A story about a modern revolution must be. There are hard, relevant discussions in Far Cry 6 about the conditions that lead to the rise of fascism in a nation, the costs of imperialism, forced labor, the need for free-and-fair elections, LGBTQ+ rights, and more within the context of Yara, a fictional island in the Caribbean.
Foreign capitalists with the local evil government in their pockets exploiting the local workers is what I expect. Main character to spearhead the revolution.
I'll never forget how mad the Kotaku crowd was when it actually came out. Not only were the "Cultist" not as carbon copy of a Trump voter as they wanted them to be, they even had PoC in their ranks. Then like you said the Cult ended up being right.
OR how mad Ubi employees got when people thought 'keep your rifle by your side' was a banger. Some even went into the comment section on YT to yell at people who liked it and called the all the ists.
No, it was specifically a Christian group... less cult-like and more like... enlightened. Because in the end they turned out to be right about everything, and most of the people were willing to join them and stockpile resources for the impending apocalypse.
The player-character was going around blowing up all their reserves and resources and destroying their doomsday bunkers, which was hilarious because in the end a nuclear apocalypse did occur and the player-character needlessly got countless people killed.
What I meant was they started with "cult" and then added dressing to it. That dressing was Christianity. You could have changed out the Christian elements for any group and still accomplished the same story beats.
And them being right the whole time isn't new. Both 3 and 4's antagonists were correct about a lot of what they were saying and doing. Pagan Min I'd say was a far better person than your own allies.
If the questions cover topics and have answers that have been pre-approved by the MSM and have been cycling around for a decade without allowing any room for dissidence, then they are not hard questions.
This is the trap they have caught themselves in...with a game as generic and cookie cutter as Far Cry you will have to bullshit like this to make it seem different...but it will be huge map, many collectables, salvage and crafting system and watch towers...lots and lots of watch towers.
Because you already sold them the formula last year.
Even the diehard playerbase willing to pay full game price for just more of the same with a different bow on top will get bored of that formula eventually and the interest will dry up more and more on each iteration
Tell that to EA, who have sold the same soccer game to the same people for 20 years.
Hell, even I'm guilty of buying repetitive games, I've bought every F1 game since 2010. That's 10 years of the exact same game over and over. The only reason I don't already have this year's pre-ordered is because EA own the license this year and I'm boycotting them.
Actually, pretty much everywhere but North America and Asia buys those games obsessively. There's a reason they make enough money to subsidize all the godawful propaganda pieces and poorly thought out flops.
So when hunting animals for resources, every crafting reward will come with 5 minute video from Peta about animal cruelty (and how virtual and reality are the same for some reason)
Female villains? No. But also yes, and you aren't allowed to arrest kill or otherwise defeat them (she turns good for no reason. Or just vanishes from the plot like in uncharted 4)
Male heroes? Yes but also no. Every man is disposable. Including you if you chose the wrong character type at the beginning
10 minute long unskippable face to face lectures about "fascism" for everyone!!
At least 4 had the integrity to be somewhat subtle, and quite subversive when you consider Minh was actually the overall best option for everyone
I'm thinking you're right. They already killed my interest in any form of movies or TV shows. They will kill gaming too. I'm not sure what it will take for people to see it, but these guys will spread their message everywhere until you can't escape it.
They cannot stand an alternative view. I'm only wondering how long it will take before they try to destroy the 1st Amendment. They don't have the critical mass required to destroy the Constitution just yet, but that's the goal.
Ah no wonder, you're a brother. We'll either see a revival and restoration of our faith or doom for the nation. It's weird, but I see it clearly. There is no salvation possible without a return to our lord. That's the only true escape from the world.
Way too many normies are okay with degeneracy, or use the excuse "well, it doesn't bother me and as long as the game is fun I'll play it."
Hilariously enough, (if you go to non-Ubisoft YouTube channels where the comments aren't heavily moderated/censored) the biggest issue people have is that the Far Cry formula is worn out and boring rather than them having issues with all the sociopolitical agitprop.
Sadly people still aren't rebelling against the degeneracy, though. And if Ubisoft managed to bring back all the physics/mechanics from Far Cry 2 but with all the new-school graphics tech, it would definitely make it harder to wake people up because they would be too concerned with "just having fun".
Is it a 18 R rated game? Why does it need to ask any questions. Because you are playing a stupid feminist character. So much advertising for the lesbians. She is a communist insurgent fighting against the imperialist government. She is funded by the CIA through drugs and human trafficking and guns. Until they got Iran involved. Now Iran and China have pushed the CIA out. So politically correct. Of course she joined the communist guerrillas fighting for their drug running, because her pet dog got run over by the merciless imperialists and also because her best friend was accused of solicting the communist propaganda, and was sent to the salt mines. She joined the communist drug running guerrillas so she could free her lesbian friend from the salt mines.
This is literally their view of the US today, put into a video game. That's what struck me about it.
lead to the rise of fascism in a nation - obviously talking about Trump and his supporters
the costs of imperialism - denigrating the US military, they love this theme
forced labor - slavery, their favorite go to
the need for free-and-fair elections - they've been repeating this meme for ages
LGBTQ+ rights - what does this even have to do with anything? nothing, but the rainbow team is mandatory to show how "fluffy, nice, and totally harmless" they are
Do what you need to do, but have no illusion that you are buying their propaganda packaged in the form of a game.
That is a good point, but Ubisoft knew exactly what they were doing with the way they promoted the game and feeding into the Liberal lunacy about wanting a Christian murder simulator (and anyone with their head on straight should have instantly been alarmed that the enthusiast media was so giddy about murdering Christians).
The thing is, you would have to play the game to the end (or several of the endings) to finally understand what happened and that the Christians were actually the good guys actually, literally, trying to save people from the apocalypse.
So it was basically sold on a premise to court the lunatics on the Left, but then swerve-balled at the end to say, "Ha, the Christian doomsday preppers were right all along".
Rhe first half of Farcry 1 was really good for its time with the stealth and iron sights sniping. But the 2nd half turned into doom with cyborg monkeys they somegow made less interesting than the human soldiers.
The biggest disappointment of the Far Cry series for me was 4. You have to work with the bad guys and can't help your dad out in that one ;_; And no the true secret ending doesn't count
That's probably by design. Far Cry 3, which every game since has been trying to copy, made you work with the bad guys for most of its run time. Usually against other bad guys or sabotage from within.
Problem is that game had a huge message about you becoming the bad guy by enjoying the rush and thrill of your growing power, and was a good meta theme before those were overplayed. Something they've failed to emulate or at least acknowledge in the later games.
They’re really hitting all the talking points.
Let me guess, the bad guys will be white.
Yes on a fictional island in the Caribbean they will somehow be all white.
This is games in 2021...I don't even bother with them anymore, don't care about new games.
The magic is gone and it's never coming back.
Foreign capitalists with the local evil government in their pockets exploiting the local workers is what I expect. Main character to spearhead the revolution.
I don't think Ubisoft are too bothered about repeating themselves, do you?
I got it on sale recently and am actually pleasantly surprised so far.
I'll never forget how mad the Kotaku crowd was when it actually came out. Not only were the "Cultist" not as carbon copy of a Trump voter as they wanted them to be, they even had PoC in their ranks. Then like you said the Cult ended up being right.

