Why would anyone do this? Even tattooed men in circus sideshows didn't go that far.

I'd say you've got it right. When I went Christmas shopping, I spotted a card game with a French Revolution theme. It was called Guillotine. That tells you something.

I can't imagine that's a surprise to anyone. The main thrust of the first movie's plot was "Evil colonizers are destroying the environment!"

I think the embrace of Communist thought is the reason for the atheist movement. Since, according to them, Christianity is part of the "superstructure of capitalism", it must be dismantled. These days they might say that Christianity is the result of homophobia, misogyny, racism, etc, but it amounts to the same thing.

I wish they would have added a bit more information. I'd like to know how many people believed that hate speech wasn't protected by the first amendment, but thought it should be.

You misunderstand. The left wants YOU to be more tolerant of the things you dislike. They not only tolerate all the acceptable things, they celebrate them.

As it's rolled out, I think these restrictions won't apply to everyone. I'm sure the left will create some kind of tier system. Their favored groups will get more trips or be exempted from the restriction entirely. Much like the American system of gas rationing during WWII, except based on political allegiance rather than importance to the war effort.

Their answers should be the story of Noah's ark because God's promise is the only reason the world isn't being flooded again.

It's all spelled out in a book called The Absent Superpower. The US is worried about the spread of Communism post-WWII, so we basically bribe other countries to take our side. Those who side with us are protected from invasion by the US military, have their shipping protected by the US navy, and are free to sell their products in the US. All that we ask in return is that they don't attack other members of our alliance and don't become Communist.

Not really. I'm in a purple metro area in the US. People wearing the mask is the exception, not the rule.

If the left had their way, we never would have done it. At the launch of Apollo 11, there were protesters there, making it know that they think the space program should be defunded and the funds redirected to welfare.

The students in the school aren't socially distanced.

Well, they can't be Real Communists™. Don't you know that Real Communism™ has never been tried?

The religious argument is just a smoke screen so the pro-choice side can hide behind the first amendment. The crux of the argument is at this: at what point do you have a right to life? The fact that a person who assaults a pregnant woman and causes her to miscarry can be charged with murder indicates that its before birth.

Here's the reality. In 2018, there were 985,026 licensed physicians in the USA. There are 330,150,668 people in the USA. Let's say everyone in the USA exercises their human right to an annual physical. If we say a physical takes 20 minutes, every doctor in the country would have to work 80 hours a week every week.

For those wondering, Dr. Puritty is a PhD candidate in biology. I took a look at UC San Diego's course listings. She's not teaching any courses this year, but this what she taught in the 2021 - 2022 academic year:

  • AAS 190: Special Topics in African-American Studies
  • CAT 125 Public Rhetoric & Practical Communication
  • CCS 101 Carbon Neutrality at UC
  • CCS 102 Research Perspective on Climate Change
  • ENVR 30 Environmental Issues
  • ENVR 102 Selected Topics on the Environment

AAS 190 with Dr. Puritty seems like the best way to fulfill your diversity requirement. At least, it's probably the least amount of effort you'll need to put in.

To be fair, modern Egypt is a lot better at preserving artifacts. They know that having the Rosetta Stone means tourist money in the bank, otherwise they probably wouldn't have bothered to ask for it back.

It's incredible the change of attitude the left has had towards large pharmaceutical companies in the past 5 years. In 2017, they would have told you that Pfizer only cares about profits and would happily let people die if it helped their bottom line. In 2022, entertaining the notion that Pfizer would rush out a product that was ineffective or unsafe for a huge payday is unthinkable.
