This is honestly the first time I am hearing about this bullshit and... I honestly struggle to care.

The realm of TED talks and academics patting themselves on the back and writing coffee table books is not the real world. Of course these idiots are charlatans -- "happiness advantage" -- what a crock of shit!

This has no bearing on most people with actual psychological issues. You would never tell them to ignore issues or minimize them while working through it.

Just more mental junk food for the feminized and lazy academic class.

100%.

I don't pre-judge anyone -- but it becomes painfully obvious who conforms to stereotypes with 5 minutes of meeting them.

Maybe 10 years ago I gave people more of a chance, but it is largely a waste of time.

The big money behind the Uniparty, that's who.

mhmm, and there are biological reasons for that.

You going to try to condition human psychology out of an instinct put in by thousands of generations of evolution? Nah, it's a fool's errand.

There really isn't a way out of this predicament. The feminists will push society off a cliff -- and then once millions of men have died to fix it, the women will blame men.

Hopefully we go back to telling them to shut the fuck up and/or ignoring them.

Broken record at this point - I agree with you in spirit but you are never going to accomplish anything with the hostile tone.

This is more about white males having NO support than anything else. Teenagers fuckin' lie, dude.

I heard some story from... Germany, I think.

Restaurant with residence above. Guy breaks in restaurant and owner, fearing for his family in the same building, rearranges a few plates in the guy's skull.

Who got in more trouble? The owner, of course.

I just want simple rules, man. You break into my house where my family is sleeping and you forfeit your life. If you happen to leave with it, consider yourself lucky. Simple.

There is a place in vancouver to buy mushrooms or LSD, too.

It sucks because I hate the kinda shit up in the post, but I don't think psychedelics are drugs in the same way.

Selling heroin on the street is a good way to get people to support clamping down on everything again.

They have had kind of a resurgence. Amazon killed bookstores but then Amazon killed Amazon books so... bookstores survived.

Haven't you noticed?

Every time humans try to play God and create sentience or cheat death, it ends up as a cruel mockery of nature?

AI is no different.

I admit I fell deeper into a sedentary lifestyle over the past couple years. Always fat (220-230 lbs) but I never had injuries or limited. I climbed Mt Fuji and Mt Hallasan in the same year (tallest mountain in Japan/Korea respectively) with little difficulty.

But god damn once i got up to 250 it was like everything was falling apart. Blood pressure was awful, resting pulse was 80, felt like trash all day.

I quit my desk job and picked up a more physical job. I dont even touch a computer most days. Lost 30 lbs in 5 months without any other changes and I feel great again. Still need to lose 40 or so more, but the improvement has already done wonders for my mental health.

We're a long way from acknowledging anything in this vein of thought. Even hazing (college/military) has a purpose in team building.

Yes but there can also be causation there (even if the referenced correlation doesn't prove it).

Testosterone levels in the west have been dropping for decades. This study isn't the first one I have seen to suggest higher testosterone = more conservative politics.

Nah I think this one is to humiliate us.

Agree with you 100%

The future is understanding human psychology and building society to cater to our strengths and minimize our weaknesses. The ultimate problem with DEI and affirmative action is that it does the opposite, essentially.

The thing that Imp gets right but does a bad job articulating is that women are driving our society off a cliff because we are all so easily manipulated by them.

It is biological for us to protect women. An instinct. It is why we coddle girls who cry and not boys -- it isn't culture it is our biological impulses. The internet and mass communication have allowed these instincts to be hijacked by idiots and bad actors.

There are so many incompetent women in positions of power because western society is literally easy mode for women. Having lived in eastern asia I think they actually have a decent balance (far from perfect, mind you) on the gender balance, especially compared to us.

The writers that haven't had an original idea in years? The writers that threw darts at a rainbow flag for years for casting? The writers that want to reboot and retread every franchise into a soulless cash cow zombie? Those writers?

Shout out to the mental gymnastics sociologists did in addressing this with the idea of "food deserts."

I still remember my two classmates all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to study food deserts and prove systemic racism against black people. Professors were salivating to advise the paper.

It was dead in about four weeks. Every preliminary analysis concluded that people had access to good food, they just made mind-bogglingly bad choices.

I think about that a lot. The data were so bad these Olympic-level mental gymnasts just gave up almost immediately.

The instinct to feel like a part of the in-group is so strong.

Young boys being psychological lemmings... jumping right off that cliff.

Proper reaction is to not be a victim but get fucking mad. But he won't. Probably because mom won't let him.

I am pretty convinced we are doomed at this point. We are on a crash course for something bad and the only real question left is whether we hit the wall while accelerating or with our foot on the brake to some degree.

The less messy it all gets, the easier it will be to move on.

thepalagoon 4 points ago +4 / -0

I dunno.

I wonder if this is going to wake up some normies. Most of the liberal normies I know have blinders on to all the degeneracy, but they still care about kids.

Look at the argument about this drag bullshit. It isn't "good for kids" its just "not bad for them, you conservative bigot." It is still all about the parents virtue signaling to others.

Dead kids don't play well anywhere. This story feels like it might morph into a 'crossing the Rubicon' moment in hindsight.

Yeah. Dude got broken. Thankfully we do have the archives of his best moments.

But he is best considered a casualty of war at this point.

Let the Rad Fems and the TERFs fight.

Hopefully they take care of themselves and save us the trouble.

Neither side is your friend. They are two sides of a mass formation psychosis locked in a death struggle. Let them!

I went on a week-long cruise the week this was a thing in 2012. I literally got back and everyone was talking about the shitshow it had turned into.

It is so weird because it was apparently this viral thing that I have no context for. I might as well have been in a coma. I know the song 'Jackin' it in San Diego' from South Park is about it but... again, no idea.

Just put the entire Mister Rogers catalog on repeat forever. I promise the generous support of viewers like you and the Sears-Roebuck foundation will keep it going forever.

Maybe her handlers' revenge, sure.

This would be like saying AOC's revenge or Jacinda Ardern's revenge. They aren't smart enough or even personally invested enough for that. They are the smiling woman face that people are supposed to defend even though they don't know why.
