LOL.
Even Wikipedia says the following: "Banneker became a folk-hero after his death, leading to many accounts of his life being exaggerated or embellished." Also, pretty much all his work burned. He was "an African-American naturalist, mathematician, astronomer and almanac author. A landowner, he also worked as a surveyor and farmer." No hate on the dude, I'm sure he was alright but, well...one of these things is not like the others.
Honestly, just embarrassing. If you're going for diversity, pick people who can stand on their own, and give them titles better than "scientist." Shit.
There's kind of a problem with picking people who can stand on their own when you're looking for diversity.
I'm aware, but still...surely they could do better than a title of "scientist" and a dude who seems most famous (for lack of a better term) for his surveying work and writing almanacs. Much less someone so unimpressive who is still seemingly somewhat apocryphal.
"Jamal Washington: Peanut butter inventor (but not really)"
You would need to pick Arabs or Indians for their work in ancient math.
Blacks won’t make the list.
Did they not mention George Washington Carver? Guy was pretty interesting as a thinker/inventor. Basically invented modern crop rotations and advanced farming methods iirc. Helped revolutionize the farming process.
Was the issue him not being a big pharma shill or what lol
You can't have a black farmer be famous for farming! That's just a step away from being a slave! Somehow.
Seriously, GWC was a pretty cool dude. It's frustrating that people remember him as "The Peanut Butter Guy" when that's not even one of his inventions.
It's nothing big or life-changing, but they could have also used Lonnie Johnson, inventor of the Super Soaker.
If they wanted to get their diversity rocks off why not mention Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi father of algebra?
Because then we have to explain how we screwed up his name?
Also look up the early Caliphate engineers. They were as smart as Hero or Leonardo.
Yo he aint black, dawg!
The degree to which the left completely sold out to big pharma has to be the most obvious red pill. How can you ever take any of these people seriously ever again?
One of the craziest things I've ever witnessed was going to a bar that also sold homeopathic tinctures that also "demanded"* that you be vaccinated before you walked in the door.
* Honor system, because they were hippies who lacked the courage to enforce their will. A microchasm of why their ideology doesn't work.
The term is "microcosm," but I honestly like microchasm better.
I don't get paid to do this and have been drinking enough this evening that I don't care to correct it. "Microchasm" made sense at the time, probably for the same reasons you like it better :)
Thanks for the edit though :)
Honestly, it works really well. I think you just coined a new word: Microchasm- noun. A self-contained, gaping void of stupidity and hypocrisy.
Might be worth adding to Urban Dictionary.
Literally everyone on the Left is on some dosage of medication for a mental issue or "chronic physical ailment" or both.
Questioning pharma at all would mean they have to face uncomfortable realities and truths about the thing they put their faith in for years, which if they could do they wouldn't be on those meds to begin with. Covid just make it more overt by stomping out the token fake resistance they used to espouse.
Most of the left was completely on board with “big pharma evil” pre-2020. The plandemic rewrote their programming in real-time; the same people who bemoaned for-profit insulin price hikes just five years ago are now tip-toeing around the issue because they can’t open the can of worms that is “maybe Pfizer is literally evil”.
Were they though?
Or were they just doing performative activism while still consuming every pill big pharma prescribed them daily and completely participating in every step of the program?
Because to me all it looked like was them whining and complaining about some unnamed ambiguous evil that was totes bad while they did literally nothing about it.
Because many of the people who would question this have already bailed out years ago; 2010's, 2016, 2020, just to name some big points in the last decade or so.
What's left really is the most indoctrinated of the indoctrinated. Pretty much literally the NPC meme.
Element of truth here. Sometimes I think I'm not very smart but simply think what the TV told me to think back in 2006, and anything beyond that is "crazy".
Which isn't entirely true but is probably closer to true than not (since I cancelled TV in 2008).
Even if Pfizer was capable of curing cancer they'd rather sell you a pill to treat it you'd have to take every day for the rest of your life.
And then if there were certain behaviors that made it more likely you'd get cancer they'd tell you not to worry about that, because cancer is "treatable".
Basically look at how they treat HIV and AIDS and apply that to all of human health, and you'll have a pretty good idea of Pfizer's ideal model for medical "treatment"
Predictive programming: That's almost exactly what Lex Luthor did in the animated Superman: Doomsday.
Stop them. Now.
That wasn't even the worst commercial. That "He Gets Us" group is back, and there was some bullshit progressive propaganda that was basically a Democrat campaign ad that would get fined for campaign finance laws if the laws were enforced.
Literally funded by Jews
Yeah, I noticed those as well. I also noticed the "Stop Jew Hate" ad, and the complete lack of pro Palestine ads, so I guess coporate TV has spoken.
I assumed the Jew Hate one was due to all the Palestine stuff after 10/7. It made me laugh, as though "Roscoe Jethroe" from Alabama whose family has been there since the 1700s is statistically the one who wants Jews to die rather than first generation "American" Sayyid Mohammad.
“1 in 4 Jews was a victim of a hate crime.”
I’m calling bullshit on that statistic. Of course, they call it a hate crime if you mildly disagree with a Jew.
They have to manufacture fake hate crimes to feed the narrative.
The ADL considers about 20% of numbers between 0 and 100 to be some sort of dogwhistle (14, 88, etc.) so that presents a lot of opportunities for random numeric values to be "hate crimes"
Not only was the big spike in anti-Jewish hate crimes directly attributed to a Jew calling in bogus threats to synagogues, but those stats were still not adjusted after the ruse was discovered.
Meanwhile, Christian priests are being literally beheaded by Muslims in France, and there’s no discourse about attacks on the Christian faith. In fact, democrats made up a whole ass new label - Easter worshipper - so that they wouldn’t have to acknowledge that a bunch of middle eastern Christians were murdered on Easter.
That's ok. There are pro-Palestine billboards all over the place in my neck of the woods, so it balances out.
You wanna know the most ironic commercial. The State Farm one with Arnold. The black director and Jake from State Farm, are trying to correct Arnold's pronunciation of neighbor. You know his accent it comes out neighba. So you have two black people trying to teach a white guy to stop using a soft A sound and use the appropriate hard R sound.
He should just shout his surname at them over and over.
Hahaha
Freddie rolling over in his grave right now.
Makes me wonder if any national law firm would have been able to post an "have you been injured by a vaccine?" ad.
I'm guessing not.
People are calling RFK Jr. ad an anti-vax commercial. People are calling RFK Jr. a right wing troll.
All knowledge we know today is from ancient whites, arabs, and chinese. Most modern advancements in last 200 years that contribute/change society is like made by 80% white, 15% east asian and 5% other. And most of it came from war R&D.
The fuckers liken themselves with historic thinkers. I could only wish that their legacy would be their total failure leading to an age of credible science.
