I am silly!

Do they not understand what a false dichotomy is?

The left panel is the result of the gradual increase in prices due to relentless inflation caused by the Biden administration.

The right panel is a market Force tied directly to The Purge that they recently made due to the bird flu scare, before Trump made it to office.

Nah cause under Trump you'd be allowed to raise your own chickens to get YOUR eggs yourself.

All you need to do is look at how the establishment targeted the Amish to know they don't want you having control over your own food.

I thought we need to wait 4 years to see the impacts of the president on the economy. That's what they said when Trump was in charge the first time, and when Biden was in charge: All the bad stuff under Biden was delayed reaction to Trump policies, and all the good economy under Trump was just Obama. So why say now that this is Trump work?

I know these were all rhetorical questions, but I'll answer anyway because why not.

they have no consistency, no convictions, and no doctrine. they simply exist in an endless present where the party is always right.

The definition of fucking projection.

This is literally the only behavior regarding economics that the Left has ever engaged in. Why are communists giving me the Libertarian arguments against tariffs as if we have a free market?

I wonder why eggs haven't miraculously dropped in price in just 4 days, I wonder what happened in the last few months that could still be affecting such things?

https://communities.win/c/TheDonald/p/19AKKHK15A/biden-killed-18million-chickens-/c

biden killed 18million chickens in December, 14m in Jan and now the democult is all hurr durr Trump hasn't lowered the costs of eggs yet durr

AKA Orange Man [Still] Bad

Also this,

https://communities.win/c/TheDonald/p/19AKKGDocS/democrats-are-trying-to-blame-bi/c

Democrats are trying to blame Biden’s high egg prices on Trump. It didn’t work out so well for them

The tweet:

BREAKING: Under DRUMPF Donald Trump's leadership, egg prices in the United States have hit an all time high

The community note:

US Bureau of Labor and Statistics has just released data for December pricing on Jan 15. December, is before the start of Trump's term.

So continuing to blame Trump for things Biden caused, as will likely be the standard for the whole term since that happened with the ICE cages last time time. Remember those? Build by Obama, blamed on Trump, never heard of again during Biden?

Obviously it's Greedflation™ and Big Egg™ Price-Gouging™ the price of eggs. Or does that horseshit only work when a (D) is in office?

permalink save report block reply

It's literally the opposite. I have seen countless lefties commenting on posts about deportations, getting trannies out of men's prisons, etc whining "how does this lower the price of eggs" when they didn't care under Brandon.

I saw an unironic post the other day complaining that housing was too expensive because of greedy realtors.

Their solution was to outlaw commissions and "put the real estate agents on salary".

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 8 ▼
– HallucinatoryBeing 8 points 1 year ago +8 / -0

Real estate agents are glorified tard wranglers. They exist to make sure their clients sign all the paperwork, show up to appointments, and don't do anything stupid. They don't price anything aside from their own commissions, of which you can haggle with them regardless.

If housing is "too expensive", it's either a) people who will gladly pay list price, or b) the agent didn't do his job showing comps or setting expectations and let the client get away with it because "I know what I got" (which you probably don't want this guy's house anyway with that attitude).

Their solution was to outlaw commissions and "put the real estate agents on salary".

You want Pajeet agents? That's how you get Pajeet agents.

It was just so leftist-coded.

"The economy is doing things I don't like. The government should ban private industry and treat everyone like a civil servant."

Like who the fuck do they actually think is going to be paying the salary?

A lot of realtors are independent contractors/small businesses.

Even the ones who work for a bigger brand are in a "eat what you kill" environment.

Do they expect homebuyers to be fronting the weekly salary of their realtor until they find you/sell your house?

Is the is in, why is eggs so expensive, grammatically correct? I would use are, why are eggs so expensive?

▲ 6 ▼

Both are technically correct because "eggs" can function both as a quantity of egg which would be plural and as a commodity called "eggs" in which case it's singular.

Compare:

"Why is milk so expensive?" (This carton of milk is expensive) With "Why are these milks so expensive?" (Nut milks are more expensive than cow milk)

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 2 ▼
– SR388-SAX 2 points 1 year ago +2 / -0

But that's not how it was worded in the cartoon.

The cartoon specifically used incorrect grammar because "MAGAts are stupid." Or the author is stupid.

You use singular verbs for things that aren't count-able. You use plural verbs for things that are. You can't "count" milk, you can only measure it, that's why you don't say "why are milks so expensive." Your example only sort of works because you've replaced "milk" with a discrete countable thing: types of milk. You're no longer talking about quantity of milk.

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– Theacefospades 1 point 1 year ago +1 / -0

So you're incorrect.

I didnt say anybody would talk like that. Just that they're correct. I'm sure they did it to be insulting, but in a way it's worse on the author as they've still written gramatically correct sentence.

"Why is eggs so expensive" is as gramatically correct as "Why is oil so expensive" and the same way that "you (sigular) is" iaccurate.

Plus you can absolutely count milks as a discrete quantity depending on context, if you say go to the store and get three milks or 2 milks from the cooler, meaning is perfectly clear. You could even say "go to the store and get a milk" which while again sounds awkward is no less correct than "get a soda" or "get me a juice"

Again, the reason the author used it is because that version of pseudo southern dialect which is actually just misisipi and ebonics is what Yankess consider all southern accents to be.

But it's still gramatically accuracte.

If you live somewhere it's legal, do it. Especially if you have kids, they'll love helping with backyard chickens. And eggs fresh from the bird taste better than anything you can get from a grocery store.

The left predicts everything wrong because they are detached from reality. So this is good news as it means in short time egg costs will probably plummet. It's the universes way of telling liberals they're fucking retarded, that everything they say will happen the opposite shortly happens instead.

32 million hens were culled in the last two months of the JoePedo administration, so unfortunately prices will only go up until flocks start recovering. It's almost like someone in the administration saw all the complaints about egg prices and decided to use bird flu as an excuse for one last "fuck you" on the way out the door.

▲ 1 ▼

I'm totally out of the loop on this. Did the government order hens to be killed? And why? Because of bird flu? Good thing is it only takes a few weeks for chickens to reach maturity and start laying eggs.
