Considering that Taco Bell is hosting drag shows, I wonder if this is all coming from their parent company Yum! brands. We should keep an eye out to see if KFC does anything similar.

I think it's demoralization. They are lording the fact that they can do this to our children, and that we are powerless to stop them.

It's the signs of a deeply sick and dying society, and I mean that unironically.

The reality is that it’s impossible to push back on these things in a professional setting. No matter how calm or measured the response, if you’re an executive or management type involved in this stuff you immediately expose yourself to a discrimination lawsuit once it goes on your record. You’ll never be able to deliver anything but positive feedback to a gay employee (and that’s your job as a manager) lest they accuse you of something and everyone believes it because you’re that guy “with the history” because you canceled pride whatever.

I mean in reality you’d probably be fine, but the risk isn’t zero. Alternatively, even if you tank the company you’re just a hero that stood up to the Nazis or whatever.

You are right. It's very difficult for executives to resist these people. They use virtue-signaling to get their way. You are a bigot if you don't go along.

They can't help but hire ideological management. Applicants come like that right out of college. Then they push and conspire for this stuff every hour, every day.

Do they want to lose?

Accelerating only harms the accelerator, unless they unironically want a resurgence in the right wing.

Communism isnt their goal, its used to attract useful idiots and is completely unattainable.

I wonder if this is all coming from their parent company Yum! brands.

I think we're well past the point where it matters. They're either responsible for it or they're looking the other way and complicit in it.

I think people should point the finger at the parent company and its executives when shit like this happens. Don't just blame Twitch, blame Amazon and Jeff Bezos.

Pizza Hut is hard to boycott, their pizza is mediocre and overpriced for the quality.

Yeah, saw the title and was thinking "I don't eat their pizza anyway, so..." I think the last time I bought Pizza Hut was at a concert vendor.

In fact half the time I see these boycotts it's some shit I already refuse to buy.

It may just be nostalgia, but I remember Pizza Hut being pretty good in the 90s.

Back when they had the open salad bar Pizza Hut was quality. Sadly Yum! acquired them back in the early 2000s and that was the start of their decline.

Just how it goes with Yum!, see what they did to Taco Bell, KFC and Wingstreet for other examples.

It costed me 80 bucks (very modest tip included) a few months ago before inflation went insane to pick up the tab for a buddy's order of one pizza, garlic bread, a few pounds of boneless wings and a 2L pop.
