I know one person whose elderly uncle went to the hospital last year. That person said, out loud, that they hoped it was just pneumonia and not covid-19. How do you even respond to something so stupid?
The thing I've noticed about the lefties in my life is that they are legitimately ignorant. They don't know that the "vaccines" are not sterilizing. They don't know that your odds of hospitalization after contracting covid-19 are 1-5% (leaning heavily towards 1%). They don't know that Pfizer's most recent study showed a death rate lower than 00.07%. And when I tell them these things, it's like swinging a small hammer against the Great Wall. That's the power of media.
That's unfair. Religious people have far better grounding for their beliefs than these idiotic creeps.

I'm talking about the stubborn refusal to accept anything that goes against what was taught by the thought leaders/Holy doctrine, even if it contradicts new information, or who insist that anyone who doesn't believe what they do is an evil doer who must be destroyed.
I'm not even saying all religious people are bad, as I don't think they are. I'm just saying there is an element of "well we were told this, so it must be true" to leftism as well.

I thought you were exaggerating this guy's comment. Surely, he just said: "judging from risk possibilities before the event, I would have chosen the same way" and that would not be crazy or even unreasonable. Sadly, it appears there's no such thing as non-crazy these days.

The problem is that I know not to trust the media, because they're liars, but the question is whom I should believe, as I have neither the competence or time to figure out all of this for myself. I would rather not trade in blind faith in the lying media for blind faith in something else.
The sources i've seen shows Pfizer kills about 4 people per 100,000 vaccinations. For comparison the smallpox vaccines kills 0.2 per 100,000

Oh you misunderstand me. That was the covid-19 death rate in their study. Out of 45k participants, 29 died. Half were vaxxed, half were not.
My sources say that Pfizer kills about 200,000 people per 100,000 vaccinations. For every vaccination they also kill a random person (and 5 puppies).

Start with the death rate: show them the official CDC numbers for total deaths versus total confirmed infections (leave the deaths blamed on covid thing out for now, it only puts the blinders back up. You can always come back to it later).
Now once they've seen the TOTAL DEATHS from COVID versus the TOTAL number of infections, do the percentage right in front of them.
If you don't remember how to do it, it's really simple, you should be able to use the calculator on your phone, in fact.
Just divide the number of infections by the number of deaths, which will give you a percentage value, then multiply that by 100 to get the percentage.

Noticing patterns is part of being human. You do it, too, even if it makes you uncomfortable. You could not function without that capability. No one does.
It's not racist to notice patterns in groups. Being racist means applying those group patterns to an individual and making a judgment based on that when you have other information available about that person that could be used instead.
