Protests held at Boise State after professor says at conference that men, not women, should be recruited into fields like medicine and law (archive.ph)

"Many young women at the university are worried their futures are in the hands of a tenured professor who believes they do not deserve to be there and occupy a seat that belongs to a man," Green said.

The professor said no such thing. He said it's a waste spending a bunch of time and money trying to recruit from a group (women) who clearly aren't interested in these fields.

Straw man has a point, women rarely spend a full 30 years working. Time spent training a woman is less valuable than the same time spent training a man, as the man will use the training for longer. Since there are a limited number of seats in the medicine and law schools, society benefits more by giving those seats to men. Women in medicine is a partial cause of the doctor shortage.

They did not allow degeneracy. These people only allow degeneracy.

What would have happened if a degenerate with pink hair, 19 facial piercings, morbidly obese, demanding 'neopronouns' showed up in the USSR?

Schizo-post time:

TheImpossible1 is actually a Chinese man lying about formerly living in the UK. It all adds up. The blatant hatred of women, the rejection of creating more children because they might be women, love for Chinese-owned properties like Epic, obfuscation of the roots of communism, demonization of Western traditional lifestyles. The pieces all fit!

Note that this is a joke. (Unless it's true, in which case you heard it from me first)

I feel bad for women that actually try to be responsible and make a career based off of their interests. Social engineering has made every field full of toxic women who have no interest in their career and frankly would have taken any degree that gave them handouts. The amount of women I’ve seen take scholarships in tech/ engineering just to knock out prerequisites and change degrees before any in field classes begin is hilarious. As a healthcare graduate and postgrad applicant it is equally insane how you can be the only male in a classroom but everyone assume that women are disadvantaged in college.

You should have to pay back the scholarship if you don't get a degree in the field it's awarded for.

The reality of the situation is this:

Being at the top of a field requires years of dedication, often to the detriment of other aspects of your life (family, friends, health, etc). Feminism told women that they could have it all - a family and a great career.

It's just not true. We need to stop pretending it's true. We are letting boys and girls fail up the ladder from a young age and then they get to a point where they can't fail upwards they demand the standards be lowered.

I got a degree in math, about half my graduating class was female (about 50 out of 100), and I knew 2 who were passionate about math. Neither went into teaching (well one might be a professor now, she was sharp), but both would have been good at it. The others? Who knows.

Physics department at least mostly had people who really were passionate about the field, but out of 30-40 students, I think only 4 were female. Mostly white, too, at a school that didn't skew that way -- my theory on that is no Asian parent is telling their kid to do physics, as it is as much work as engineering with like half the pay potential.

Wow. Boise State is looking really pathetic right now. I didn't know the color of the fake grass had been spread to the minds of the average student.

You need passion to go into certain fields. With no passion you can spread your hatred to other people would had passion for that field and they will a actively hate it. Because i used to have passion for physics, and that was taken away from me by a bad teacher. So forcing women into fields they are not interested in will have the same effect, either be it by teaching or by affecting their friends or coworkers the same way.

Depends on the job, but I'd say mostly men, with the rare woman who truly has a passion for the field enough to compete in this case.

For medicine, women tend to gravitate heavily towards medicine, you can look at the nordics and how many women go into medicine. Now law enforcement, that requires physical force to detain a suspect, so for that one I'll go with a minimum physical fitness requirement that would tend to disqualify most women from going into law enforcement. A small percentage of women towards the upper end of the bell curve will have no problem passing the test and should be in law enforcement if they so chose to go into the job. But a 4' 8" 90 lb female wanting to become a cop, hell no.

That just means you have failed to set your standards high enough.

No it means you don't understand what a bell curve is. I had a few guys back in my artillery days that could not load 155mm shells from the ground. When I went to a joint service school we had a female instructor that outdid the students at pull ups, she was a beast. There is a range, and if someone can meet the standards then they do the job, if they can't they don't get the job.

we have long since passed the point of "Equality" as women are now overrepresented in the majority of Tertiary education... their reaction to this fact just proves what us anti-feminists suspected all along... this was NEVER about equality
