Gonna have to disagree; Homeschooling has been seen on the left as just shy of 'cult indoctrination' for, well, decades. They've always pushed against it, mumbling something about 'poor socialization outcomes' and drooling on about 'interacting with other kids' while somehow ignoring all the abuse most nerds and geeks suffer when in the typical high school.

Funny. Almost as if they were never part of that group to begin with...

What changed was the ease and availability of home schooling. For all it's ills, the internet and electronic communication means there's a plethora of teaching resources on-hand that are easy to get and often more superior than what you'll learn in-class as most schools as long as you apply yourself. (Both parent-wise and kid-wise).

The moment this tool becomes something valuable more conservative-leaning parents can utilize to get away from government indoctrination cued the more outspoken and virulent screeching from the typical leftists. It's just more obvious and vocal now because it's now a lot easier to pull off.

Which is a good thing. If I ever have kids, I know I'm going to be very hesitant to put them in any public school.

People whom are already blatantly primed to ignore rules and normal civilized behavior are willing to commit illegal and violent acts?

Say it ain't so.

Teachers have a vastly over-inflated sense of self-importance. Hence all the bullshit they pull off.

Plus, it's almost impossible to get teachers fired. Being a teacher is seen as a life-time appointment with no chance of loosing it. Ever. The moment there's even a whiff of government activity that suggests teaching might loose funding, they go completely political and paint their opponent as a heartless devil.

School systems tend to be utter clusterfucks, from top to bottom.

There are times I wonder if all this screeching is just them shouting their sexual fetishes to the high heavens and hoping someone takes them up on it.

But that would be crazy, right?

They don't break it down further; they explicitly state what they meant and say so time and time again.

It's the part that drives me nuts - do any deep dive on what the various political commentary was by various thinkers of the time, and the idea that the Founding Fathers meant 'military' when they said 'militia' is absolutely insane. Several of them call out that militia meant 'everyone EXCEPT the government', and proudly touted the idea that a standing military was just short of tyranny.

Hell, some of Thomas Jefferson's commentary on the matter could literally be written as 'Sports are Gay, Gun is best, go innawoods and be awesome.'

Back when I was in college, I saw plenty of courses offering on military history and local history, but not once did I see anything regarding the founding fathers and the 2nd amendment. I wish I had, but any professor that would have tried such would have been lynched in quick order, I bet.

Hell, I would have been satisfied on a course on the Federalist Papers alone, or the political environs of the American Revolution. Instead, we get courses on Harry Potter and Second Life. Bah.

Language changes. (Or in Torvald's case, devolved.) 'Well regulated' just means 'well equipped' in modern parlance.

Any attempt to try and claim this means 'Only the mitliary dur hur hur' should be met with 'Tell me you've never opened a history book in your fucking life without telling me'.

Mock them ceaselessly for being idiots. Heckle them for their lack of knowledge. People like this completely abhor being considered less intelligent than they think they are. It's why their go-to insults involve declaring conservatives to some variant of 'dumb'.

My personal take: Businesses are all about grow grow grow grow grow(driven by people in charge of sales, because they want more money.)

Now, if you stop and think about it for five fucking seconds, this makes no goddamn sense. Market saturation is a thing, niche markets are a thing, and there's only so many people to sell stuff too.

This is where propaganda comes in. The same people driving sales likely fall into the propaganda trap of thinking that all the mentally deranged sexual deviants really do make up over twenty percent of the population(or more). Hey, twenty percent, that's alot of market to sell to!

Except they don't exist. They never have. But they don't know that, because they don't live in reality - they live in a curated zoo surrounded by freaks and suffer from a twisted selection bias.

So we get this.

And as much as I like their food, I hope Cracker Barrel fucking burns for this.

Yeah, not going to lie, the fact that it was a black guy looking the way he does saying all this made me raise an eyebrow.

But, hey, I was trying to be nice.

'aN opInion iSN'T OnE ThInG yoU woUld HAvE hAd'

Riddle me this, Batman - which gender was the one that was virulently pushing toward prohibition?

Men try to tax Whiskey and we damn near have a civil war. Women want alcohol gone, and we get a fucking constitutional amendment. I'm going to suggest that women had far more social power for the majority of human history than you retarded midwits try to claim.

Personal opinion: Retarded takes like this fucking idiot are just desperate attempts to try and deny the obvious - that things were very much different for the time, and some people are going to find that difference appealing.

(Also personal opinion: She looks hella cute and really great in that dress.)

I mean, you start a gumbo by making a roux(IE, gravy), and it's easy to make gravy out of bacon grease, so... yeah? Wouldn't be my first option, but why not?

