Obama is, IMO, the worst political figure in modern history. That's including Biden and Hillary and all of the criminals in the W. Bush administration.
Repealing the ban on domestic propaganda was probably the most damaging policy decision that flew under the radar in my lifetime. I attribute a large chunk of what's gone wrong in the last ten years to that, if not directly then by allowing the flames to be fanned.
That change had nothing to do with private media. It allowed the state department to broadcast its news segments (that they had been producing for years for overseas audiences) within US borders.
Operation Mockingbird started 70 years ago and despite the senate hearings that brought it to light, nothing was done to curtail such behavior going forward, and indeed it continued to flourish well before Obama was in the picture.
I don't say any of this to defend that piece of shit, but the whole "Obama legalized propaganda and that's why the media is so fucked" narrative is just flat out wrong.
No problem man. It's one of the more common misconceptions in conservative circles and still gets posted weekly over on the Donald. Most over there don't take being corrected about it well like you did though haha
I think Obama is only worse than Hillary because she never got the level of power he did. If she had won in 2008 or 2016, she would have easily eclipsed him and basically anyone else.
Obama had some level of charisma when given sufficient preparation. Hillary got less likable when they prepped her for PR events. And she still almost managed to win the 2016 election because the establishment Republicans wouldn't run anyone with the combination of charisma and policies to beat her. An old New York Democrat (and former friend of the Clintons) had to run as a Republican to beat her, and the establishment Republicans were pissed, because they'd rather have an establishment Democrat (and one of the worst ones, at that) in office than a Republican they didn't control.
Obama is as disappointing as NPR; neither had to be bottom of the barrel bad, they chose to be.
NPR didn't have have Google stealing their revenue like other news orgs did so they didn't have to chase clicks. Obama didn't have to be always divisive like in this "our side" example.
Pretty sure Trump hasn't even a single time insulted Democrat voters, only specific people and organizations.
Obama working with the MSM was I think one of the most successful propaganda campaigns in history. The media always painted him in a positive light except when they were throwing the political right the occasional bone to look "objective," pop culture wouldn't treat him like a politician, comedians wouldn't dare make fun of him; and anyone who didn't tow the line was accused of racism.
I know a number of people who were exceptionally talented at their technical jobs, yet believed everything they read in the NYT and heard on NPR. They think that he made zero mistakes and navigated the country through a time of historic prosperity...and that the only reason things weren't better was that evil Republican in the corner of the room trying to cause trouble because they were butthurt about being in the minority.
Yeah, let's just forget about all the lies they told about Hunter's laptop and the lab leak. That's just off the top of my head. Speaking of sticking to the facts: When is Barry gonna tell the truth about Big Mike?
Let's Go Brandon only became a thing because they insisted on lying about what was being chanted at that NASCAR tournament. Had they told to the truth people would have forgotten about it once the news cycle moved onto something else.
Obamacare, Gun control, getting cucked by Russia, running a dogshit economy, Pretty much everything this guy touched was a total failiure. Does anyone take him seriously? Other than shitlibs, I mean.
if the facts were on your side you wouldn't need to censor.

And I say that as someone who voted for him.

Glad you chimed in about that. Allow me to post my favorite quote ever about the media:
Philip Graham of the Washington Post quotes a CIA operative that "You could get a journalist cheaper than a good call girl, for a couple hundred dollars a month."
Well shit.
Thank you for the correction at any rate.

I wouldn't be here if I didn't have the capacity to ingest new information and refine my worldview accordingly.
After all, if media wasn't fucked before Obama, how did he or many of his predecessors get in office?
I think Obama is only worse than Hillary because she never got the level of power he did. If she had won in 2008 or 2016, she would have easily eclipsed him and basically anyone else.
No disagreement here. She was limited by her opportunity to be awful.

And the lies they tell about guns, immigration, IQ, crime...
There is not a single thing that the left isn't lying about.
They tried lying about Biden checking his watch.
And it was so petty. Okay he checked his watch because his senile ass cannot comprehend decorum anymore, was bored, or confused.
But they just had to lie about that too.
Let's Go Brandon only became a thing because they insisted on lying about what was being chanted at that NASCAR tournament. Had they told to the truth people would have forgotten about it once the news cycle moved onto something else.
Beating a dead horse but his side thinks rioting and destruction is ok
If a politician is happy with the job the media is doing, the media is not doing its job.
There are 4 lights
The facts:
The NY Times, who had a reporter win a pulitzer for repeating Soviet propaganda, is "not going to just make stuff up.”?
Didn't know Obama was a comedian. Maybe he picked up some of Mikes jokes.
Kinda weird that the side that thinks men can become women and get pregnant thinks their side “sticks to the facts” huh?
"Facts" - Whatever some lefty says something is regardless of truth.
facts... "men can get pregnant". uh huh.
Obamacare, Gun control, getting cucked by Russia, running a dogshit economy, Pretty much everything this guy touched was a total failiure. Does anyone take him seriously? Other than shitlibs, I mean.
Where's the fact about Mike 'the man' Obama?
when the facts are redefined as "any truth ordained and approved by our institutions", he's not wrong
You can keep your doctor and Obamacare isn't a tax comes to mind