YES!
Felt like it was just written to be a cult more than a Christian cult. Terminology is interchangeable in most cults.

Nearly every usage of Christianity in progressive media is just dressing, they don't understand any of the underlying philosophy and don't want to.
Ah, I see. In that regard, yeah you're absolutely correct.
Well that's great. They haven't gone full retard.
Let me guess - the hero will be a muslim immigrant fighting for LGBTQ rights?
"Hard Questions" isn't 3 people shouting you down while 50 back you up, it's 50 people shouting you down.
If the questions cover topics and have answers that have been pre-approved by the MSM and have been cycling around for a decade without allowing any room for dissidence, then they are not hard questions.
Another shit Ubisoft game.
Yawn
Oh really? Political you say? How groundbreaking.
This is the trap they have caught themselves in...with a game as generic and cookie cutter as Far Cry you will have to bullshit like this to make it seem different...but it will be huge map, many collectables, salvage and crafting system and watch towers...lots and lots of watch towers.
Fuck off UbiSoft.
Because you already sold them the formula last year.

Most of which are to South America. The same way NFL/NBA games are almost entirely to blacks.
These are specific markets that are not representative of the mainstream or whole.
Actually, pretty much everywhere but North America and Asia buys those games obsessively. There's a reason they make enough money to subsidize all the godawful propaganda pieces and poorly thought out flops.
I'd consider North America and Asia the majority of the mainstream for video games if we are being honest.
This makes me realize how much I want a game like Wolfenstein, where you overthrow a feminist dictatorship.
Anyway, back on topic. Another easy skip. Ubisoft should get on with making The Crew 3 already.
So when hunting animals for resources, every crafting reward will come with 5 minute video from Peta about animal cruelty (and how virtual and reality are the same for some reason)

Ask all the questions that lead to “white man bad”
Could tell just by looking at the game art
Dear, Ubisoft, Take the games and cram them in your ass. I won't be buying your garbage anymore.
Sincerely, America
I’ll keep playing my modded Skyrim and wait for Elder Scrolls 6 and Starfield
If you think Elder Scrolls and Starfield won’t be jam-packed with this political nonsense, I have a bridge and a straw house to sell you.
They’re owned by Microsoft now. They will be mandated to push diversity and inclusion.
Skyrim belongs to the NORDS!!!
I'm thinking you're right. They already killed my interest in any form of movies or TV shows. They will kill gaming too. I'm not sure what it will take for people to see it, but these guys will spread their message everywhere until you can't escape it.

People will refuse to see the madness until it’s too late.
I support indie comics, games, and the freaking Bible, because the mainstream is going down a dark path that I cannot follow.
“Let evil come, but it will not come through me.”
Or better yet a biblical passage: “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:21)
Ah no wonder, you're a brother. We'll either see a revival and restoration of our faith or doom for the nation. It's weird, but I see it clearly. There is no salvation possible without a return to our lord. That's the only true escape from the world.
The nation is doomed.
Way too many normies are okay with degeneracy, or use the excuse "well, it doesn't bother me and as long as the game is fun I'll play it."

Please let me dream lol
Hey you. You’re finally awake.

Undoubtedly it is full of the feminist bullshit
Okay you can play the communist lesbian freeing her friend from the imperialist salt mine by drug running for the CIA.
Funny, the same is true for my wallet.
Yarr harr fiddle dee dee
That doesn't answer the question. Why don't you just buy the game when it comes out? Are you getting some extra goodies?
This is literally their view of the US today, put into a video game. That's what struck me about it.

FC5 was because of the picture with 2 black chicks killing a white dude? Not a statement from Ubisoft.
That was New Dawn. It flopped hard.
I mixed them up, I checked and I have FC5 on steam just never played it, I do not even remember when I bought it.

Welp. Time to avoid Far Cry 6.
Nothing a bunch of Montreal hipsters have to say about American politics is of any value whatsoever.
Just crank out the competent-but-formulaic shooty shoot open world pile.
Another one to the torrent pile
