You will note that there is a single white outlier of very poor health outcomes, which also correlates very highly with obesity, and that area is called Central Appalachia. Lines up perfectly. This area is also extremely poor & we all know the stereotypes of extreme white trash rednecks.
Obesity map lines up better than the negro map.
When you look at obesity, the major outlier become Las Vegas, which think we can safely say is booze and drugs and partying yourself to death.
Not to mention that's it's an inhospitable fucking desert.
Lots of black people are obese. 49.6% if you believe the NIH.
Shout out to the mental gymnastics sociologists did in addressing this with the idea of "food deserts."
I still remember my two classmates all bright-eyed and bushy-tailed and ready to study food deserts and prove systemic racism against black people. Professors were salivating to advise the paper.
It was dead in about four weeks. Every preliminary analysis concluded that people had access to good food, they just made mind-bogglingly bad choices.
I think about that a lot. The data were so bad these Olympic-level mental gymnasts just gave up almost immediately.

I'd guess that the native american population density map also correlates to lower life expectancy map.
Eastern Oklahoma and parts of New Mexico, Arizona and Montana on the map match native american populations perfectly.

Yea I hate that mindset. So some evil white supremacist is keeping you from getting out and doing some walking. I remember watching this video of an overweight black woman saying that she was overweight due to Trump and the stress of white supremacy. Sadly that wasn’t an SNL skit. The mostly white audience was nodding in agreement and I remember thinking that they can’t possibly be taking this woman seriously.

I think all black doctors should serve black patients just so the black people know there is no racism, and not because black doctors are objectively worse.

Can confirm. It was a pretty common thing to have kids I grew up with just fucking murdered at random points, which on a larger scale will decimate life expectancy rates.
And it was always over drugs. Mom gets a new "boyfriend" and then doesn't pay, so now her, the kid, and/or more people are dead. Not even the hard drugs you expect, sometimes just pot.
Take two guesses at what color every drug dealer in town is.

Alaska is a hostile environment and lots of people kill each other. It's pretty much the hardcore pvp server of America. Population also skews male.
Also bear in mind that those big areas with dark colors in Alaska have almost no population. It's really remote and unpopulated. Mostly natives & they have lots of issues with violence & alcoholism.

It's not just low pop, if you're old you get out of that area. I'm not sure you southerners can conceptualize how remote that area is.
Probably not. Most rural place I've lived is Nebraska, and it was in a small town, not wilderness.

I'm in Alaska and the Red areas in Alaska nobody lives. It's all remote wilderness. Small villages sometimes. The south and the southeast are the population centers. Any deaths in those areas are going to be hunters. If you're even getting sort of old you've left the red areas.

If you look carefully it doesn't actually correlate all that well. More likely a another factor is at play, probably related to latitude.
