We know they take every issue and pretend it's the end of democracy, but this is especially unhinged. It's a fucking renovation project on part of the White House and yet they're reacting as if Trump dropped a nuke on D.C.
Saying things like, "This is a desecration that strikes at the soul of our nation" and even somehow claiming it's an insult to the military?? What the fuck lmao
And it isn't just one or two libs. The marching orders clearly went out because everyone is commenting on this.
The whole thing is funded privately so they can't even claim it's a waste of taxpayer money. They're just showing pictures of the first stage of the project and pretending that it won't be built into something newer and better. "This is what you'd expect to see if we were attacked by a hostile foreign enemy."
Just completely unhinged stuff.
Have you forgotten that a kid got hounded like the worst person in the whole world for smiling at an Indian?
He was standing there! Menacingly!
It's not like it's without precedent that our opponents are retards...
Malicious, not retarded. They know exactly what they're doing and they know it's effective
Again, words are magic spells.
And they work on the retarded
That's why this chimp out is actually quite boring. It's like they've run out of ideas.
It's no longer about winning, it's about saving face and not appear as a tired defeated loser. The irony is that their blind rage makes it more obvious.
It's even more stupid as Trump made his money in real estate so KNOWS construction and getting the best deal and value so unlike Obama's library, this'll probably be used for a century.
You mean Obama's brutalist ivory tower? Seems very appropriate to his legacy.
I hear it's cracking apart. Just like his image LOL
They're just mad cause they won't easily be able to erase his legacy from our collective memory cause that new construction will be there long after he's gone. And if they tear it down, everyone will know it's cause they're spiteful assholes.
It’s 50% this, at least. The other 50% is a desperate attempt to deflect from the ongoing government shutdown.
They love the shutdown because they can blame it on the Republicans even though it's objectively their fault. They can simply lie and most people will believe them because the average person does not think.
They're just worried that the renovations might discover the Obamas' Diddy room and the Biden Crack House.
Diddy's freak offs don't hold a candle to the shit he did with Barry and Mike.
Yeah.
Collected links so far on the stupidity
Lots of people angry that the white house is getting an expansion by do actions. Meanwhile Gavin Newsom is doing the same to the entire California Capitol with tax payers money and in secrecy.

Here's Hilary Clinton being angry

Stephen King complained about it by calling Donald Trump a war dodger. The reporter points out that King protested the Vietnam war and refused to be drafted.

A small benefit of the Boomers dying out is dipshits won't be able to cast the "draft dodger" spell.
The new counter for "Draft dodger!" is pretty funny. "Draft dodger? Naw, I'm a 'I will not die for israel' sorta guy".
The next generation gives me hope.
King actually said armed forces fought for the image of the White House. First, how the fuck would he know? Second, not one person fought to protect the physical profile of the Executive Mansion. Thirdly, why couldn't that van double back and make sure they finished King off?
He had to finish the Dark Tower first.
That said, I'm watching some made for TV movies by King and it is very liberal.
Heh I hadn't seen that reply to Stephen King. Good stuff.
Quick, get Canada to burn it down again, I'm sure that will do wonders for their morale.
The USA really turned that L into a W, ultimately. So I don't see the "shame" that people seem to be trying to inspire when it is brought up. Like, yeah, "The War of 1812" song is silly and catchy, sure, but the governing house of the USA used to be red. The burning inspired the white coloration, and inspired a simple but effective name known across the entire world. You can say "White House" in Mongolia, Japan, or Poland, and despite them not knowing the words for "White" or "House", not even their language, they still know exactly what you're talking about.
they act like it's never been done before, either
Even though the OLDEST part of the current White House dates to... FDR's second term. Between FDR and Truman, the entire White House was remodeled/gutted and rebuilt at least once.
All that plumbing and wiring had to be shoved in somewhere.
The exact same people who don't mind foreign/spiritually foreign communists tearing down statues and monuments pitching huge screaming fits about White House renovations would be funny if they weren't all genuinely, dangerously insane.
It's really insane, the journos and libs are going apeshit about it even here where I am - an ocean away in the middle of Europe. Absolutely apoplectic. These people are fundamentally broken.
I don't give one iota of a damn how outraged progressives are. It is all performative, every bit of it, and the only thing I want to do in response is send them all to the guillotine.
I think they're just trying to agitate RINOs and boomers. Regressives presently have very few options to broaden appeal for democrats. The government shutdown doesn't seem to be hurting republicans much (yet?), if at all. They're throwing out all kinds of pictures lately to drive at "normal" American values. ICE striking a "Catholic priest" or arresting the comically overweight WGN "journalist," Antifa and their "peaceful inflatable costume dance parties," Bush Jr's former chef or whatever getting deported, and the recent "No Kings" BS.
It's doubly funny, since he's been talking about doing this, since at least half a year. And there was not a peep from the left until the new NPC update came out.
They somewhat have a point in that historical and monumental facades of buildings are typically protected and he's tearing one down in order to connect the ballroom to the main house.
Less of a point in that said "historical" facade is only, like, 50 years old.
The east wing is a few decades old and isn't a monument nor is it historically protected in any way, so no they don't have somewhat of a point.
