"Here my original idea... a young black woman with a #girlboss attitude; naturally gifted supergenius engineer, with a suit of armor she made herself! THE WORLD AIN'T READY FOR THIS!" (media.kotakuinaction2.win)

“I know there are virtually zero significant black female scientists or engineers in all of human history, but what if black women are secretly the smartest people in the world?”

If you want us to pretend that racial IQ don’t real, for the good of everyone, fine. But when you start telling us up is down, that ceasefire is over. It’s like when people want to talk about white privilege but refuse to acknowledge black crime. We’re either a colorblind society, or we’re not - all of us.

I also like how they don't even get to be their own characters, they have to steal the identity, aesthetics, etc. of another character, usually some white dude.

So now, if you try to make this claim to the type of people that like this - they will aggressively point at the black women that helped do paperwork for the Apollo missions.

If you push back against this, they will make the claim that it was impossible without these black women, and that they wrote the entire launch plan, did all the calculations for orbit, etc.

If you attempt to provide any proof this wasn't the case they will send you clips of the movie they made years back about it.

So despite there still, including the women above, being no significant black female scientists or engineers, they have tricked themselves into believing there are.

There's a hilarious scene in First Man where a black dude is singing about "Whitey on the Moon" in the shadow of Apollo 11 about to launch. I don't know if it was meant to be funny or actually supposed to be some kind of political commentary but I LOLed all the same.

Iron Heart is literally a villain.

You know what sent her into a fury, when she decided she needed to become a super-hero? Okay, I'm not kidding about this, hold on:

She was in elementary school and the teacher asked everyone what they wanted to be. She stood up and said, "Superhero". The teacher said, "that's nice". Then elementary school Iron Heart just stared at her. The teacher stared back. She stared longer at the teacher. The teacher asked, "what?". Iron Heart looked back and said, "This is the part where you're supposed to tell me that I can't do it, that I don't have any powers, or that superheroes don't look like me. That's supposed to drive me forward and fuel me into becoming a superhero." The teacher looked back at her and said, "Why would I do that? You can be whatever you want."

In response, Iron Heart is furious, grimaces, and sits down hating the teacher for telling her she could grow up to be anything she wants.

I shit you not.

Like every other Leftist fuck-head shitter-hero, she is a raging narcissist. She is a physically unbearable cunt who asserts that she is better than everyone else, that everyone else is inferior to her, and her superiority is backed with resentment that not everyone agrees that she's better than them. She doesn't even have a smug sense of self-superiority. It is a resentful sense of self-superiority. She's pissed off at everyone because they don't see themselves as inferior to her from the moment they greet her. She doesn't greet them, everyone else is in the way. She literally doesn't even really save the day. She literally causes all of her own problems, starts wars, blames everyone else, then "solves" the problems she started by doing terrible things and lecturing everyone about how much better she is than them.

As with Captain Marvel, she's literally a super villain.

This wiki entry is a puff piece.

Another character like Ms marvel whose comics don’t sell but when does that matter.

So instead the character gets inserted into other works like happened with Kamala being written into Amazing Spider-Man only to then get killed off so the X-Men could bring her back as a mutant.

The amount is of downright stupidity involved in all that is still to this day staggering.

First off none of the ASM cast had any chemistry with Kamala, and their attempts at mourning her were just shit flashbacks that were made up in the issue so there was no gravitas to any of it.

Second, her death wasn't even done very well or somewhere it would make even the slightest bit of sense. Throwing her into ASM was never well received, not that ASM was for the longest time then either, but most people probably missed it because of where and when it happened.

Third, she was barely dead for a month and Emma Frost mind wiped most people so they never knew it happened.

Fourth, her mutant powers turned out to be exactly like the live action version of the character to the surprise of nobody. The whole thing was done for MCU synergy.

The later issues where she comes back are just as stupid for a whole list of other reasons, like trying to do the vitiligo meme but then drawing someone who might have had alopecia instead because apparently the writers and artists are just that fucking stupid.

I gave up on modern marvel and dc a while back. My favorite characters are Superman and Spider-Man and I was still getting those subs until early 2021. Really annoys me that they ignored the actual ppl who buy comics. Thankfully there are tons of back issues

They even managed to de-redeem Harley Quinn as a villain with Suicide Squad by making her more objectively evil than she was with joker.

the bulk of these girlboss characters are written with villain tropes while falsely slapping the "hero" name on it. the most obvious one was ruby rose as batwoman. the trailer just looked absolutely terrible, as if joker's daughter had taken up a life of crime, and then snuck into the batcave to steal batman's identity. it's all narcissism... and any virtue signalling of saving others is always paper-thin, only about themselves and their image.

I tried watching Supergirl and the first episode was all about her fee-feels of how unfair the perception of her was in the press and the general public. With obligatory feminist ''women have to work twice as hard for half the praise'' delusional bullshit. I didn't even finish the episode.

It wasen't a superhero show. It was a highschool teenage girl who never grew up trying to be the queen, masquerading as a superhero show.

At least Smallville was watchable. The characters were in school so it wasen't trying to pretend to have matured past that. ( too many non-Whites characters though ).

