Let's see, who would be lying?

A: Gaben, a figure beloved by (b?)millions worldwide for bringing a (mostly) reasonable storefront for online games.

B: Moneychangers, people who have been known THROUGHOUT RECORDED HISTORY to lie, cheat, and steal.

Time to get regulated, bitch.

And no, regulation requiring adherence to the free market is not “muh regulation”.

I'm so glad the right-wing rank and file has come around to not allowing companies to abuse their monopoly position.

Unfortunately, conservative politicians are still in the pocket of these people.

You think the right-wing rank and file should defend companies abusing their monopoly/oligopoly position?

It is. It's about the only kind of regulation there should be.

These specific payment processors and cc companies exist because finance is one of the top govt. regulated industries, in past and present times. If only laws related to "don't commit fraud", there'd be 100s of better banks and finance companies to choose from. We can put a bandaid regulation requiring payment processors to enforce no more than the law, but the unfavorable status quo won't be solved.

God fucking dammit. This is stupider than most of your retarded jew hate.

MasterCard writes the fucking regulations. Regulations don't exist to benefit you, it benefits them by protecting them from competition.

Banks and Credit Card companies are the most heavily regulated industries in the world. If regulation worked, we wouldn't be here. The monopoly is one that they built BECAUSE of the regulation not in spite of it.

If you want to pass a law, you need to pass a Constitutional Amendment for financial freedom that restricts both them and the government from colluding to do what they are doing.

And they did the WORST thing when they are effectively being raided by gamers:

Responded showing that their actions had an effect.

From what I heard from insiders, endlessly calling them is having a greater effect than they want to admit and some websites are already moving to re introduce adult content smelling blood in the water. I think this WAS the plan to bring this in but like a lot of things, they brought it in too early and now they fucked it up.

They probably assumed that if they focused on the most degenerate looking porn games, nobody would be willing to go to bat for them and look like a loser. Which is often a working strategy, but too many debanked people all took note of it and rallied people to the cause, making the porn aspect become a forgotten detail in showing just how powerful and unfettered these companies are.

Its a great example of showing how the "killing them softly" approach a lot of the Left/Elite use is going to backfire on them. Because they rely on debanking/cancelling/etc to just "kill off" their opponents and assume they will just either fall in line or disappear.

Instead it leaves a lot of tenacious guys with axes to grind and a lot of hate in thier heart for you. Guys whose hate bleeds into passion that is like a beacon to many others, and can bring them together to form an actual mass with some threat behind it.

Your insiders are wrong. All you have, at best, is a delaying tactic that they can overcome with sheer will.

You need to de-bank.

Just so stupid. Who in the world thinks that MasterCard's brand is being 'damaged' because Steam sells some stupid game and allows you to pay with MasterCard?

NO ONE honest does, it's only an excuse the payment processors are doing to do what they WANTED to do.

They hoped this way, only the feminist idiots would be targeted but the gamers quickly looked past them and hit the payment processors despite their plan.

Kind of like half-KiA, no?

Halfkia was slightly different, since the schism was intentional. Bane and Shaddist were trying to run us all off well before the vote happened.

The schism started well before Bane and Shad took control. Even before the David fiasco they tried to literally ban anyone who posted on T_D, because they didn't want to be associated with any dirty Right wingers in their "actually totally Leftist" revolt.

I can't remember a time when there wasn't a schism.

Honestly there was plenty of friction immediately between those who came from Twitter (like Hat and the TIA folks) and guys like me who came from 4chan because it was getting banned off /b/ there and wouldn't have been caught dead on reddit otherwise.

That was probably the original "disillusioned Leftie versus Right wing memester" schism that would go on to be repeated each time.

I find it funny that card processors haven’t really been flexing their muscles that much till the past few years. They can act as their own judge jury and executioner with impunity.

You first consolidate your monopoly position. Then, when no one can challenge your oligopoly, you exercise your power.

Would make zero difference if they, and everyone else, did. He's probably never spent money himself in his entire life and even if he had nothing he still wouldn't have to.

Technically, they are correct with all companies but Valve. Mastercard and Visa didn’t tell the companies directly to stop selling games on their platform. They just told the processors they can’t do any business with companies that sell certain NSFW games.

However, Valve is their own card processor and owns a secondary subsidiary company to also process cards. In this rare case, they are telling Valve to stop selling some NSFW games.

Mastertard was okay with processing payments for child abuse content on onlyfans and handling payments from paypal for slave markets in Libya. They have no 'brand' to protect.
