No. I'm grateful they went woke or else I would have wasted my life on bullshit. I used to spend tons of time watching movies, television shows, and on reddit arguing with retards. Looking back on it, I had a convoluted sense of self, believing myself (like most redditors today) to be smarter than the average person and it was society that was at fault for me not being able to "flourish".

Woke has basically ripped me away from all the bullshit, and ripped the illusion off of society and the world. It sucks for sure to see the propaganda day by day, to see millions of people (billions globally) who are blind and are still stuck in the system. But for the last couple of years I've been exercising more, taking daily walks, etc, and I've noticed more and more people are getting out of the house and exercising. The lockdowns really forced people to re-asses themselves, and some are waking up as well.

In retrospect, most media and entertainment is garbage. Do something you truly love, not something that is easy. Too many people have gotten used to taking it easy, just existing, and never really living their lives. That's why everyone's stressed out and depressed all the time.

I do miss it sometimes but I feel like it was the boiling frog thing, if it was not for media going woke a lot of people would not have been red pilled.

The older stuff is still there and not woke, so I don't mind.

For me it's YA literature. There used to be a lot of teen drama and angst focused books to be sure, but there were still fun adventure stories to be found with only a little bit of looking. But flipping through any new book and now its all about diversity and progressive topics, even already established series are inserting stuff like non binary or trans characters. You'll have some exciting magical or sci-fi stuff, and then a page explaining why a character felt like wearing a dress that day but you should still use he/him pronouns to refer to that character. It's weird when it comes to villains, because you'll either get an evil person respecting an adversary's pronouns for some reason, or them not respecting pronouns is treated as some horrible awful thing, even if they're already a mass murderer or something.

I saw American Beauty for the first time the other day with someone who insisted I do and all I could think about during the movie is how Hollywood absolutely grooms kids to be sexual playthings for old men, glorify adultery, and of course they portray a Marine as a closet homosexual who is outwardly hateful and beats his kid,

Doesn't help that Kevin Spacey literally raped teenagers in real life.

Everything dies eventually. Doesn't matter what the reason is. Everything comes to an end one way or another. You have to constantly look for new stuff that piques your interest.

The trick is staying ahead of the curve. Once you notice the decline has set in get ready to move on.

Not really. Even before everything went woke I didn't much care about popular media. I have found a TON of great alternative content on youtube.

It really hasn't affected me. I don't watch TV and read a lot. Plus, horror as a genre has been relatively untouched by this woke crap. Even the horror movies that are trying to make statements about race (Get Out) I still found pretty enjoyable.

It's also the only genre that seems still interested in Christianity since demonic possession is a subgenre of horror. I'm not religious but it does bother me how much of mainstream media seems to ignore that much of the country still is.

Ignorance is bliss. On one hand it was nice to be able to just plug in and consoom without bracing for the inevitable stronk wamen or witemanbad moment, but on the other its nice not wasting as much time with that stuff.

Spending time on more important things like exercise, finances, physical skills, and keeping a schedule is more "stressful" and not "relaxing" but you gradually acclimate yourself to handling it.

Japanese media isn't quite there yet, neither are vtubers. I'm still safe for now.

What bothers me is the woke stuff aimed at kids. I’m glad my kids were born in the 00’s. Sesame Street now has Elmo and his dad supporting BLM. Gay dads. The Rugrats turned a character into a lesbian who was not gay in the original. I watched the shows with my kids to filter the content. It has gotten worse now.

I used to love Star Wars and Star Trek. Now they are woke garbage. They are rebooted only to take the iconic characters you loved as a kid, who happen to be white and male, and turn them into washed up losers decrying their unearned privilege while the female characters are like Superman in a world without kryptonite

Yes it is true but the propaganda was still there just much more nuanced. I've come to like being especially picky with what media I want to spend my time with if any.

Yes I do. As a child I watched straight up news on one of the four channels we had on our tube tv which we had to get our butts off the couch to change by hand as there were no remotes. This I also miss as my kids call me a technotard because I can never figure out the ten million remotes to do one thing! (Exaggeration intended)

Movies and TV, maybe a little bit. The sports I gave up on, not really. I just found alternatives for the most part. Old movies, amateur sports, etc. Gaming? Not in the slightest. Most of the games I quit playing before they were woke because they were ruined by microtransactions, pro gamers, streamers, etc. There's still plenty I like, albeit most of that is old too.

I miss gaming, comic book culture, and sci-fi.

You would be surprised how woke things were before you were made so hyper-aware of it. Revisit some old things you enjoyed a decade ago. You would be surprised how much went over your head. The world didn't change. Hell, the Simpsons was lampooning this shit in the fucking 90s because it's not some new phenomena. It's just that the internet gave more people megaphones.

I'm relieved that there is an enormous amount of content created before 2014 in a variety of media. I could probably go the rest of my life without exhausting existing media (case in point, my Steam backlog).

I've started seeking free ways to find older television. Been binging through Andromeda (Space Hercules). Has some weirdly stupid writing at times, and its low budget shows. But for the goody two shoes that the main character (Kevin Sorbo) is, he's no nonsense when it counts, and as far as I've gotten, the fourth season, the government that HE'S SPENT THE ENTIRE SERIES RESTORING is going corrupt at the highest level.

It always bends to fart sniffing. A good medium, without clear, strict canon, will become lost in the weeds, aka, turd blossoms. ST:TNG, for every good episode like Best of Both Worlds had shit like Renegade Borg and Warp Galaxy Warming.
