Christian school that embraced the LGBTQ community is forced to close its doors (archive.ph)

The school’s mission statement has always stressed inclusivity in general terms, noting that following Jesus "opens up doors and makes room at the table." But last year it added a paragraph to its website, which read in part, "We are an affirming school. We stand with the LGBTQIA+ community and believe in their holiness. We celebrate the diversity of God's creation in all its varied and beautiful forms."

Not Christians

According to the school, that update prompted donors to stop contributing, many of them citing their interpretation of Christianity as the reason. Now, UCA has announced it will close at the end of the school year due to the loss of financial support.

their interpretation of Christianity

Im gonna go on a limb here and say not a single one of the people who pulled out said it was because of “how they interpret Christianity” over the school unabashedly worshipping Sodom and Gomorrah

Fooling Christians into believing they were supposed to be giant pussies who allow demons to walk over them was part of the reason America became fucked up.

I'm so glad real Christians are starting to step up, speak their minds, and calling out the fake Christians infiltrating Churches.

A lot of the NT talk about loving your "brother" actually translates as "fellow believer" not "people."

It's a guide for community-building ("you gotta get along, guys, you live together") not instructions to surrender to the prince of this world.

Yep.

It's Scofield-esque 'Judeo-Christianity' and deliberate mistranslations all the way down most places.

Christianity is practically counterculture at this point.

Tbf, Jesus also said to love your enemies. That doesn't mean abandon your moral principles, but it is important to throw out there.

Agreed. That gets into the topic of how "love" should mean "what is best for you" not "whatever you want," something people increasingly refuse to understand.

Coincidentally, what's best for my enemies is for me to defeat them.

"Go forth, and sin no more."

No, I think the inhabitants of Sodom and Gomorrah would be pretty offended at this comparison. Billy Graham's wife once said: if God does not destroy America, he will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah.

I don't think people read that story correctly.

When the angels were kept in Job's house, they didn't just say "Oh, heeeeeey. Is that a guest uwu?"

They went to Job's house and said they didn't like that Job had treated a guest well, and as punishment the lynch mob was going to gang-rape the angels. Job offered them literally everything, even his own daughters (to deny them the excuse of a need for sex), and they were offended by that, and decided that they were going to ... again: gang-rape the angels... and gang-rape his daughters... and then gang-rape and murder Lot.

That's when the angels were like: "Yeah, no, I cast magical blindness on the lynch mob. Anyway, God clearly sent us to fucking destroy this place, because what the absolute fuck was that?"

This lynch mob was so fucking evil that they took personal offense to someone treating a guest nice in their home, that they decided they were gonna rape and murder everyone, men and women, and kill them. That's pretty fucking extreme, and honestly more extreme than anything we see today.

There's an argument to be made that cancel-culture and the guilt by association insanity we see today are just the light-version of what you wrote.

Hey, this guy let someone speak on his Youtube-Channel. Go get the pitchforks.

Hey, that's nice to see instead of the 'turn the other cheek' that has been drilled into Christians for centuries, the donors cut them off immediately.

Wasn't that female team that forfeited than played because of a trans player also Christian. I'm hoping this is the strategy of denying funds and legitimacy to ALL leftist infiltration as they do have the numbers to strangle their funds.

"Turn the other cheek" was coined during a time where Romans backhanded inferiors such as Christians and slaves. It was effectively a dare to treat them like equals.

"Turning the other cheek" never meant allowing pure evil to take over your society. As the great Antonio himself said, even the devil can cite scripture for his purpose.

Got nothing against it as it helped build Europe and America into prominence

Just that I think it's been used against them with an over focus on the forgiveness side and not on any parts that might encourage resistance and retribution as there's got to be some lines like that considering we got the crusades thanks to them.

Shocking! How dare these people donating actually expect them to follow Christian principles. Yes, Christ loves us and wants us to have a relationship with God. God doesn’t love our sin. We all sin and we shouldn’t be trying to appease the world.

The wicked crave a veneer of legitimacy, which they seek to use to proliferate their evil. That is why tolerance is a sin.

I would argue that acceptance is the sin not tolerance.

– Kaarous 2 points 3 years ago +2 / -0

permalink parent save report block reply
▲ 1 ▼
– tensigh 1 point 3 years ago +1 / -0

Sure. Acceptance means you accept the sin as normal or as not even a sin in the first place. Tolerance means you still call it a sin but you don't actually beat up/harass people engaging in said sin.

I work with homosexuals and I know of some in my neighborhood. The fact that I don't scream at them in person and/or physically attack them is tolerance. In fact, I can't explain to them what sin is without this type of approach. However, I don't accept said sin as acceptable. If/when the subject comes up I will say what is Biblically correct. That's the difference.

Now, UCA has announced it will close at the end of the school year due to the loss of financial support.

This is a textbook (sorry) example of why school vouchers would work to broom this nonsense out of public schools. Parents would be able to vote with their feet and take their tax money and kid elsewhere.

We stand with the LGBTQIA+ community and believe in their holiness.

They don't.

Kalie Callaway-George, UCA’s executive director and co-founder, said this new language "is kind of what started the backlash from our donor base, which we anticipated. It was just that we anticipated a 50% loss in funding and made adjustments for that. We had an 80% loss in funding and that was too much to overcome."

Conservatives stop being useless for 5 seconds and there is marked improvement in the world.

I'm sure Jesus would disapprove of tranny politics and the movement's corruption and abuse of children.

"Churchianity" has always been at odds with the Gospel. The infiltration of tranny/fag ideology is its latest and probably most sinister iteration. Worse, even, than Farrakhan's "ministry."

Callaway-George expressed hope that "there will be conversations in churches and around dinner tables where people ask critical questions about what they believe and how their beliefs are affecting other people."

Likewise, I hope that people in the FAG community will have conversations in their churches of social media and drag queen gatherings where the degenerates ask critical questions about what they believe and how their beliefs are affecting other people by inspiring suicidal ideation and the taking away of lunches from entire school districts because someone failed to use a preferred pronoun.

Christianity has been pandering to women for over a century, if not more. Why? Because they've been seen as the spiritual center of the family(hah!) while the father focused on the materialistic.

It's why a lot of teachings get neutered down to 'let other people abuse you while you meekly take it' or 'love thy neighbor' regardless of circumstances; because you don't want to offend women with fiery rhetoric(so scary!) or let men get ideas on how to handle things.

Going by how things are developing, they're just... ahead of the curve. Barring changes, this is how it'll all end up, eventually.

"In addition, co-founder Kalie George revealed that she would be marrying another woman and that they would be having a baby together. She took Callaway-George as her surname.
