Eventually, inevitably, our governments will go the way of places like Chicago - every executive will be a low-IQ black, every judge, every cop. They will be incompetent, but also they will overtly hate you. You'll be victimized out on the street, and the government will say you deserve it because you're white. It's interesting to compare black-dominated hoods with Mexican-dominated ones. I think it must be the immigrant mentality and Catholic component that motivates the good efforts evident in their neighborhoods. Family is still important to Mexican immigrants and the work ethic is strong. I don't know what explains the utter devastation and horror of the black south and west sides.

"Poverty" is absolutely not the causal effect of the gigantic degree of brutality and crime in these neighborhoods. It is not even a direct cause of neighborhood physical deterioration and slovenliness. This is evident when you consider what I said earlier about Mexican neighborhoods. The same can be said about other Chicago immigrant neighborhoods (Chinese, Korean, Russian, Polish, Irish . . . for some reason Puerto Rican neighborhoods are shitty in terms of upkeep. Gang culture is a major barrier to reform, too.
Thomas Sowell argues pretty persuasively that the problem is due to the lingering effects of Scots-Irish cultural influence on early southern black American communities (I forget if this is before, during, or after slavery).