You're not missing much, most of the CW shows are that retarded. The later Superman and Lois Lane show set in franchise has Lois try to call out Clark for making more money than she does with the whole $1 to 69 cents of whatever it was. Completely ignoring the fact Lois has a Pulitzer to her name from before even meeting Clark. There's no way Lois and Clark are on the same payment grade despite Clark bringing in Superman stories.

Is the moral of the story that women can't be heroes because they're actually just narcissistic villains who want to be called heroes? This all just wreaks of female mindset.

Not that I would voluntarily interact with them but back in my lolbert days, when I still believed in blank slate and "gave everyone a chance", I don't recall ever meeting a black woman with an actual hobby much less a technical or nerdy one.

The one I can think of was at least 80% White, and she was into a reading comic books, like real ones, before marvel movies came out.

I’ve seen a few black girls into manga and very few that are into nerdy stuff. Black nerdy guys is something you’ll see more often. When I started seeing comics and sci-fi companies really trying to cater to black women i remember thinking do you guys see who actually buys the product?

My best friends in middle school were the black nerds, but in high school only the truly outcast blacks that the other blacks hated would still do the nerdy hobbies like d&d and battletech. The others literally had one monoculture: sports, drugs, shoes, "beefing", showing off for white and asian girls by being anti-social. The only ones who were "civilized" were the obviously gay ones.

Yea in high school the few black nerds were usually accused of “acting white”. Black female nerds are very rare. Hispanic too but I’ve seen a few more of those. Now if you looked at who nerd hobbies cater to you’d think those two groups made up all the customer base

The only black women with hobbies I've met that wasn't "getting nails/hair did" were the ultraest of weebs. Like, the ones that tattoo hearts under their eyes and scream about Kawaii desu uwu in public.

Which tracks with my experience with black dudes, whose only hobbies outside the stereotypical "basketball, rap, hoodrat shit" was "knows every single episode of DBZ/One Piece by heart."

Its a very odd situation that says something about the power of Anime, but I don't know what.

There's also Bumblebee from DC, Teen Lantern from DC who somehow managed to hack a Green Lantern ring, Naomi from DC, and quite a few more. Wait until you find out what the common denominator is for most of them.

Spoiler: it's Brian Michael Bendis who repeatedly inserts his daughters into every comic company he works for.

This is old news but it's always worth mentioning why they dropped the name Ironheart: it was already in use for a JAV parody of Iron Man. (Gvrd-45)

Also her origin story is a teacjer WOULDN'T tell her she would be held back because of her race and gender. So she glared at the teacher until the teacher came up with something, Riri would never be Tony Stark... which is definitively true.

Naomi had a similar issue with the codename DC went with, Powerhouse, seeing as how that's the moniker Franklin Richards was already using.

What's really dumb about these characters is, if at least you made them hot babes they might have pushed a few sales. Storm is a well liked character. But they can't even do that. They want to make the characters anti-white AND ugly.

Storm is a well liked character.

No she isn't, not right now at least after her continuous run as a Mary Sue in the Krakoa era of X-Men comics that saw her take on almost every powerful mutant that exists, and then countless others introduced throughout the run, and beat every single one of them with ease.

Vulcan, who took on every X-Men character that existed when he debuted and beat them all

Tarn, who beat Vulcan and killed him through sheer strength and power before being jobbed and killed moments later by Magneto

The original Horsemen of Apocalypse, who are his actual bloodborne children

Genesis, Apocalypse's wife

Apocalypse himself

The Faceless Queen, the omega mutant version of Mystique who could copy powers and not just looks

Callisto, again

Nimrod

extradimensional supercomputers/entities called Dominion that live in black holes outside of conventional time and space whose only existing threats are Galactus and the Phoenix Force

All of which happens during a run where every mutant who dies can be brought back to life through several mutants working together, as happened with Vulcan, yet Storm didn't die even once in the 2-3 years the Krakoan comics ran for.

By the end of the run Storm was just a boring Saitama like character, without the humour, who showed up, zapped whatever problem was going on, then left, all the while complaining how others kept letting things go wrong despite Storm spending most of her time on Mars and ignoring all the aforementioned problems developing in the first place.

Storm's parents were very black, which just goes to show how retarded Storm's appearance is.

Moon Girl is only smart because she's an Inhuman and her superpower is literally "be smort". There are still the actually smart characters such as Reed Richards, Tony Stark, Peter Parker, Bruce Banner, T'Challa, Amadeus Choir Cho, and Hank McCoy. You'll note most of them are similar bar Black Panther who has always felt like a DEI insert with no originality in the making.

King, supersuit, super serum, smort

In other words, Thor, Iron Man, and Captain America combined, but black.

From that entry, Riri was so smart, they took her from her family and put her in foster care. Is that.. Aspirational?

The STEMboon trope plays out hilarious on that show New Amsterdam. The chief of cardiology (a black dude) has a squad of all black lady cardiologists. They are always done up with weave and nails. It looks like a parody, but the show is serious. They follow him around like a squad with the Joey Tribbiani acting method on their faces.

The comics failed due to low sales. Yet another example of being clueless as to who buys comics. They may say she is an original character but she came in during the all new all different era which was done to race/gender swap classic characters. The super genius “female teen of color” trope is pretty common in sjw writing
