I'm still pessimistic that Kari will win, because the level of corruption in the judicial system is horrific.
That it has gotten this far at least puts it into the "It could happen" slot for me. Its true that the judicial system has extreme amounts of corruption, but at least from many of the last few high profile cases, if you didnt get it in front of a judge that was blatantly partisan (see: Alex Jones), they were a lot more hesitant to just ignore things and make biased rulings. Because if they do that, it will be bad for their career, and its harder to bullshit your way through and do it.
It would take a level of corruption on par with some of the old strongholds like San Fran, Chicago, Baltimore, or DC. And as bad as Arizona is, I dont think they are that far gone.
It may still end up in a lose for Lake. But at least it will make it that much harder to pull bullshit in the future, and may help other jurisdictions be ready for the shenanigans in the future (see also: the 2021 Virginia elections learning from 2020 Fortifications).
Its also pretty much a Democrat-only opinion. Because most Normies that I know still think Musk is a pretty good guy (even with issues), and think that what he is doing with Twitter is hilarious.

So about the same place I have always been on the Left-Right axis, but a pretty significant turn toward the Liberty side axis since the last time I took one of these a few years ago.
Huh, I wonder if there was something that happened that moved me toward Liberty over Authority over the last few years...
EDIT: That said, I do agree that many of the questions were pretty biased. I have also had a distaste of the 4-way axis compass and have come to value the Eight Values axis more. Since it gives more nuance on the questions and more ways to move instead of just "Right-Left, Liberty-Authority". For that one, my results are 66% "Market"-leaning, 75% "Patriot"-leaning, 53% "Liberty"-leaning, and 54% "Tradition"-leaning. It claims the closest political ideology to that is Neo-Liberalism, which I would contest. Maybe back in the 80's, and I do indeed agree with its proponents like Reagan, Hayek, and Mises. But with what it has come to mean, I still would rather call myself a Populist Libertarian, since that is essentially what Trump and a lot of the modern dissident movement are.
I have mostly been spending my time getting caught up on anime that I was behind on, other than Spy x Family season 2 because why would I not.
The only newer one I have been watching no on your list is Eighty-Six: 86. It handles the topics of things like discrimination and bigotry in a way that Hollywood only wishes they could pull off. But then again, maybe not, because the ones discriminated against arent perfect angels themselves, and show their own bigotry back even when people are trying to help them.
The mech fights are pretty cool too, and Legion is a very interesting enemy.
On the note of the Tau, they even retconned them to be more in line with the rest of the factions.
OG Tau were the closest thing that 40k had to a "good guy", where while they had some issues, the Tau didnt really have anything screaming out that they were evil. And everyone hated that. They were already pushing it with the very clean, Gundam-esque looks, and now they have nothing evil? Where is the fun in that?!
So they got reworked to where they sterilize all non-Tau races that "join" them, their caste system is played up more to make some of them into inferiors, and they explicitly stated that the Ethereals are brainwashing everyone into compliance for their own political agendas (a la The Prophets from Halo). And that made the Tau actually more popular because they now fit better into the lore and the world.
How exactly are you going to subvert that?
GW's sins continue to be greed and incompetency with handling their product line. But compared to Woke subversion, these are preferable sins.
I am a simple man. I see Tex and the Black Pants Legion, I upvote.
Being more serious, it has been hilarious watching them lose their everloving shit over AI art. When all it will do is replace low-tier "one and done" sort of art, without touching real art. The problem is a lot of mediocre artist thought they were real artist, and are quickly finding out they are not.
Oh, you will get no complaint from me on that regard. It was just a theory, like how there is evidence that a lot of the hardcore Black Nationalist types came from the tribes that were going around enslaving the other Africans (which may be why they think they are superior).
The only solution I've seen from the degeneration of Christendom is to embrace Catholicism.
I know I might be biased on this point due to the way I lean, but its part of the whole point of Protestantism, and I find it strange that so many [for want of a better phrase] "neo-evangelicals" reject it in favor of Catholicism. They point to the fact that a lot of denominations of Protestants are just as, if not more, pozzed and in the grip of Liberation Theology than the Catholics, but that kind of misses the point.
At its most basic level, Protestantism says "When all else fails, you are your own church." Its why there are like five-hundred different Protestant faiths: "I dont like this denomination. I am going to go make my own! With blackjack and hookers! Wait..."
I have seen some stats that the average American Non-Religious individual is still more religious than most European Christians, in that they pray more often and go to church more often, they just dont have a defined church. Which tells me that the issue is not that Americans are becoming less religious. They just dont have a church they feel meets their needs. Which is probably what will spawn the 4th Great Awakening that gets brought up from time to time (since similar issues caused the 3rd)
I wonder if there is anything to do with the caste system that causes it too. Maybe some Brahmins come over here, expecting to be treated as the highborn they are. Then they discover that we dont do that here, and they get treated just like every other caste. And worse, they are even expected to work with them! Or use the same facilities as them! eewwww And so they start lashing out because this mistreatment is unbearable.
