I've never seen a data set that shows women valuing men higher than men value women. Literally every single one portrays women as selfish, entitled, and arrogant. They demand higher income, taller, better physical shape, cars, houses, all on top of having their personal lives paid for in the form of dinners, bills, vacations, shopping trips, and even their tuition payments. What is men's equivalent of doing that? Weight? Age? Is there anything else as consistent? Women have enhanced their economic value at the cost of their romantic value, and are doing the Spider-man 2 train meme trying to hold onto both.
That singular Plenty of Fish graph where men rated women as average and women rated men as 2's-4's has stood unblinking in the face of endless excuses and accusations. Until men can sort by bodyweight the way that women can sort by height, everything else is just womoaning.
I rest my case.

It's from about 10 years ago before society and the dating scene was as broken, so if anything women today probably rate men even lower.

Hahahaha. That’s basically it. Guys ask for so little now and they don’t even get it. I meet and beat that description of what girls want, and at this point with most girls, I wouldn’t even see the point of dating them. 50 years ago, I don’t think anyone could have fathomed that women would get to the point that they’re actively offering men nearly nothing, and then surprised and lashing out when guys finally nope their way out of the dating scene.
Most women now are not nice, do not want to have kids or start a family, don’t want to be a good companion, don’t want to and can’t contribute financially, and are more expensive than ever. What’s the point of women in dating in that context?
Total inversion of truth. Men have little to no standards and will fuck anything with a hole in it, while a woman can be 500 lbs with fetal alcohol syndrome yet still demand a 6'4 executive banker for a boyfriend.
Times are changing somewhat, and maybe this survey and the amount of sex gen z are notoriously not having are starting to show it.
Teenage hormones will still have young guys doing stupid things to dip their wick... But only once. I've seen a couple young guys experience modern women for the first time and become entirely disillusioned immediately after, turning almost mgtow without the label or at least demanding a lot from any woman before they would consider dating them.
And good for them, most of the women in their peer groups are useless slobs who can't even support themselves and have all the consideration and compassion of a rusty nail, they aren't worth a damn in anyone's life.

Back in the heyday of bodybuilding.com's misc, someone made a plenty of fish profile with a ~250 pound woman who had photoshopped stubble and a pig nose. They also said the woman had a penis looking growth on her leg. The miscer then posted screen shots of the replies from would be suitors flowing in. Most were obviously mentally deficient, but quite a few were normal looking dudes. I think dating apps have massively skewed an already out of balance dynamic between men and women leading to women mistaking a guy who wants to have casual sex for their actual dating market. Men who don't check certain boxes favored on the apps become disillusioned over the whole process and opt out.

Plenty of men who marry their highschool and college sweetheart who have never been with anyone else. And if my coworkers are a reasonable sample, who have simply opted out of dating entirely lately.
Happiest people I know in terms of romantic relationships married their HS or college sweetheart. They basically avoided dating entirely.
Everything people are taught in America otherwise is completely wrong.
The ones that could lower their standards switched to AI chat bots, women on there are just THAT unappealing.

It would be a riot if we all got together and collectively ignored all women at around a 7 or higher on all dating apps and websites. Just lock them out of the market completely, forcing them to lower THEIR standards and start looking at guys at lower levels just to get responses.
It would never work, but for a day or so it would be hilarious.
It's usually the 7 and below that are the nastiest. The 8's and above have always been treated nice by men and never had to prove anything, so most of them don't have a crazy ego.

If the "findings" actually support the headline, then this message is addressed to the top 20% of men that women fight over. The bottom 80% can still kick rocks.
The most hilarious thing to me as one of those 20%, is that this paradigm is so shit I've literally been celibate by choice for the past decade, while I dedicate myself to purging this insanity from society, so people actually recognize that there's a lot more to it than just picking sexy pictures on your phone.
Relationships aren't about sex for men. For men, relationships are largely about loyalty, as they're seeking to form a family which can hold together against the relentless waves of entropy rocking society. Basically, the entire concept of dating apps is antagonistic to men's romantic ideals, so of course they only find the worst of the worst there.
Good men reject the very concept of dating apps these days. If you're looking for men on a dating app, you're going to be getting pretty much exclusively the type of men who think having binders full of women is a sexy idea.
When every woman thinks of herself as a 10, of course they have "lower" standards than men.
What they mean is that men need to stop rejecting obese single moms with a mixed race kid.
Men are pretty forgiving about looks. It's rare that I see a couple where the man isn't dating down, at least physically.
The issue is women's personalities. Men accept that there is a financial, as well as time cost to be with a woman but the constant nagging, bitchiness, mood swings, unreliability and the parenting grown adults that men have to put up with just isn't worth it.
Then women truly believe the opposite of all these things- morbidly obese, bumpy faced women think they are the prize and men are the ones with the personality issues.
Men will go out with uggos or hippos as long as she isn't a problem but it seems even the uggos and untouchables won't shut the fuck up.

Guarantee this study is looking at lurkers who made a male profile just to look with no interest in dating.
They could be single men, they could be married men, they could be women. Used to have male and female lunch buddies who would do this as a pass time to make fun of profiles.
