I used to be a lot more sympathetic towards their argument for early term abortions.

It's because of our Christian roots as a nation. Our founders were Deists but Protestant Christian was and still is the most practiced religion here in the US. I'm not religious either, but my parents are, and I'm fairly sure that "base" that was built by my parents is the reason why I haven't turned into a stark raving mad SJW.

Church of Satan used to be edgy in the past, counter-culture. Today... They are more conformist than anything out there. Church of Satan is more of atheists using some Christian belief as cosplay. What one means in the comments that I saw here are called "luciferians". Who do worship Satan and believe in him.