I also immediately knew it was DeMayo since he was the only other one who left.
Incidentally, he also had the same complaints as Henry in talking about how the other writers didnt respect and outright hated the source material. And it is why he instituted a rule while being the lead writer for X-Men '97 of making sure only those who respect the source material are allowed on.
The only difference here is that DeMayo says he quit while this blog says he was fired. But considering DeMayo has been consistent while the other writers have been lying repreatedly, I know who I am trusting for actual information.
Fair enough. And I will say that I have been hearing good word of mouth going around for it about how "Its a good, fun, dumb, popcorn movie", so it may well sell based on that alone.
Just pointing out that its a not great start, and in the past few years word of mouth has been the make or break of movies.
For what its worth, I saw that further clarified that the "$2B to break even" state was apparently including some of the production cost of the 3rd movie since some assets are going to be reused.
Either way, this does not bode well if the opening weekend is underperforming. He better make damn sure there is good word of mouth, because that has been the make or break for ever movie. Marvel movies get a good opening, then bad word of mouth kills following weekends. Top Gun had an ok opening, then killed it for months afterword due to good word of mouth.
From what I have managed to gather of the situation, the chain of events goes like this:
-
Musk had previously said that he would allow open usage of information, including a Twitter page that tracked his jet.
-
Some Antifa goons somehow manage to track him down on the street using info off of Twitter and start harassing him (including saying they were disappointed his kids werent there to harass as well).
-
Elon decides "Welp, so much for that" and nukes the accounts as well as getting more extreme on enforcing doxxing, as well as banning several accounts that were engaged in doxxing.
-
The journo scum come in and say "tisk, tisk, tisk Isnt it a little hypocritical of you to do this? What about free speech?" And then to "test his commitment" to free speech, they start posting his real time location on Twitter.
-
Elon says "Lol, Lmao" and starts running around with the banhammer squishing journo's.
-
Que the Leftist reeing loudly about "DAE Elon is a hypocritical Fascist!?!!? RRREEEEE"
There is something to be said for the fact that Cavill is going to be the Executive Producer. Which with him being a lore nerd, already moves it more toward the Reacher and Terminal List direction than usual Amazon stuff. But it absolutely remains to be seen.
Apparently, the rumor is that they are going to be adapting the Eisenhorn books. Which could definitely be pretty good if done right, and he would absolutely be a fit for Eisenhorn in terms of character.
Kaguya-Sama Love Is War
Not going to lie. When I first heard of it, just based on the premise, I thought I would hate it. I only watched it because some of my friends wanted to.
I am happy to say I was very wrong. It's fucking hilarious and I am glad they forced me to see it.
Oh yeah, I agree its not bad hours. I would have to slightly modify my normal life schedule, but not to an outrageous degree. And there is something to be said about the fact that I would be off work when most other people are at their jobs, so I can avoid busy hours.
EDIT: Actually, good news. As I was just finishing typing this, I saw that they sent me an email that they were going to hire me. And even on the day shift I was wanting as well.
In this case there would be no travel because they do all of their machining in-house. However, they were struggling to get second shift workers, so I told them during the interview I would be open to that as a shift. Not exactly what I want, but it could be far worse for hours (4pm-2:30am specifically).
I do feel kind of bad for him though. He thought he was going to get back playing Superman, so he tells Netflix to suck fat nards and leaves The Witcher, only for the Superman movie to be canceled.
Is this person stupid enough to believe that "white Christmas" has anything to do with skin color
Yes, yes they are. Because they always are.
If you can find an in demand manufacturing job, that can also pay good money. I am currently in talks (had the interview, trying to get a follow-up) with a local corporation to work in their machine shop building transmission cases. I may not necessarily know how to run those machines, but I did show I can do the math needed as well as work through logic problems that come with the work. Just the starting wage would be about $40k, and that is assuming no overtime (spoiler: there will be lots of overtime).
Of course, I realize that many areas may not have those sort of jobs since many local governments are hostile to them.
I half expected them to put the exhumed remains on trial for crimes against the state. Like when the Catholics exhumed a dead Pope and put him on trial for Heresy (he had opposed the new Pope as a cardinal).
They are complaining because they are so shit at their jobs that they got replaced by AI before those evil, knuckle-dragging, blue collar works got their jobs replaced.
This happens at most concerts lol.
Does it? Admittedly, I have only been to a handful of concerts in my life (most of them metal), and I have not seen anything thrown at the stage outside of minor/lightweight objects. Certainly nothing thrown at the band themselves.
Maybe it’s because people who would do that are already down in the Mosh Pit doing Mosh Pit things.
Honestly, Elon doing stuff like this lends credence to the idea that he going to be picking up Twitter HQ and taking a handpicked ring of staff with him to somewhere else (likely Texas or Florida).
This is merely him asserting dominance, telling them "you have no power here!", and preparing for that moment he leaves them to die out as he flees into the distance.
You wot m8?
I have literally never met anyone who hates Huskies. And they consider them singing the song of their people to be more of a meme to laugh at than something to be mad about.
