And who was the most popular player in the league by far? Who generated legitimate public interest, ratings, and attendance?
A straight white woman. Whom they targeted with physical violence and widespread disdain for the entire season.
Is there a more despised demographic in America than black women? I feel like the only people who like black women are leftist white women.
The mere appearance of a black female protagonist is enough to sink any video game at this point.
ESPN bought the broadcasting rights to WNBA and the womens' NCAA championship so they've really been pushing womens' basketball hard. They've made Caitlin Clark their first 'star' but people still have eyes and can see how inferior the product is.
I wondered why they were always posting WNBA shit
Not saying that women don’t watch sports but ESPN used to be the ultimate guys channel and they thought something was wrong with that
Even women would rather watch men's sports than women's sports. At least they could watch physically fit, sweaty men manhandle each other.
I mean that's true only if you go by broadcast numbers, ticket sales, and merchandise sales. Outside of those what proof do you have?
But that's only because we've all been conditioned by The Patriarchy.
If we lived in the feminist utopia, we'd watch what we truly cared about, which would obviously be slow, weak, black lesbians throwing up air balls and embarrassing turnovers.
The only time I ever had the misfortune of watching a portion of a WNBA game, my mind kept repeating the thought “the pick up games at my local Y have more excitement and skill”
That's how the destruction of males spaces, hobbies and interests go.
"There's something wrong with this... it's successful. Let's fix that"
It's still nothing more than a women's charity. They've had some growth the past decade, and especially recently with Caitlin Clark, but the product is dogshit and all the "stars" besides her are unlikeable racist dykes.
Jason Whitlock said her main crime was not bowing down to the black lesbian cult. I haven’t watched the NBA since the days of Jordan and I’ve never watched WNBA but I hear she massively boosted ratings. ESPN at one point was going to make a women’s sports channel but I guess those plans fell through
I’d watch the channel if it was nothing but women’s beach volleyball.
I thought about adding that in for humor lol. As an early teen I loved watching women’s volleyball. My older sister played so I would happily go to her game to watch her teammates
Caitlin Clark boosted attendance by like 10x in some places. Because little white girls wanted to see her. Because girls are solipsistic narcissists who can’t appreciate something unless it is “literally me”.
With all the Clark stuff they still lost 40 million!?
Doesn’t the nba subsidize them?
Always has.
The only way they could ever make money on WNBA is if they had a minimum attractiveness requirement.
To play you have to poll 100 random dudes and be rated at least a 6.
You could say that's kind of ugly, but even that would be a huge improvement over most of the players.
Not true. Black women like themselves. A lot.
But not each other.

You're not wrong.

Things aren't all bad for the league ownership going forward, at least theoretically.
The players want a larger slice of a pie that is made up entirely of debt lol
Just like government workers!
I know this sounds insane but relatively speaking 200 million is kinda chump change, especially over 11 years.
I read that as $200m/year, not $200m/11 years.
That said, the top NBA players make a significant chunk of that. Individually. Even 10 years ago back when I followed it they were signing $30-$40million/year deals.
So all of those media companies are gonna take the hit now, and they will pass it on to their various subscribers in the form of jacked up subscription rates.
It’s basically just communism with extra steps.
And the men's teams (their owners, I guess, but money out is money out), pay for it.
The WNBA didn’t generate anything. Caitlin Clark did.
Pajeet men are giving black women a run for their money.
I wonder if White women like black women because black women treat White women similar to how White women want to be treated by White men but the White men are too oppressed to be able to properly put White women in their place like a black woman can do.
