There are a lot of annoying things and so many grievances when browsing the forums but I found one particular instance I have always found annoying but recently, reading it got more frequent. When you read on a topic of discussing elites getting scot-free from punishments, I found people often quoting George Carlin's "It's a big club and you ain't in it." which I found annoying as fuck and ironic to boot. If he was alive, he would have been a DNC bootlicker, and probably just as malicious and rabid as say, Keith Olbermann and dismiss the whole fiasco happening right now.
The worst thing is that, there's a lot of truth in it's a big club quote, but when so many people are too much of chickenshit to say the real elephant in the room and refuse to discuss the topic that are quite controversial but has a lot of circumstantial evidence, it's even more infuriating. In the end, the fact that I never really liked George Carlin and always saw him as a bitter phony hack, I found his quote more annoying to read. Can't even understand the reason why people worship the guy when I never found the guy funny.
Is there pet peeve that you find as irritating as the one I got when browsing reddit or normiesphere?
'citation please'
My source is that I made it the fuck up, fuck you you're just trying to waste my time. I could pull up an article definitively proving what I just said written by einstein, stephen hawking, richard dawkins and biden himself, published in nature, and you'd still nitpick some other point. Go fuck yourself.
If you provide a source :
Who provides a source from youtube/newspaper!
If it is academic:
Its not peer reviewed!
If it is peer reviewed:
Those scientists are known conspiracy theorists!
I dislike the sanitation.
It feels like a public pool smells.
Real conversation, valuable conversation, can't be that chlorinated.
I wish you would have asked this that time I made the mistake of going back onto Faggit after spending some time here. There's a lot of stuff that you don't notice unless you experience its absence, and that applies even to the KIA2 sub. With Faggit it was a bunch of little things, but I'm having trouble remembering and describing specific things. I guess you could say it's the retarded culture over there, and while true it's unhelpfully vague.
One thing I can think of is the pseudo-intellectualism that's rife over there. The "discussions" on that site are what dumb people think smart people sound like. That's because there's an overabundance of retards who only care about being seen as the smartest person in the room. The leftists are the worst about this but no one there is really immune because it bleeds into the culture. I'm sure everyone here has experienced it. They use big fancy words that they barely know the meaning of when simpler language would suffice. The shitty "debate" tactics are another part of this. Nitpicking at minor flaws as if they invalidate someone's main point, constant demands for sources that are never good enough when provided, and more interest in "winning" the debate using shitty tactics than having an honest discussion or bringing up good points. It brings to mind that saying about 4chan and Faggit: 4chan is where smart people go to act dumb and Faggit is where dumb people go to act smart.
I wish the westerners were bit more like Japanese in that respect. Japanese people in general let their disinterest in politics show clearly and they are too busy thinking about politics so they hardly say anything about it. These days, though, they have no choice but to talk about politics when westerners are adamant about spreading the ideology everywhere to Japan.
The thing that pisses me off the most is acronyms. Using acronyms constantly assuming the readers can readily make sense of them; multiple acronyms for everything imaginable per sentence.
God gave us words for a reason, lets use them. Be free.
smh dae idgaf
What the hell is dae
Daez nuts! Got 'im!
...Sorry. It's short for "Does Anyone Else", so "smh dae idgaf" would be roughly translated to "heaving a sigh of exasperation, DefinitelyNotIGN asks into the void if it is solely himself who does not care about the ongoing topic."
Thanks lol
nah i like to go on the net and get all the alphabet soup... just in case as i know tone dont translate well in text im being sarcastic it irks me too i tolerate it where expected like mmo's with lfg being shorthand for looking for group, although with alphabet soup being a type of soup im surprised alphabet you know google doesnt sell that kinda soup...
"y'all" and all the different flavours of "[joke], but seriously"
Unearned smugness from people who are at least 3 standard deviations beneath me.
People who are too stupid to comprehend why someone wouldnt want to take the "vax" and have to strawman a reason to attack because they never bothered to research anything past what the MSM narrative tells them to believe despite all of the super obvious shit going on around them. Its even worse when they are smugly confident about being dumbfucks that are too stupid to understand how ignorant they are. Basically NPCs are annoying.
Unnecessary moderator involvement. (How is this not your nr. 1 pet peeve?)
Noticing shadowbans by means of comment numbers in low-comment threads. It mentions four comments, but I can only see two? Whatever could be the explanation ...
Related to your mention of Carlin, I'm getting sick of seeing all the "and no one will do anything about it" when some criminal politician is up to no good again. We live in a world of rampant violence that gets aimed at all sorts of randos, and they still somehow think that it'll never get corralled and directed towards one of those 'important people.'
Shinzo Abe got blasted, and he was only a member of their House of Reps at the time, not PM. All you need are the people with nothing left to lose to hear their calling, and a whole lot of dominoes will start to fall. I just don't feel the despair that they all seem to feel about it.
When browsing reddit? A pet peeve? I don't know, I guess it's the fact that it's the modern distillation of all the most hysterical, cult-like, mob-like, cognitively dissonant traits of the human animal, masquerading as some kind of social interaction and discussion.
