japanese company. I speak Japanese so a few times I've dug through our shared drive and prowled through all sorts of Japanese documents I could find on it. The yearly summary PowerPoints for the Japanese side all have a few slides dedicated to how their ESG team (yes, they have a whole team dedicated to it) is doing to further their ESG goals. Seeing as this is all supposed to be some cooky conspiracy theory, it was a bit creepy seeing it all laid out so clearly like that.
So more and more Japanese game companies are going woke, and Nintendo is next.
Expect a massive drop in quality. A shame too, they were one of the only companies with guaranteed quality products left, even if they had gotten a little stale recently. I haven't played the series before parts of XBC 1 & 2 so I can't definitively comment on artificial intervention, but I did suspect censorship creep.

To truly rid the world of its filth we'd need to reeducate ourselves and our children to show them that there are better ways of doing this life & society thing.
