It's really the sports games keeping them afloat, and subsidizing everything else. (Well, Sims could probably stand on its own).
From an article from early May:
“Players across Madden NFL and College Football across console and PC grew double digits and hours played were up 68%, leading to net bookings of over $1 billion dollars – up over 70% year over year.”
By contrast
Meanwhile, the three-month period also saw the launch of Split Fiction. “This incredible title overperformed our expectations, captured global attention, and to date has reached nearly four million units sold,” he added.
Split Fiction peaked at 260k concurrents on Steam, and has 96% positive reviews, so looks like it was solid. That said, 4 million sales, retail price of $50, that gives them $200 million maximum. And I guarantee that Madden cost a fraction of what Split Fiction did to make since by all reports Madden 20XX has basically been Madden 20XX-1 with the player names changed for years. But the sports game players keep buying.
Why the heck where the cops called? Even if he did get violent with it, just walk away from him, close the door and wait 5 minutes. Someone that age will calm down, get tired out, or just forget what was going on then.
In his statement, PC Smith said he was not aware that Mr Burgess was 92 or that he was a wheelchair user at the time. He said: 'I was not aware of these vulnerabilities at the time when I first encountered him, therefore they did not impact my thought process when considering the most appropriate action. 'At that time I was totally focused on the knife in his right hand.'
Dude, even if the nursing home didn't tell you that when you arrived or when they called it in, he's only got one leg! How did you not notice that when you entered the room?
Seriously, the Jedi fucking suck. Diversity was absolutely not their strength. In a way, Star Wars was accidentally based in that regard.
If we take the Knights of the Old Republic games as canon (which I do even though Disney doesn't), the exact same thing nearly happened. Just prior to the games, Revan and his lieutenants did what the council would not and ended the Mandalorian wars. And in response, the council basically disavowed (or worse) all of them and as a result nearly got wiped out then as well.
Also worth noting that they said (in their announcement video about doing CSIO) that they were going to be updating some stuff from CSIO for Modern Day(tm) sensibilities.
So they threw the crazies a bone, and have now twice tried throwing them more bones to appease them and it still probably isn't going to work because they're not launching their kickstarter until July and 2 months from now everyone will have gotten over this.
And the issue that it can easily be manipulated by the coders. "give lesser sentences to poor black men because of their circumstances" or "prioritize the mother over the father in custody cases" are things that can easily be added to the models.
Oh no! Our new game - which we are charging more for even before DLC - is running well under 50% positive reviews on Steam, and has 2/3 of the number of active players as the version that came out in 2010! (right now, SteamDB says 32.3k players for Civ6, 12.8K for Civ5 and 8.8k for Civ7).
Obviously the way to fix this problem is more ahistorical black people! Black Japanese worked so well for Ubisoft, I'm sure Black Mongol will work for us!
Looking at the fact that there's yet another runoff on May 18th, my guess is "rig the ballots and cheat as much as they possibly can in the runoff". Or just find some excuse to overturn this election and declare Simion ineligible to run.
She's not even paper smart.
Graduating cum laude is typically a B average. If you got a B average majoring in International Relations, that's mediocre at best. And there are tens of thousands of federal government interns each year, and close to a quarter of all asteroids got named after middle and high school students.
Plus, if she's so amazing, why have her only jobs been bartender and politician?
Guess it does save you some work, since you only need to add half amount of armor into the game, but if anyone has ever looked at any mod lists for basically any open world RPG, probably half of them are "sexy/skimpy/revealing/etc. armor/clothing for female characters."
And, in contrast to some of the comments in the steam discussion, yes, OG Oblivion most certainly had gendered armor
Depends on what you're looking for, but if you're mostly looking for a nostalgia trip I'd just say spin up your own to start. There's a number of repacks out there that you can just download and run on your local machine and invite your friends onto it to play with you (or just play with bots which are probably about as competent as the average WoW player - they do decently on rotations but are pretty bad at "don't stand in the fire").
Obviously that doesn't work if you're looking to have a large, vibrant community though.
Even without this absolutely unnecessary virtue signal, I'll just be over here playing my modded version of OG Oblivion that I've got in a state I like and have been quite happy with for ages. No need to give Bethesda $50 for a worse product.
Sentenced to 5 years for violating probation multiple times.
Time on probation credited toward the sentence.
How does that make any sense? If he kept violating the probation, why does it count to reduce the sentence for violating the probation?
And yet, Walsh is the least suspicious part of it. Not only with the first post, but also noticeably different wording than the others.
