I hate to nitpick but games are dead. At least AAA games. There are some outliers but the baseline is garbage at this point.

It’s fake. The “source” is also selling advertising for only fans. She could be making good money but you pretty much have to assume the dollar amount is at least slightly misrepresented.

The mills jovovich movies aren’t far off of the tone of the more recent games imo. The second one was the only one that really stunk

Holy shit it’s actually genius! Sidesteps any “hasbro doesn’t respect minority characters” Twitter narrative without having to waste money on producing a bunch products nobody wants. Even Star Wars fans have a limit.

It actually is a really good book. Like it’s obviously a bit of a feminist story, but it’s told completely sincerely. No girl power shit, a lot of the villains are other sadistic women, and none of the ridiculously hard to believe elements from the tv show like her husband and old roommate running in to each other in Canada happen.

SPOILERS* ultimately a man saves her (probably, the book doesn’t make it clear) and in the epilogue we find out the whole story was like a lecture in a history class and the students kinda laugh off the crazy handmaid era. Super optimistic in a way, and really antithetical to the everything is the end of the world vibe in leftist Internet spaces

Marketing. Polls are fake and this is a nice way for the NYT to turn to its dumber readers and say “you aren’t one of those dumb people that disapprove of Biden, are you?”

The original was actually a decent game and the character was actually a like legally-blonde esque Mary Sue type iirc, but it wasn’t annoying because she was funny.

They’re going to ruin this but I wonder if they’ll just tone down her outfit or if someone will convince them that what people really liked was the main character’s like “dunking” on the audience for assuming she’s a bimbo or whatever. This could end up being just awful really fast

To be fair, the guy had one or two videos that were a lot edgier than his bodega take and I think that’s why he was actually fired. Like he was mostly publicly canceled for the bodega video alone, and that’s super lame, but I remember seeing one about him wearing an naacp shirt because he was the only white guy at the gym and one more that I can’t remember. I personally don’t think he should have been fired for them but they’re not videos I would’ve made public either.

Feels like this was pulled out of 2008. Crazy what Reddit has turned in to

So is this real? Everything I saw said it was a “leaked clip” but then I saw that baymax is a real show so I’m not sure

Imagine a world where critics prefer something like ms marvel over over something as comparatively innovative as wandavision. I’m tired of the mcu and haven’t watched either show, but if you buy the premise that these are still worth paying attention to the point still stands

Dude. Netflix is confirmed woke and anything produced for or by them has wokeness injected in to it. It’s not a conspiracy theory at this point, you can test it by watching anything they’ve made after like 2014. Even honest normies will acknowledge it at this stage. I’m honestly a little sad they snuck that by you and got your hopes up for one piece.

We corporatized fields that had no business being treated like corporations. I’m sure that whoever’s the equivalent of a middle manager is for the cops will get a horrendous performance review. Then life will just go on.

That's market manipulation?

It actually is. They’d call it a “pump and dump scam” and it’s apparently illegal

I read a couple of his books but I hate him. The movies are all obviously amazing but a lot of his stories are way too weird to the point they don’t even really make sense. It could just be cope because I can’t follow his highbrow sci-fi themes or something, but they just feel dated in a way that a lot of other good books in the genre don’t.

and actually do something

They’re not actually doing anything though. All the cringey marching is just the white conservative equivalent of looting a Nike store.

In the trailer it looked like Chris Pratt is splitting his role as the male lead with some lady too

The reality is that it’s impossible to push back on these things in a professional setting. No matter how calm or measured the response, if you’re an executive or management type involved in this stuff you immediately expose yourself to a discrimination lawsuit once it goes on your record. You’ll never be able to deliver anything but positive feedback to a gay employee (and that’s your job as a manager) lest they accuse you of something and everyone believes it because you’re that guy “with the history” because you canceled pride whatever.

I mean in reality you’d probably be fine, but the risk isn’t zero. Alternatively, even if you tank the company you’re just a hero that stood up to the Nazis or whatever.
