I was not aware the graphical update was not globally applied. That should really make one wonder why certain regions got the uglification update and others didn't. Hopefully some normies wake up from it.
Because that would piss off the Japanese players which would then get more easily brought to the attention of the higher-ups in Nintendo of Japan, which I'm guessing the people who made this change want to avoid.
Pretty brazen to just go and remove all plausible deniability from the normies who play PG. The deliberate uglification of vidya characters I'm sure sounds just plain bizarre to anyone who hasn't been paying attention, but then these "people" just had to go and shove it in the face of normies everywhere.
I've seen some incredibly smug, shit-eating comments in woke groups about how the majority are ackshually on their side and...yeah maybe it's fine to let them indulge that delusion because it makes them tell on themselves.
I don't know the character (I'm guessing from Pokemon), but they can't even make the fat ugly one have the same feeling. One looks like a happy little girl, the other is like an angsty tranny. Can't even smile, really?

The link works for me, reading some of the responses, most of the females that play pokemon go are the ones most vocal about the update, they don't like that their characters are ugly looking now and also outfits they purchased were removed (basically scammed).
Was hoping to get an idea what they looked like, but of course they are hiding behind a cartoon avatar that represents what they THINK they look like.
