There’s going to be some epic whining over this one. The whole marginalized or oppression thing has always been frustrating when dealing with trannies or their allies. “We need to protect trans rights” and I’d ask “which rights need protecting?” They can vote (as long as they remember to update the registration), own property, be religious (or not), get married, etc. Then I get “they’re excluded from using the restrooms they want!” I didn’t know that was a right, but that’s the main one I’ve gotten in response. If that’s their biggest concern then they’re doing pretty well.
You see, when slaves tried to escape plantations, their former owners would hunt them with dogs. Having a pet dog is just an act of white supremacy that reminds blacks of their ancestry. After all, just as all whites are descended from slaveowners, all dogs are descended from dogs owned by slaveowners. So shooting the dog was really just an act of racial justice. You aren’t a bigot who opposes racial justice, are you?
I was on the sci fi book subreddit back then. Those liberal cucks did the usual “I’m sure they have insurance and it’s for a good cause.” That was the one place I’d have expected some outrage over a sci fi bookstore being torched, but no.
I’d like to think this would be disastrous for the strikers. Guess what? Unless we’re talking about a walking sim where the point is to experience characters’ melodrama (and lesbianism) voice acting means almost nothing to games. Call of Duty will do just as well if they stopped hiring big name actors for their stories, because the multiplayer-obsessed dude bros don’t give a shit about the single player experience. (Actually, didn’t they ditch campaigns recently?) Do I really value having “my face is tired” or “I don’t even have time to explain why I don’t have time to explain” acted out? No! Shitty writing deserves to be scrolled past quickly because all it’s doing is getting in the way of me playing the actual game. If I wanted a movie, I’d watch a movie. If I wanted to suffer through loads of shit writing, I’d go through a visual novel. When I play a game I want to play the game. So if voice actors and writers or whatever stop getting in the way and go away, I’ll be glad.
Regardless of wokeness, making crazy changes and attacking the fans is not generally a good business move. What did they do? Declare there’d be no more women in battle bikinis, and instead of violence, monsters would talk about the societal norms which have oppressed them?