This was always true of forums to some extent; to blend in you have to play the invisible online social game. But with reddit's upvote culture, its infiltration by cultural and social engineers, and the fact that it became the single default forum for the Western internet, there's never been a more poisonous example. There was never a single sub I found, large or tiny, that was free of the reddit overmind, with some kind of feminist or tranny subversion crawling in the shadows. I think this goes hand in hand with the metastasis of the modern left into a religious crusade against anything unwoke. In the 2000s you used to find people of all stripes in all forums, but the leftists wouldn't necessarily set out to destroy the fabric of the community just because there was diversity of opinion there. Different now.
Anyway sorry to derail your barely-disguised rant about George Carlin. I think he's overrated too but it's questionable he would have been in support of the current regime. He was a hippie leftist into conspiracies and such, more likely he would have turned out like Jimmy Dore. Who I don't like either, but he at least falls outside the 2 flavours of human being acknowledged to exist by reddit.
Western Forums: White Knights.
Reddit: How if you post the truth in a direct manner you're downvoted for being offensive.
Before I gave up entirely what pissed me off most was the secret list of words or phrases that would get your comment auto removed (without notification) so you'd have to check it out in incognito mode to see if it's visible. The faggot mods of course aren't any help. "We can't tell you what's on the blacklist otherwise people would just use euphemisms to get around it". Yeah, no shit, faggots. And it's not even about slurs, on reddit the KIA2 sub would filter my comments if I used the word 'clot shot'. How's that bootlicking working now, you kiked bastards?
jews
I'm not even sure. Probably the general hivemind thought process and smugness that comes with being an npc liberal-leftist.
I used to browse popular subs like askreddit, askhistorians, and a few others. But I slowly cut it down until it was just KIA2, 4chan sub, the redpill, and a couple gaming subs.
Just browsing r/all for a few minutes is said to reduce your braincell count. Beware.
You're right about Carlin, but he has a good take on muh conspiracies: https://youtube.com/watch?v=VAFd4FdbJxs
A keen insight, but even people who understand this will start to freak out of if you begin to extrapolate and start examining that behavioral patterns and predispositions can be identified to correlate with things other than what country club someone goes to.
Retards.

But as far as discussion goes, 'My brother in christ' is annoying because it's used mostly by non-Christians for the purpose of sarcasm and mockery. Most of them probably are just trying to sound funny, and aren't mocking Christians/Christianity on purpose, but it's still treating it like a punch line. It always reminds me how other religions are sacrosanct but it's acceptable to belittle Christianity
Seeing leftist shit assumed to be the default
Because I've fully integrated the knowledge that like 50% of normie sites and like 90% of political normie sites are basically bot farms with fake people lying about everything to move the needle in the direction they want it to go, I'd have to say my biggest complaint is Discourse software. It's impossible to organize things, find things, and incredibly difficult to track stuff without keeping a tab open forever.
Pro-woman sentiment where it's not relevant or necessary.
You know the type, mass upvote of a female user's garbage post.
Or the famous Pokemon Go one where the woman complains about having to talk to men to do events together.
Keep their propaganda on their communities.
Normally I'm one to lambast you for your takes, but it is annoying to go to some forum, looking for a specific piece of information, and the top level stuff is just a girl holding the thing the forum is about.
Reminds me of that experiment with the same account that one guy ran where he put is GF in the picture and where he did not. Naturally, the one that had his GF made the top 10 posts on the subreddit. Very annoying.
My biggest gripe is the "It's a big club and you ain't in it" can be thrown around until you actually try to point fingers. Then it's "racist, antisemetic, right wing propaganda, republican bootlicker" and on and on and on till the only people left to blame are white christian rural married fathers who are definitely not in control.
Reddit: the goddamn search function that brings up eight or nine unrelated hits before something relevant pops up
the obsession with bringing unrelated (usually woke) political/social commentary into literally anything. I barely look at the F1 sub anymore not only because my heart can only take Ferrari's constant fuckups for so long, but because every other post is about Hamilton's latest Instagram posts about socjus, or how Abu Dhabi needs to get with the times and allow faggots to twerk on the racetrack or some dumb shit.
Hell, even the Lego sub is like this. They have posts that are massively upvoted about tranny lego flags and figures and shit. PLASTIC FUCKING FIGURES. They don't even HAVE dicks and they still want to chop them off. Unless you are in a hardline conservative sub like TheBidenShitShow there will be some sort of faggot shit injected into the conversation as if it's some sort of positive thing.
And don't even get me started on fucking white knights. I don't know why it's even called askmen anymore considering that half the commenters and mods are women. You can't even have a male only space anymore, and the men in that sub are all fucking soyboys who hate traditionally masculine shit like loud cars, guns, women with huge tits, etc. You can't criticize a single thing women as a whole do without being labeled bitter, misogynist, racist, and a whole slew of other shit.
That website is nothing like it was when I first joined back in 2013.
Because you are a normie. A normie from another era, but still a normie. Culture changed, the part that was radical is now the norm and went beyond. It's called a swinging pendulum for a reason.
And this lack of self-awareness is my pet peeve. "Hey everyone, I'm not like those other people. I'm a rebel who doesn't like the cool stuff because it's bad and totally not because it won't appeal to me as I wasn't the target audience."
That and the people who take everything to a level beyond just because they think it will make them more appealing. Can't tell the events as they happened, got to make it up. Can't give a story, got to throw in an epic or two. Can't admire a person/object/media, gotta get disturbing about it.
