When an objective standard for discrimination on the individual is eliminated a subjective discrimination takes it’s place. His most commonly used example is that cab drivers in New York wouldn't pickup black customers because it was the best metric they had for avoiding people that would mess up their cab. Uber's system of drivers rating individual passengers fixed this because the drivers had access to a more precise metric.
Inate rcial biases exist. Sowell is right about this. Simple check for this removal of crime stats is to live in the neighborhood that is along the racial and ethnic symmetry as your own.

Y'know, I can see actual justification for that. When you're convicted of a crime, you serve your time in jail and that should be that. It seems cruel and unusual to have someone be unhireable because they stole from Walmart or whatever.
But of course, that assumes we have a functional legal and penal system. And assumes that people become repeat offenders because they have no other opportunities, which is an extension of people commit crime because they're poor... and I've just talked myself out of support for that policy in the span of a comment

Between this and the YouTube dislike count removal it's fascinating how people jump through mental hoops to justify how less information is good. Like I can see how less information would be good if that information were cluttering up a UI or if it wasn't worth the effort to add to the UI - eg. it would be mostly useless and frustrating to have information about whether the people living in the area preferred cats or dogs wasting space in the UI, or I could understand the site not wanting to implement it as it is a waste of time for them, but the argument that information is bad point-blank is absurd.
Such rationalizations are particularly funny with YouTube since hiding likes/dislikes was already an option for uploaders. Would have been easy for them to add a "hide dislikes only" option if the emotional wellbeing of uploaders is what they cared about. In addition to that, under the new system dislikes are still visible to the uploader.
It's their central principle upon which all others revolve. They manipulate, control, and hurt people with their lies. They use logically fallacious arguments, emotional appeals, appeals to authority, and ad hominems, they are hypocrites and apply their rules inconsistently, they shut down constructive debate and discussion to prevent people from finding truth, they censor the truth, they censor people that speak it, they control information sharing mediums, they rewrite history, they intentionally dumb people down to keep them ignorant, they brainwash people to do what they want, and on and on. All of their philosophies and practices fail and result in mass misery and death because they're based on lies and unsound logic, including communism, feminism, globalism, central authority, affirmative action, collective guilt, degeneracy, LGBTQ, "free" sex, abortion, egalitarianism, relativism, subjectivity, critical theory, post modernism...
Everything they say and do is lies. It's the only way they can gain power over us, to weaken us, because they know if they told us the truth for what they wanted, we would've killed them a long time ago. It's why they must control information and censor so much, to retain their power.
Yep I never even knew there was such a thing as crime data overlays. If I'm looking for a home, I drive around the neighborhood. If I see a lot of blacks, I keep on driving, lock my doors, don't stop and find another neighborhood. I'm not retarded.
True some places are that bad. I've done similar things taking the wrong exit driving through LA.
There are other places that are near places that are bad but themselves aren't really that bad, and it's sometimes hard to know where the exact boundary is. That sort of information is really important to know if you can only afford to live in such places and not in obviously nice areas.
