I played on console for years so I got used to not expecting the option. Only thing I don't like is when a fast paced competitive game puts actions I need to take "on the run" on characters like left ctrl, Z, and X. I always remap those early if I can.

I've personally flown a power off 180 with an instructor who is a DPE (the one who gives pilots license tests) and who has been in planes since he was in the Air Force in Vietnam days. The request was a short approach, nothing more. I did that same maneuver later with another less experienced instructor and their request when asking me to do that maneuver is to turn immediately I was actually going to glide further for a better approach and was told no, get to the runway first.

I'll look it up later just because I'm curious but I've never heard of such a thing. These bad ATC people don't help their reputation, because good controllers can almost do art with how they manage planes.

Most good music has roots in classical music. The rest is generally shit. Booming bass while mumbling sexual content does not equal music.

Even if I did care, I wouldn't spend 10 minutes bothering to support such a useless waste of time. No one cares what San Francisco thinks about a war on the other side of the world.

Almost none of that stuff is for an electrician. Also almost all of that stuff is male and female.

Haha, I forgot about that. No, I wasn't that weird. I'm sure someone would put me on some sort of "spectrum" if I let them, but I've never had an obsessive personality like that. We didn't have cable for a long time, so I watched what was on and I preferred that over whatever after school kids stuff was on honestly.

You should see how bad those are. Right before Christmas I was working in my living room while renovating my office. So I turned the TV on and ended up on that channel one day. It's not even court like anymore. It's basically niggas relationship drama with some wood decor around. I used to watch The People's Court when I was a kid after school. Yes I was weird. Nothing like that now.

Nose rings are awful. The way I’ve gotten, if I were dating they’d all hate me, because I’d show up then leave abruptly for any reason. Soon as I see a nose ring, that date lasts about 30 seconds. No longer have the willingness to be nice and waste my time.

Haha, they act as if any of that is illegal. Quid pro quo is not some horrible thing, it’s just a transaction.

Yeah, fake. Still I tell my cousin that's middle school age never to put down stupid shit he says in texts. If only he'd listen.

I've said for years Christmas should stay in December, meaning nothing before the 1st and everything gone on the 31st. Not that I really enjoy the holiday anymore anyway. For me, it's just arguments, complaining, rules about how to give presents and who I'm allowed to visit and all if I don't want a bunch of emotional shit.

It's feminists, not men, that look down on women who do cleaning, cooking, and rearing children.

In the US, I live in Arkansas – not exactly a pinnacle of religious diversity. I, however, had never been exposed to school-sponsored explicitly religious events like I was when I lived in England. Our Christmas parties were always winter parties, and we would at least talk about Hanukkah and Kwanzaa. Our spring break was always called “spring break” – never Easter break. And, most importantly, there were never any required Christian assemblies. Institutionally, I’ve never felt isolated for being Jewish in the United States.

I went to every single year of my schooling in Arkansas. I don't recall more than like a mention of Hanukkah here and there and maybe one of those lefty posters with a bunch of holidays on it stuck in a corner. Kwanzaa, well, we used to make fun of the (black) teachers that would come in acting like anyone cared about Kwanzaa. I'm pretty sure there were some Christmas carols and other events at school at some point. I honestly don't remember that well, I totally would not have been into that. So I guess Arkansas has changed, because I was years beyond school in 2015.

I suppose they could never grow enough balls to tell the speedrunning trannies no they won't check for vaccine passports and demand masks? So it just dies off instead.

I liked it, but it's been 10 years since I played it. I can't remember if there were difficulty options, but I rarely ever picked above/below a normal difficulty if that was the thing. I don't remember how many no-build missions there were, but generally on these type games I like to build up as much as I can and smack the shit out of the enemy. The building is a lot of the fun to me.

Seeing that makes me think TV watching must be absolutely dominated by women. Those all look like things I'd expect a woman to watch.

I also can't think of the last time I've had a discussion with a male friend about a TV show. Ten years ago we did talk about some shows, but I haven't heard a word about TV in years. Do men just not watch these anymore?

If you're looking to go sailing, check out that type of add-ons for Kodi. They are a bit cumbersome to use, but you can find almost anything.

If you're looking at paid services, I've had my hands in most of the legal paid "TV-channel" based services for American TV at some point. I'd probably recommend SlingTV the most, but that's because it's cheap. It's going to very much depend on what you're trying to get as to what is best for you.

If you're looking for other "IPTV" services for American channels outside the known legal ones, well those are illegal distributors and might as well just go sailing in your own boat for free at that point.

Oh yeah, my house is pretty efficient for its age. First thing I focused on after I bought it. While it's probably still a ton of my electric usage, I'm in a hot climate. I am.always shocked when I hear other people's electric bills though, I don't know how they use so much.

I'll have to ask sometime. I have a feeling that's one of those problems that seems complicated but would have some stupidly simple solution that would make me feel dumb for not thinking of it.

I have a little solar setup on an outbuilding on my property and it made me think how at the very least it would be nice for a lot of things in my house. I can run any lighting, charging, 12V DC devices as much as I reasonably want all on a system that set me back less than $500 and has been operating a number of years with zero maintenance. It worked so well I've tapped into it for some of that 12V landscape lighting as well, just because the power was available and all I needed was a simple timer to make it work.

If I ever get bored enough, I might set up something similar to run always-on network devices in the house. When you take out the high powered stuff and focus on low current DC, solar is much more realistic.

Now if I ever could figure out HVAC, because that's probably 90% of my electricity anyway.

I know an engineer that designs the blades and has worked on maintenance in the past too. They actually do use a mechanical system to regulate the speed on most modern windmills. There are brakes as well as mechanisms to adjust the pitch of the blades to gather more/less wind. If you see a bunch of windmills, watch, they are always the same speed.

The blades are mostly fiberglass and balsa wood. I'm not sure that many useful materials could be taken out of them. The posts are steel, but if I had to guess from my own industry they get abandoned in place when they are end of life. It likely costs more to decommission them than the materials are worth, and spending expense $ on such projects looks bad to pretty much any financial report for a public traded company, so it never gets done.

I'm not sure I fall into young anymore, but I'd fight for my home. Israelites can fight for theirs. Most Americans are sick of foreign war.

I'd rather not be a global empire. How about some Monroe doctrine, piss off out of our hemisphere and we will get out of yours.

If he doesn't have time to go to my fishing school, then they must mean he's using his time wisely enough to have the means to acquire his own fish. If he still can't, having used all that time up, then he can go ahead and starve.

So a random customer support peon should be fired for doing their job as was asked of them? How about fire people that made the decisions to ruin the games in the first place?