Once read elsewhere that women's attempted suicide is to act out in a dramatic fashion as a cry for help.

A man's attempted suicide is to quietly stare at a loaded gun for an hour before putting it away.

I have a feeling the numbers are alot worse, are always in men's 'favor', and we'll never really know the whole picture barring some omniscient narrator.

I fucking hate that comic.

Never have I seen a more blatant 'masks off' moment that people somehow parade around like it's a good thing to aspire too.

As some people are so fond of saying, actions have consequences.

In a perfect world, the most this sanctimonious fuck would have to worry about would be the child's family punching him the fuck out for being a rude piece of shit. But we don't live there, and it's foolish to pretend we do.

Their rules, applied fairly, so they get to deal with the internet lynch mobs.

Just pick up 'Elric: Song of the Black Sword' and run from there.

Moorcock has been writing long enough that his stuff has influenced alot of things you'll see in 'modern day' sci-fi and fantasy. Two low-hanging fruits; The concept of Chaos that Moorcock wrote about influenced Warhammer to a heavy degree, and people still rag on The Witcher for having the nickname 'White Wolf'. (Hint: He wasn't the first character with that nom de gurre).

Moorcock has written a shit-ton of stuff, and some of it's hit or miss, but people consider the things he wrote 'classics' for a reason, even if they're not all that old. So, yeah, I'd recommend them.

Don't go into his stuff expecting Tolkien, though.

A series they fucked up so badly that they had to come running back to David Tennet in an attempt to try and save their sorry asses and retcon-but-not-really all their mistakes.

Don't think it worked, though.

History books have been trying to assign the blame to slavery to America almost exclusively for decades, for alot of reasons.

Almost twenty million africans were taken out of Africa as slaves(but only 3 to 6 % of them went to North America.)

Try researching about slavery in Central and South America and you'll find almost nothing(despite lasting alot longer, starting in the 1600s). Talk about the Arabic slave trade, and maybe you'll find more.

There's also the awkward question of 'Well, where did the slaves go, then?' The answer being, they basically worked them all to death(or gelded them and then worked them to death), which leads to the other awkward question of 'Wait, why does North America still have slave descendants around, then?'

Well, because, guess what - while still slavery, Southern slave owners treated their slaves alot nicer than others. Let them breed, let them have families, grow and sell their own crops, allowed for manumission...

But we can't have that discussion, can we? Gotta sell that propaganda...

If being a racist and a nazi means I don't have to put up with this unmitigated bullshit from wizard of the coast and brain-dead woke NPCs like Leavitt get mobbed off of twitter...

...whelp, being a racist and a nazi sounds really nice right about now.

I'm sure some retarded motherfucker is out there, already explaining about how whitewashing in this instance is perfectly justified.

I hate this timeline.

Part of it is Midwit-hype driven by journalists and some people whom give the illusion of being very, very smart, yet still think 'AI' is basically 'fucking magic'.

Doesn't mean I won't smile in twisted delight at watching various twitter artists screeching about AI artwork, though.

That scene between him and Quark has to be one of the best scenes in all of Star Trek, and they basically did it as filler. Goddamn.

Morrowind.

I want to see people's reaction to the Dunmer's habit of slavery and keeping plantations despite it being blatantly illegal.

You get a flood of people from failed and/or fucked-up countries without considering as to why they're fucked-up to begin with, and are surprised when they act like sub-human refuse?

Surprising, I suppose. For some people. As for me, I'm sick and tired of certain people trying to turn my country into a foreign one.

And despite being a shitty, over-powered character that beaks the setting, they still had no issue having his shit get utterly wrecked as need be. Which atleast puts him one-up on Rey.

Otherwise, that entire discussion about how Star Wars fans somehow don't like female characters beings badasses is just pathetic normies trying to wear being a Star Wars fan as a skinsuit, now that it's the cool new thing.

I fucking hate this timeline.

'men are never sexualized in the same way' - confirmed for never reading a female romance novel in her entire goddamn life.

Oh, who the hell am I kidding. She probably has, and doesn't care, she's just using it as an excuse to harass and annoy men with the hope that someone finally slaps her face clean off and she finally has a taste of physical violence she can recall and masturbate too later.

There was a fairly in-depth video on youtube I watched a while ago that went into a pretty deep dive on exactly what birth control does to a woman's body.

My overall reaction was along the lines of 'What the flying fuck. You couldn't pay me to take this shit, and people do so on the regular? What the fuck.'

Yeah - I get there are women who take it due to reasonable medical reasons and moderate thier bodies hormones, but still. What the flying fuck.
