Why is this even something you would say to them in the first place?

I'm not familiar with Tokugawa quotes or policies, so now I'm curious- what was he right about?

Fiddly faddly fuddle

All the pirates in the world just aren't all very subtle?

Just remember- supporting the product also supports Disney. I enjoyed 1 & 2, but that was a different fucking era.

Doesn't help that 3 is apparently a complete train trainwreck of a narrative.

Peak woke?

Not yet. They could still feature Ranmaru Mori as an important character... for the purpose of tranny propaganda.

I don't exactly watch movies anymore, never exactly kept my own collection once I became an adult.

Still, I do like to keep an eye on the Flashback Cinema program, which cycles a classic movie every week in the theaters that are part of the program. I keep looking to see if Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will show up, and I did recommend it. That said, they apparently ran it March of last year, but I don't think my local theater was in the program yet.

Yeah. And unfortunately, it's one I'm probably not going to take the recommendation on. As I've said numerous times, it's not just their political and reactionary stances as narratives I'm so tired of seeing, it's political and reactionary stances as narratives period.

Political dramas can be great when they don't sound like endorsement for real politics or bashing real people. Political lectures need to burn in hell.

Remember when brutally difficult gameplay was merely a matter of "technology wasn't nearly so good at making smooth gameplay features?"

Norenia 4 points ago +4 / -0

Eh, I'd rather go with Exranzer/Ranger X.

EDIT: I didn't even know where the comparison was coming from. After looking up a video, I do now. That's not just Megaman, that's outright Demons' Souls, god knows how long before Demons' Souls was even around.

May as well also remind people insisting that he fought in Nobunaga's army what Nobunaga was known for: total massacre in his conquests, no survivors, "end the grudges before they can even begin."

Preaching to the choir at this point. And probably going to end up getting u/Kaarous old response to me some time ago becoming a copypasta.

The sole argument for the existence of Yasuke is the Jesuit chronicles of their missions to Japan. Which were filled with nonsense and aren't taken seriously by most Catholics. Several of them were bloating their accounts in hopes of a bishopric.

Nobunaga never mentioned him in his own writings. Which given that Nobunaga would write poems about pretty much anything he laid eyes on, suggests that the two never met. The sole corroborating account stated that one of the missionary priests had a black servant, and they presented him as a curiosity to Nobunaga's court, but there is evidence of nothing else.

Here's another strain on historical credulity. Supposedly Yasuke fought for Nobunaga as a samurai. One of the claims is that he spoke fluent Japanese.

The time period between when they supposedly met and when Nobunaga was assassinated by Akechi Mitsuhide was... three months.

A black guy from what would now be Morocco, probably a slave to the priests, and someone whose language skills would have included mostly broken Portuguese, supposedly learned the second most difficult language on earth in three months. For reference, Japanese has three goddamn formal alphabets.

There is nothing about the story that is historically credible. There is more evidence of Santa Claus than there is of Yasuke. Now if you want a Japanese historical figure that is actually interesting and actually real, I suggest Honda Tadakatsu. He's a real life Hercules.

Now that I think about it, I think Far Cry: Blood Dragon did that too. I'm pretty sure I started it once a long time ago, but the last time I tried booting it up, UbiSoft launcher requiring account.

I even have accounts to some of these, and I don't want to use them anymore. I was okay doing the PlayStation account link when I played the Steam version of Spider-Man, since the account at least existed. It got bonuses, and it really didn't do anything after that. I had Helldivers 2 on my wishlist for a bit until all that shit went down. I want to put Ghost of Tsushima on my wishlist, but I'm not entirely sure where things are going with the account link thing with that game.

I've wanted to try Titanfall 2, never having heard anything bad about the game whatsoever, but that requires an EA account. I actually picked up LA Noire, only to find that has a third-party launcher requirement. The choice of games to put this shit on is getting irritating.

If you have Switch, Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition (NOT Age of Calamity) is my favorite Warriors/Musou game.

For being mostly controlling a single main character (compared to stuff like Dynasty Warriors with bloated casts), I'd say so. Each stance has its own combos and effects:

  • Earth Stance: Defense and Counterattacks

  • Water Stance: Swift, wide sweeping attacks

  • Wind Stance: Ranged magical attacks, advantageous against demons

  • Fire Stance: Full-on strength, increases in power the less HP you have

  • Void Stance: Inhumanly-fast Iaito, its pace can only be maintained as long as you have high HP

And then there's all sorts of gemcraft magic and the Servants you have fighting alongside you, allowing you to (for a short time), play as a different character. Like all Musou games, it'll mostly be simple fodder enemies; it's the leaders, greater demons, and opposing Servants you have to play skillfully against.

How do you feel about Musou? Fate/Samurai Remnant was a pretty decent character-driven game that used the Omega Force combat style, bonus if you're a fan of the TypeMoon franchise.
